4 Play:they be prefer to be a trading outpost. The free port of football. An EXPORT TRADE ZONE. By the time many of those are matured, they'll be raided by other clubs and it will be back to square one |
software:i wonder too my brother. maybe they really should start considering a new manager blackburn!!!!!!!!burns gooners |
this show is some real fun. the calabar audition brought out a lot of clowns. there was this rasta guy that rendered wyclef's dialo. i actually couldn't stop laughing. i heard a guy came to perform fela's song and he was clad in white pants(underwear). i missed that though. there were some others that had real good talent but chose some wrong songs. a girl performed one of marymary's track, though she sang well, she was asked to do another song she did another of marmary's track again and she was disqualified. some of them should have sat down with their friends at home for some mini audition and they would not have disgraced themselves this much. |
u sure have a nice head true |
they struggled to get past the group the stage and are in some trouble now. you shoul know that Li'lpool are not pushovers themselves and they got fighting spirit too. this time around it'll be difficult for them to get past this knockout stage. Li'lpool will do everything within their power to get at least a draw which is all they'll need. they can hope for better times next season! |
You don't need to be scared for any reasons. The first few days can be hell. registration can be hell and trying to adjust to the camp life. But i cant assure you that the next two weeks after that will be fun. Some do cry on the last day when they are about leaving camp when they get separated from the new friends they've made And please, you'll do well not to fall in love in camp . The heartbreaks are more than the success stories. ![]() |
How many countries are we going to start treating badly because they treat our nationals badly. Even Wole Soyinka was given a similar treatment in South Africa a few years back, he was detained at the airport for several hours. He was invited by the Mandelas to deliver a lecture; it took their personal intervention to bring about his release. While our leaders must take action now and begin to demand for more respect from other African countries, they also must start taking action against those giving us a bad name. Nigeria is not the only bad country, agreed, but we have such a large population that it takes just a tiny fraction of us to give us a bad name. And we must constantly work to ensure that we discourage those few. |
kitaun:and we are gladly handing over to the gooners ![]() |
The Senate Ad hoc Committee on the Petroleum Technology Development Fund has come out with its report. Here are some excerpts ”That His Excellency, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, vice-president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria from 1999 to 2007, abused his office by aiding and abetting the diversion of public funds in the sums of $125m and $20m respectively approved for specific projects to deposits in banks, some of which were fraudulently converted to loans to Netlink Digital Television, Mofas Shipping Company Limited and Transvari Services Limited.” It also noted that contrary to the argument by Abubakar that PTDF funds were not lost in the various placements, N1.130bn loaned in two instalments to the NDTV; N420m to Mofas Shipping Company Limited; and N300m to Transvari Services Limited by TIB were yet to be recovered. The committee, however, said that although the loans had been restructured with the acquisition of TIB by Spring Bank Plc., they (loans) might not be recovered outside the restructured framework without endangering the health of Spring Bank. It, therefore, recommended that the VP be penalised for the offences." The Presidency is also not spared: ”The President and the FEC acted in disregard of the law establishing the PTDF. Though the ratification by the FEC may mitigate this breach of the law, it however, does not absolve the President and the council of blame.” |
the coins look beautiful to me, but it might be too early to judge their relevance heard the polymer notes tend to fade after a while. Is there anyone with experience on polymer notes? |
oge4real:u don't have to take it to the extreme. we have to continue to hold our heads high. @youngies i can understand what you mean |
mukina2:nothing a personal, just watching out for a fellow true BLUE. ![]() and by the way have u paid up ![]() |
@youngies don't get me wrong. i was just trying to list the very many sources where people receive report about Nigeria and form an impression about nigeria. To Non-nigerians, it is very easy to form an opinion from these sources. someone resumed at a school abroad for post-grad studies, on introducing himself as a nigerian to his couresemates, he is inundated with stories of scam mails they receive from nigerians. that's why i say nigerians may continue to receive such treatment except we clean our acts |
it is what we are doing presently that they will remember. Get into any cyber-cafe and see what every tom, dick and harry is trying to do. when we travel abroad a good number of us are doing all manner of crooked things just to make money. Last year, the CNN did an investigative documentary on Nigerians living in Texas and concluded that most Nigerians living in the US are involved in one fraud or the other. Nigerians had to to stand up and demand a retraction of the story and an aplology, which they did. This year again Chatham house, a think-tank group in the UK also brought out a damming report about internet fraud from Nigeria claiming that losses to Britain last runs into millions of pounds. No matter how much we scream about it, the activity of those perpetrating these atrocities will continue to soil our image abroad Even our vice president was in US and the UK in the last few months and interestingly enough not to launder our image but to deliver bad news about nigeria |
Razorr:i was scared for him too. cech says he should be given the 'iron man of the year' award. @razorr and i have promised to drag muki to the efcc if she defaults on payment. mukina2:that is a family issue. we'll deal with it. the special one has promised to "educate him and not kill him". |
mukina2:take it easy. i know it is such a hard time to be a gunners with another trophy-less season starring you in the face. take solace int the fact that your young guns did you proud and they have such a bright future mukina2:@razorr pls send your bank account quick. don't do it online though. i should guess those gunners are in a dangerous mood now |
4 Play: EASY |
a big @razorr i hope mukina pays up or you report her to the efcc |
YES O! It's a good night to wear the blue colour. STAND UP FOR THE CHAMPIONS! |
UP BLUES!!!! UP BLUES!!!! LIFTED THE FIRST OF OUR TROPHIES FOR THIS SEASON The fracas not withstanding, this was some match! |
take a few change of clothes. these days they sometimes have problem with kits and you might have to wear personal clothes for a few days. go with your white vest/shots especially the vest, what you'll get in camp will get slack fast try to go with as few things as possible; a load can be a burden you'll also need a waist-bag to keep your stuffs in them a bag may not be allowed on the parade ground do have fun. you'll probably hate the first few days but by the end of the week you''ll get used to the routine. and be very ready and open to meet friends, you'll enjoy nothing better no amount is too much. you might not like the food that will be served, but it's always passable anyway |
candylips:that's crazy. He still has lots to contribute. |
Her excellency, what do we do to to our universities; sack all the lecturers? and u forgot to deal with them mobil, chevron and shell. i seriously need to know your plans for these. Hugo Chavez is a good example |
what do you think is kalu's reason for making such a statement. 1. He badly needs some attention, it's hard to remember he is a presidential hopeful-candidate 2. He is used to talking without thinking. several cases; his allegations against anenih where he had to apologise, that obj has a platinum card which has been found to be false. Even though he ribadu is not required by law to do according to kalu's bidding, he could just take up the challenge and end the nonsense |
it'd crazy in here. thank God some men are doing us proud @Davidylan that was some witty reply |
some of you really need to sit down and do some soul searching. if u claim atiku is not corrupt because no court of competent jurisdiction has declared so which legally u are right to say so. And in the same breadth you declare obasanjo to be the corrupt one because ATIKU says so. Then where is the logic and soundness in your argument. Need we remind those who vehemently campaign for atilku that obj is not the one on the spot. Nigerians are not about to make a decision about obasanjo again. Many of the accusations against obasanjo were committed when the going-on between atiku and obasanjo was good. Why will Atiku decide to remain in a government he believes is autocratic and is out to nigerians harm. All through these 8 years and only in the last year you suddenly wake up to the reality that you are in the wrong place and even now he has not decided to call it quits. We are not fooled by what obasanjo is doing neither are we going to be fooled by atiku. there are other candidates that present less-criminal choices for us. We'd rather stick to them than to some morally-bankrupt leaders |
i can actually pay for a wrap-around ad for this manifesto in all major dailies! soft-sell and hard-sell mags. I'm sure there'll be lots of contracts to be awarded afterwards and oh!!! you forgot to mention your plans for the oil blocs. lots to give out. how about multinationals, where do they feature ? Shouldn't we send them packing, especially the oil giants. |
That Atiku and others fought against 3rd term agenda does not in any way makes him not corrupt. No one can in all truth answer that question with a definite yes or no except the intellectually numbing 'everybody is corrupt' argument. But from the results of some of the investigations carried out by relevant agencies, there are questions that beg for answers and only the courts of law can ultimately determine his culpability. In the meantime, I would rather look for other candidates who have no such questions hanging around their necks and who have not displayed a tendency to be corrupt and vote for them. Please note that this question only becomes relevant in the light of forthcoming elections and who governs nigeria in the next dispensation |
Try and read this; http://www.thisdayonline.com/nview.php?id=71197 That corruption should be fought is a fact that cannot be overstated in a country like ours. We are all privy to the its debilitating effects on our country. A thief should not tell that he is not a thief just because every other thief in the land has not been caught. We shouldn't listen to such corrupt politicians who are stealing our money and crying for sympathy from us. The issue is whether they are corrupt or not. Have they or haven't they really stolen money. Therefore, if for the first time in our country, corruption is being fought, then it is highly commendable. It does not also say that where there are observed lapses in the fight against corruption from the agencies saddled with such responsibility, that we should turn a blind eye. NO. That is why, I believe, the national assembly is trying to amend the EFCC act to make it autonomous, free of the executive arm. That is what any well meaning nigerian should be clamour and not to join in in castigating the EFCC. |
stop acting like babies instead of just doing a simple google search Read this; http://www.efccnigeria.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=956&Itemid=2 Even the EFCC is temperate in its characterization and choice of words. Whatever the problem is with the EFCC, I hope Adenuga is willing to come back home someday to clear his name ![]() There's no doubt Adenuga is doing a lot in this country. He's one of the businesspeople we should be proud of. But he doesnt do him or anybody else any good if he bolts from law enforcement agencies |
According to him, "section 137 sub-section 1(1) of the 1999 constitution stipulates that "A person shall not be qualified for election to the office of president if he has been indicted for embezzlement or fraud by a Judicial Commission of Inquiry or an Administrative Panel of Inquiry or a Tribunal set up under the Tribunals of Inquiry Act… or any other law by the Federal or state Government which indictment has been accepted by the Federal or State Government respectively." The above is a quote from the constitution by Gani Fawehimi. It says indictment and not charged to court and found guilty. The EFCC has stated its determination to prosecute these corrupt persons but it cannot do so now while they are still being protected by the immunity clause. If these people are allowed to contest the elections and they win, they are again covered by immunity garb and the cycle goes on. It is good that they are being prevented from running for elective posts at all. We''ll wait and see if the EFCC will make good on its threat of prosecuting these indicted officials when they eventually leave office and what the outcome will be. |

where you dere when it started
