Weldone , this is how most of us started but I must advice you to relocate that inverter position as it can get all messy maintaining flooded or tubular batteries .. Isolate the batteries from any metal , clothing , if possible construct a plastic base/pallette for the battery alone .. That chemical has a way of rendering your wears useless .. Cheer's

be sure to get a solar charge controller which is capable of doing equalisation. The tubular battery is a good one but if not used with the right charger would die before it's time.

the inverter itself is a solar inverter. i don't think i need a charge controller...or do i?

My inverter set-up for now. I'll be upraging it with solar panels next week. I just hope it is a reliable set-up tho
