Bridging the gap between VACCINATION and DISINFECTION. With common hygiene measures and healthy living, COVID-19 is sure to be put under control. Most of us walk into shopping centers with UNSANITIZED SHOPPING TROLLEYS unknowingly. Our sanitized hands become unsanitized after touching the trolleys loaded with very harmful disease-causing viruses and bacteria including the Coronaviruses.

ARE NIGERIANS AWARE OF THE LOADS OF VERY HARMFUL VIRUSES AND BACTERIA DEPOSITED DAILY ON THE SHOPPING CARTS?

I am pleased to draw to the attention of the house in this unfortunate period in our history of COVID-19, recalling first with a
deep sense of gratitude your effort so far in the fight against the pandemic, an issue that is rendering your effort a waste and needs to be addressed urgently.

COVID-19 has affected the way we mingle and which spreads faster in crowded places, particularly indoors, like the shopping malls. Millions of Nigerians walk through the supermarkets everyday because of the convenience and services that it offers among which is to safeguard them, their families and pets from infection. The question is; what are the safety measures in place, how are they enforced and how sufficient and reliable are they with the rapidly increasing number of shoppers that use the centers?

A visit to most shopping centers reveal the application of the common measures according to the World Health Organization, WHO, and the Nigerian Center for Disease Control, NCDC, like the wearing of a nose mask, control of body temperature and the sanitization of the hands before entry.

In May 2020, the World Health Organization came up with a publication on some procedures to take to ensure the safety of food business from COVID-19 contamination. One of these rules is on how shopping carts or trolleys should be disinfected. ( https://www.who.int/.../coronavirus-disease-covid-19-food...). Are the supermarkets in Nigeria complying with this rule? The answer is obviously no. Shoppers pick non-disinfected carts, sanitize their hands at the entrance into the malls and finally walk in with their sanitized hands back on the unsanitized carts. Most of us touch our face, eyes and nostrils (against the recommended rules) after touching unsanitized surfaces. Are Nigerians aware of the deposits of very harmful viruses and bacteria ( https://www.researchgate.net/.../289170286_Bacterial...) on these shopping carts and the fact that they can survive for 24 to 72 hours on different types of surfaces? Why is the World Health Organization emphasizing on disinfecting the carts?

We are THE REAL EVIL. In a society of HUMAN BEINGS with a kind heart, it can never happen. One can imagine how much effort the mother had made to CRY OUT TO THE PUBLIC but who cares to listen. Our heart is wicked. We are JUST PRETENDING to be sympathetic. How come it took so much time for the mother to get the police and a lawyer attention while her child suffered starvation for days until death. If she had CRIED OUT on the street or in the market place, MOST OF YOU HERE SHEDDING CROCODILE TEARS WILL NOT LISTEN TO HER.

Then what is the relevance of sanitizing our hands at the entrance of the shopping centers?

We INVEST so much ENERGY and TIME buying lottery tickets, watch TV endlessly, engage in endless IRRELEVANT ONLINE conversations and turning around BLAMING the LEADERSHIP and our BITTER FEELINGS and REMARKS is the CAUSE of CHAOS and DISORDER that we experience every day.

What we ACHIEVE is the RESULT of what we do, or FAIL to do, day-by-day and year-by-year.

Once upon a time, a long time ago, in a land far away, there lived an old man in a house on top of a hill. He had dedicated his ENTIRE LIFE to STUDY and MEDITATION.

He was KNOWN far and wide for his intelligence, sensitivity and wisdom.

Politicians, businesspeople and dignitaries came to visit him and ask him questions. His answers were always correct. He seemed to have a SPECIAL FACULTY that enabled him to cut to the essence of any problem PR issue. When his answers and solutions were implemented, the result was always excellent. His fame soon spread throughout the land.

In the village bellow the hill was a group of boys who played together. Sometimes they climbed the hill to visit the old man and ask him questions, for which he always seemed to have the correct answer.

Over time, it became a little game, with the boys continually trying to THINK of a question that the old man could not answer. But they were not successful.

One day, the RINGLEADER of the group called others around him and said, "I have finally found a way to make the old STUMBLE and FAIL.

Here in my hand, I have a bird. We will go and ask the old man if the bird is ALIVE or DEAD. If he says that it is dead, I will RELEASE it and it will fly away. If he says that it is alive, I will CRUSH it, and the bird will be dead. Either way, he will at last have been proven wrong.

Excited about the prospect of finally CATCHING the old man with a wrong answer, they hurried up the hill.

The old man WATCHED them coming and NOTICED the EAGER looks on their faces.

Then the RINGLEADER stepped forward and asked, " Old man, I have a bird here in my hands. Is it ALIVE or DEAD?

The old man looked at their MISCHIEVOUS, EXPECTANT faces and then quietly said to the RINGLEADER,
"it is in your hands"

So, we NIGERIANS are RESPONSIBLE for whatever SITUATION Nigeria is passing through today.

We constantly WISH and HOPE that something GOOD and MIRACULOUS happen without DOING GOOD and MIRACULOUS things.

It is a pity.

SOME LADIES ARE ALREADY STRESSED UP AND EVEN SCARED OF NOT GETTING PREGNANT SIMPLY BY WRONG BELIEFS.

The biblical Mary conceived spiritually FIRST. BELIEF is the first step.

Women of today need to be RETRAINED about conception. Their body gets prepared for it when they start to see their monthly period. Wrong beliefs LEADS to wrong lifestyle which slows down or block natural processes or abilities of the cells.

Barrenness can be cured with just water but the mind have to believe it first.
