hunniesuzie: Lol, pele
Actually there's nothing wrong with bathing a baby with black soap. Just know the source and ensure that it is black soap for babies
I bathe my son with black soap and he's fine If it's for bathing, I wouldn't mind but they want to use it for his newly circumcised organ. I feel the pain will be too much for him. |
Health › Re: NEW BORN BABIES! Are U A New Mum? Then Lets Discuss Babies Here!!!!! by Oliran(f): 12:24pm On Aug 09, 2018 |
Mamas thank you all for your response, I really appreciate. The circumcision went well, it was done by hubby's cousin who is a nurse, we did it in our house. He didn't cry much even the woman who did it really commend him, hubby insisted on being present during the process so I had no choice than to be there, I cried sha. my MIL and hubby's cousin said my tears is even more than the baby's own. This morning was another show, we were told to remove the little bandage wrapped around it, he cried during the act.
Imagine, someone advice my MIL to wash by baby's organ with black soap, how cruel. I told her we are not using black soap, what kinda wickedness is that. I have informed hubby too, nobody should use black soap on my baby.

forzarush: Oliran, I don't know about the rest but that circumcision you just have to bone,be strong. I held my baby during his,at first I couldn't stand his wailing but I wanted to be there and I made my choice. I remember I started crying when he wouldn't stop after the procedure,it was my mum who told me he hurt cos he wanted to pee. Thank you mummy fortune, I will do all I can to stay strong. How's fortune's health? |

JGracious: The answer you have been given from other mamas will suffice.
stay strong tomorrow o,don't go and do cry cry at the hospital. Try and go with someone so you won't be soo tensed up. if possible, walk far away from where the procedure will carried out. You won't be able to withstand your baby yelling if he does. Some baby are so brave that they cry a little. Be sure to ask about the process of after-care and follow it.
Cheers. Thank you ma, I really appreciate. |

FINA4804: @Oliran 1. I don't understand what you mean by trembling but do not panic, you may just need to see a pediatrician to get your mind more relaxed. 2. Why did you wait for two weeks before circumcision 3. My daughter rolls her eyes, I noticed she has big eye balls not too big oh, and I can trace that to my husband's family, so there is nothing to worry about. Just check your child's other well being like crying, temperature, if every other thing is all right just relax and always be positive , never think left We did his dedication on Saturday and I was told to allow him rest for some days before circumcision, Thank you ma'am. |

Nimi22: Welcome to the newborn thread
When I had my son top one of his legs trembles a lot and I checked Google it told me it was nothing just muscles trying to do one thing one thing can't remember again. You can check or anybody that has experience can tell you more about it.
We had our circumcision at 2 weeks too and it wasn't that bad je just cried when it was being done and after it nothing else, we were putting anointing oil till the ring fell off and was giving vit c, pcm and antibiotics
No idea about that. Thank you ma'am |

iaatmgirl: 1. the trembling is normal except you think it's excessive. When I observed that of my lo some weeks back, Dr said it was fine so long as it's short and not something that goes on beyond few seconds. It usually happened when he was partly asleep.
2. I don't know about easing the pain. But ask them what method they used and how best to manage it. The approach used wud determine the care afterwards.
3. That eyes rolling upward/backwards scares me a lot. Dr said it's normal though.
I'd advise you still mention all when next you see a doctor. Sometimes babies should be treated on a case by case basis. Thank you ma'am for your response. |

hunniesuzie: Congratulations
1. I think it's normal, he's been in a warm enclosed place with lots of fluid for 40 weeks give or take, he's adjusting to his new environment. Before, whenever he moves he hits a "wall" now there's so much space! It's a bit disconcerting don't you agree? 2. Nothing, he won't remember it by the next day, if you can get another person to take him and stay far away, that's what I did. Just follow the instructions given by the person that does the circumcision 3. No clue but my instincts are the same as no 1 Thank you so much ma, I really appreciate. |

Good morning mamas, I'm officially reporting to this thread. My Lo will be 2weeks tomorrow by God's grace and I've got few questions to ask.
1. His hands shake at times, as if someone is trembling. What could be the cause and what can I do to stop it?
2.= He will be circumcised tomorrow, how do I help him ease the pain? I can't stop thinking about the pain he's likely to go through.
3. There's a way he rolls his eyes that get me scared, please is it something to worry about?
Sabi mamas Abeg help me, May God bless us all.

I was asked to go back home, time the contractions and come back if the interval is close. My bestie's house is close so I went there, I asked my sister to go bring my hospital bag to my friend's place. I met bestie's mum at home and she prepared hot semo and ogbono soup for me, I couldn't eat much. Around 10am, my sister called from her work place to check on me. She told bestie to not let me sleep or lazy around that she should pack all their dirty clothes and dishes for me to wash and I should take a long walk, all these while the contractions was still mild. I washed the dirty dishes, the contractions was becoming intensed that I had to kneel down and crawl when it comes. After the dishes, I commenced with the clothes, the pain was more and frequent so my bestie timed it, we got 4mins interval. When we got to 2mins interval, I was still washing the clothes, when the pain hits me I would kneel on the floor and crawl. Bestie asked that we go to the hospital. I got there around 12:30 and was checked again, the doctor said I should walk about or climb stairs, all these while I'm still leaking water. Vagina Examination pain is indescribable. I walked about for hours, I started checking time 2,3,4,5,6pm, baby didn't come and the pain is becoming unbearable. When it was 7pm I was taken to the labour room and the doctor asked the to do something for me, she started pinching my stomach. I was just just screaming, pinching a pregnant woman at the point of pain, God!! The doctor said I'm supposed to have given birth since, he said my cervix is small. To help me they had to apply pressure on my stomach and my baby came crying out his lungs at 8:25pm. 8hours of Intense and unbearable pain! I felt relieved immediately and the placenta was delivered too.
I'm so sorry for this boring BS, I'm more of a talker than writer, please help me manage it.
I can't start mentioning names, I'm deeply grateful for the prayers and love. I love you all
Eri-ife is saying good morning to everyone.

BS!!
I went for ultrasound on 23rd of July and I was told I'm 35weeks as against 38weeks (Lmp) and the sonographer said the difference is much and it's possible my baby wasn't growing well at some point, though the scan showed my baby was 2.7kg that day, I rejected what he said( in my mind).
I took the result to Antenatal the following day and I asked the doctor if there's anything wrong and he told me there's nothing wrong with the baby.
On Wednesday, 23rd of July. I woke up to pee around 5am, I wanted to lie down and continue my sleep, I noticed I was peeing on myself again. I sensed that was my water and immediately everything I learnt on Pregnancy thread vanished, I don't know what to do next. My Sister said we should go to the hospital immediately, I told her to be patient. I was still blank on what to do next so I immediately had a chat with a friend from NL( May Allah always meet you at your point of need) thank God she was online that early. She calmed me and told me to not panic.
After the chat, I packed my dirty clothes and started washing. I had a warm bath after doing laundry and I took hot pap. Myself and my sister left for the hospital around 8am. |

LEEMAH50: team October, I'm out of the race,I went for my normal antenatal yesterday and the doctor couldn't find my baby's heartbeat and I was sent for scan and the scan IUFD,I was Induced yesterday by 9pm and I gave birth to my baby girl sleeping by 4:30pm So sorry ma'am, may God give you double for your trouble |
Health › Re: Pregnancy Are You Pregnant Or Going Through A High Risk Pregnancy,,lets Talk by Oliran(f): 2:56pm On Jul 24, 2018 |
lightedpath: Because the difference is 3 weeks, it may be a queried IUGR (baby not growing as expected). They may ask you to do a doppler scan to be sure baby is fine. I would advice you not to worry, your doctor will advice appropriately. When i had a similar issue, it was nothing serious at all. Could just be that baby has small size especially if you are also a smally. So please relax Thank you so much ma'am, the doctor I met today said there's no problem, my baby weight is 2.7kg and every other thing is normal. He said there's nothing to worry about. God bless you ma. |
