Yes, I didn't because they are both produced by the same company and imported by simba group ... Though there are opinion that genus is better than luminous but I believe both are the same.

Hamthablow:
Good day bro, I notice you guys don't talk about Genus battery and inverter. Can you please say something about it.
Waiting to get a response.
Thank you.

Noted, but I believe you got the usage I was referring to wrongly

So between 8pm - 12am/3am -7am

How many hours does these appliances run for?

Saying that they all run for 8 hours mean they will have used 4,400Wh
Equal to 4 battery system theoretically

Kindly give a detail estimated breakdown hours of their running as stated above to give a precise advice

Yes, both NEPA and solar can charge alternative or as you plan or decide it to be.

Bbdealer:
God bless you for this reply

My usage is 8hrs (8pm to 12am and 3am to 7am)
Also can I charge the system with both nepa and solar alternative
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by olopan(m): 7:27am On Dec 11, 2021
For your loads, estimated at
10W bulb
85W TV
80W fan
20W decoders
Total of 550W , a 1KVA inverter can handle this loads

What is confusing is your pattern of usage isn't know meaning if you run these loads full time and inefficiently your energy storage (battery) will be huge
If you can state your usage pattern and let other folks look into it will be cool

Products you can look into
Battery
NXT index battery
Quanta Battery
Eastman

Inverter
Luminous
Eastman
Vmpower
Others

Solar panels
Jinko
Canadian
Yingli

SMS
Flames and others

You will need an MPPT charger for more efficiency of your battery charging

And others
Bbdealer:
Power load:
10 energy saving bulb
2 flat screen
3 celling fan
2 decoder
Please I need a total list of type of battery, solar panels and everything needed for a fully operational setup

I have not encounter such error before and the error is not available in Growatt error handbook

What battery is used with the inverter?

You should mail growatt directly at service@ginverter.com

Or contact your seller for warranty claims

jamesid29:
Good morning house. Please has anyone ever encountered an " Internal communication error" on a growatt inverter before.

The inverter is just giving a continuous ringing sound with an error code of 62. I checked the manual and it says that's an internal communication error.

Please o, anyone knows what caused the error and best fix for it. There's nothing on google and the manual so far. Pls any help or insight is highly appreciated o. Thank you very much in advance

The inverter is a growatt 5000es inverter.

Thanks for the compliment

Valto:
^^^ nice job @olopan. my epever 5kw hybrid consumes about 40w to 50w. the kartel consuming 240w is still a big waste. he should work towards replacing it with a something like this rugged TBB power inverter that has incredible low self consumption of around 17w to 22w
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by olopan(m): 11:42am On Dec 01, 2021
Sometime recently a member @En0uwem of this forum had a problem with his solar setup not charging well and not serving him as expected, he reached out to perform audit at his site

It was discovered his Kartel inverter consumed up to 240W while inverting and his base loads were hovering between 700-800W, from calculations it is noted that his daily usage had taken the energy generated by the panels leaving him with little energy by days end.

We were able to
1. Add extra panels to allow for more charge time and load provision via self consumption
2. Allow increased airflow and optimised the solar panel angles
3. Arrange the DC terminals to charge and discharge equally
4. Protect the setup against surge arising from lightning
5. Introduced OCPD and a means of shutdown in cases of fault or mainteance

Now the setup has seen improved charge time and usage

our Team will like to thank you for the hospitality and attention given to us while with you.

Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by olopan(m): 2:05pm On Nov 28, 2021
Evenly maybe!
since you will change it over only one bank is full

I would prefer you charge each bank with the separate solar array this way you only apply the change over on the inverter side alone

samnaija:
Thanks for this the knife change over, will it charge both banks evenly.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by olopan(m): 1:13pm On Nov 28, 2021
Yes a battery switch helps

Assuming that the array you want to use is big enough to charge both batteries

Getting a knife edge change over with the batteries being the two input and the output being the charge controller

Just don't change it over so quickly

samnaija:
The question is I want to charge the two banks with one single array. I know I can't parallel the 2banks because of age, does a battery switch help in this aspect to charge the 2 banks. Or any automated system for this thanks in advance.

Good afternoon everyone,

Please anyone with a faulty axpert VMIII, a friend wants to buy and try out the display to work with his lithium battery.

Kindly reach out please
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by olopan(m): 6:12pm On Nov 14, 2021
You have managed your setup quite very well wink

BTW your battery just enters absorption at said time and on days where you didn't use so much power from your battery, you should notice the battery resting at around 13.7V or 13.x depending on your charge controllers setting

Polaris1:
My battery will float charge (14.2) around 10a.m on normal days, in the evening around 5p.m it's 12.7v. After powering only the fan overnight, it will read 12.5v.
I have been happy since.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by olopan(m): 9:43pm On Nov 12, 2021
Running it continuously for six hours is not advised, two-three hours at a go is Okay, especially for longevity and to do its worth or performance

With more power from the solar panel, the fluctuation of voltage will not matter, as your load is covered
Polaris1:
Will such pump run for 6 continuous hours 5days a week?
Does the fluctuating voltage that solar panels provide affects it's efficiency?
Thanks again.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by olopan(m): 6:00pm On Nov 12, 2021
Kindly provide pictures of your spec sheet

if a comparison is done between this and your Charge controller, it will need 18V - Vmp from your panels to drive itself or charge battery, - "potential difference"

Having 12V from your battery may not provide much power as expected while feeding it from panels directly will give you the needed results

A 450W - 600W I.e. 150W x 4 pcs will give you needed power at early morning, late evening and cloudy days, than when just using 150W x 2

Polaris1:
. Its 12v 180w.

Specs sheet said it can be run directly from solar panels without a controller and battery, although I might just add them to be safe.
I will appreciate all comments from users and dealers.

Okay, I do not know of this regarding growatt three operations

ojtech8291:
like phase balance that is when the three are connected in parallel they will work as a single 3phase with no effect on the individual Inverter.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by olopan(m): 8:22pm On Nov 05, 2021
Approximately 245k without the installer service charge
Note: Just inverter & Battery (L.A)

You can even thin down the cost more if you procure major accessories/equipment yourself I.e. if knowledgeable about R.E

toxicbrain:
What's the present cost of installing a 1kva inverter system.... I just need something to power my TV set and fan...that's all
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by olopan(m): 10:29am On Nov 05, 2021
What do you mean by " 3 phase shift" undecided
ojtech8291:
Can Glowatt Inverter do a better 3phase shift when connected. I need a good 3phase Inverter at 48V or 3 numbers of Inverter that work as 3phase when connected.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by olopan(m): 12:22am On Oct 30, 2021
@en0uwem

Sorry you still going through the hassle of your installation, though thought it was all solved with a recommendation you got earlier from a member here.

Here are some possible problems causing your system to not perform as expected.

1. Your panels - a recent run into your panel series bought by a client & from our field test it is shown to produce 77% at peak for short intervals of high sun intensity and operates averagely between 45%-55% or lower in normal to poor solar irradiance

Also your panels could have been placed at a wrong angle and unfavorable angle or they are placed that They don't harvest the sun well due to how the sun pass over them

2. Energy storage & energy going into it - From aforementioned, panel performance let's say your 4.2kWp operates @60% I.e. 2.52KWp for 4 sun hours equal 10KWh
From control test of your 7.5KWh felicity battery, tested by members here your 150Ah is (120Ah@48V) x 2 pieces = 11.5KWh of energy storage but because you run day time loads, assuming Let's say from 8am - 5pm equals to 4KWh of energy usage

Generated energy - energy used = remaining energy in storage

10KWh - 4KWh = 6KWh

Remaining energy / storage capacity = 6KWh / 11.5KWh

You have 52% of energy left in battery by sundown, from your previous posts you are mostly left with three bars of battery

3. Inverter - While kartel is a good product its transformer based build makes it a power hugger, draining your battery even when on idle power and even more to feed its internal components when running other loads as said by a member in previous posts, if you can try using a transformerless inverter like Growatt, Deye, Axpert with a year to two year warranty you can monitor in real time your energy usage and consumption keeping you ahead of the curve

Conclusion
You will need to spend a little more to upgrade and perfect your system with the right equipment and you should have rest from there on.

I can help you have a look at your installation remotely via DUO or Whatsapp, just get some basic handy tools like screw driver, a clear camera and a good network

Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by olopan(m): 12:19am On Oct 30, 2021
What configuration do you have presently and how many panels

stevebond007:
So how many panels required now? 2 or 3
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by olopan(m): 9:00pm On Oct 29, 2021
This would be a pretty hard task, you can handle the purchase professionally With agreed terms of return if the battery fails and test under extreme conditions under usage when installed to be sure it is still ok

numericalguy:
Pls how can I test it to be sure the single battery I'm buying is still alive.
Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by olopan(m): 9:12pm On Oct 28, 2021
Yes, by over sizing the panels by 150-160% of the max. PV input wattage

stevebond007:
Solar guys, I like to know if someone could make a 5.0KVA system but with lesser, more powerful number of solar panels?
