Answers to questions

1. you will need 60A minimum, as for brand you will need to talk to valto ..... he has a adjustable lithium charger

2. 80A will be a good start, as for brand ...... you will need one that can record and allow for parameter edition e.g. victron if with enough budget, Epever, felicity, and a few i can not remember

2. Do I need 60A or 80A Charge Controller for 2.8kva /8kwh banks? And what good brand CC can you recommend?

1. Buy a good MPPT charge controller with editable settings
2. Use a BMS with editable settings over bluetooth and if i can trigger a low battery signal, so you know when to put if off

if you reduce your fan from normal ones to DC/ energy saving types then it is possible that you get a starter package on your budget with lead acid

considering you will need a
1kva
220Ah/200Ah Tubular
30-60A PWM charge controller
300W [150Wx 2]
other materials void of basic protection for your system.

you need 600W to charge the battery but with a fair grid supply you can run with this till you can increase budget.

you did good with this installation, all i see is improvements in your ideas and skills ......... happy for you.

what i believe you should do to maximize things is

1. introduction of 275Vac SPD [Budget] or a Midnite 300Vac SPD to all incoming AC connections to the inverter area, ensure you have a good earth connection to complete thee SPD install

2. introduce 600 - 500Vdc SPD for both your inverters since they work with solar panels, also a DC breaker from panels to inverter incase non was present.

sure others will have a thing or two to say.

Since your average peak load is fridge and other peak loads are occasional use, I'd suggest you stick with a 3KW OR 3.5KW hybrid inverter

Felicity have a 24V battery too that you can explore.

I need to power a fridge (just to make it chill and put it off) and most importantly a washing machine, pumping machine the rest are just led bulbs and rechargable fan.
Not like all would be in use at once.

So I have eyes on a 24v 5kw felicity lithium battery.
I want to know if that's is enough and how many solar panels I will need, the type of charge controller I need and the inverter needed to make this happen.

I would he happy if someone can give me a quote for this.

Add an extra 200W panel to provide adequate charging but if with very good grid supply ... You disregard this.

This is the materials I currently have with tow dead 100ah battery... Now I really wish to upgrade to lithium battery....advise needed.

How fast you need your battery banks to charge - which is where PV array oversizing comes in.

How long you need your loads to last for either
Normal operation hour, one day autonomy or two days ... Et. Cetera

And even the battery sizing requires more PV too as regards to charging .... Hope this is helpful?

Allocated only few hours during peak between 11am - 1pm ...anyone that miss the memo can try again the next day.

As 1. You PV cant charge your battery full as still you dey throwa the small charge

2. Watch out so you don't shorten the lifespan of dem batteries.

My neighbours are raping me.
My setup is a mere 600w pv and 400ah sla.
Since PHCN is on strike, my neighbours has concluded that I am uncle goody goody charge center.
Presently, I have 6 phones and 1 laptop connected for charging and I'm still expecting more when the rest return from work!
Forum members, please pray for my batteries.

I'll update the paper, though the priority here are the workstations, and router charging, other won't be running for more than 4 hours per day, except maybe the TVs on weekends.

1. Please does anyone know if there are any quality inverter 1.5-2kva capacity that is 12v and has inbuilt Charge Cont.
: I will recommend Vmpower 1.5kva inverter 12V with 30A PWM from my review does 10-15A depending on battery size, state of charge and it handles a surge of a refrigerator well.

2. If I later decide to get a standalone Charge Controller can I still pair it with an hybrid inverter that already has an inbuilt one? Yes! At some point one will stop working while the other is due to voltage difference especially when battery is almost full

Recommended inverter size will be 3-3.5 KVA inverter but sadly this where all your information stops, as without the hour of their usage there is no way that your solar panel and batteries size can be effectively determined as you may end up with a system not properly sized due to the above.

If you can update your. A4. Paper with two column showing daily and night hours of usage then, your journey just dey start proper.

Sir, I've checked the wattage. My calculations shows it's 1014.9 Watts altogether.

I'm surprised at the wattage of a few of the devices: Zbook laptop 200W (charger), I don't know it should be this high.
Also, LG 70" UHD 4K is 20W, I was expecting this to be higher. So I'm confused, maybe I'm not checking the right info.

If you have the manual the better, the BO1-4, WITH 1/2 Being lead acid and i think 3/4 Being lithium.

Check online for manual to be well guided.

I am afraid what you got is a fake schneider, chint don't come close to schneider in pricing that's why it is fair alternative

Schneider electric. I got them for 4000 each for DC 2P and 2500 for AC 2P, 1500 for AC 2P.

I saw another product CHNT which quoted for 6000 for 2P DC and 3000 for 2P AC.

This is quite spot on & a very direct answer

The site for some reason had other things connected to non isolated loads destroyed by unknown surge or spike but inverter supplied loads plus inverter were not damaged ... These happened twice within two weeks period

The aim of picture is to draw our attention to importance of SPD and most importantly the right types of SPD

Noticed it is rated @ 275Vac - Uc i.e. inline with RMS and close to Un of 230Vac of our local supply

The 63A is meant to isolate inverter incase of overload according to estimated loads and also DC ... So not the regular main switch breakers with no tripping feature

As for the other AC connections they are okay and in line with your description according to incoming

Pic wiring is not clear. The wiring should be from main circuit breaker which I think is 63a (which is DC and so wrong) to the AC spd and from the spd to other AC breakers

Yes, the breakers are serving different purposes but something is bad in the picture.

Check again, you might spot it

Breakers are of different ratings and type.

2 is 16A AC breaker

3 is 10A AC breaker

and 4 is 63A DC breaker and the SPD is for AC circuit.

I have not known pylontech to have bell & whistle except for anyone that uses an incompatible inverter or controller with it.

It is mostly a install and forget situations so far.

Most 1.5kva hybrid comes with PWM 3KW mostly are retrofitted with MPPT.

Best you do separate system if MPPT is your choice
