Statistics has shown that civilians are not being targeted. Ukraine has lost more military men than civilians.

In Iraq more civilians died compare to the military men.

Putin made a very big mistake. The almighty US will not engage in this kind of war. They learnt their lesson in Vietnam. Fighting a country that is getting arms from your enemy is a moving mountain. The US will only send it's troop in, if the enemy has been defeated before even firing a shot. Sanction the enemy economical to cripple it's ability to fund the war and place arms embargo to cripple it's ability to buy arms.

Imagine, the West are doing everything they can to cripple Russian ability to fund the war and at the same time giving arms to Ukraine to fight Russian troops. No country on earth can win this kind of war. It is a case of 100 anti-missile against a single Russian tank. Likewise the anti-air missiles. The West are pouring these weapon (anti-tank and anti-air) in thousands. Infact i expect the Russian troops to be retreating by now. I am surprise that they are not. The way Russia is conducting it's military operation in Ukraine is very unique. You can't win a major war if civilians are not targeted. Less than 2000 civilians have died so far. Russia has lost more than 5000. Mostly, military infrastructures are being targeted. The civilians structured targeted were being used by the Ukrainian military to carry out attack on Russian troop.

The US had to kill more than 300000 civilians in Iraq to bring them to submission. Although, it is a bad idea, but that is the best way to win a war. If you want to win a war quickly, use bombers.

Russia can bomb Kiev to submission in days with its bomber fleet. This is a fact.

Note: There are only three countries that has bombers.

Like i said i am following the event closely. Russia is not interested in the capital. Russian troops in the capital are there to tie down Ukrainian troops in Kiev. This is done so that the Ukrainian troops in east won't get re-enforcements.

Russia is interested in taken the whole of Donbas and some of the Key Ukrainian ports like Odesa and Mariupol. She wants to link those ports to Crimea and then Donbas.

The main Ukrainian force are in the east (Kherson, Odesa, Mariupol & Donbas. If Russia defeats them then de-militarisation is completed. Kherson & Mariupol have been taken. Donbas and may be Odesa will follow.

The demand for gas is on the increase.

The EU have decided to abandon cheap Russia gas for very expensive gas elsewhere. So there citizens will pay more.

The Chinese just like Germany are gradually moving away from using coal plant to generate for electricity, they have started building new gas plant. There is an existing gas pipeline from Russia to China. But the second one is being built.

This is just the beginning, other buyers will come on board. Gas is a necessity. As long as the world keep moving towards going green. More and more nation will replace their coal plants with gas plants. Demand for gas will increase and Russia will see new buyer/buyers.
