Nigeria is a zoo where it’s inhabitants continue to behave like animals. You would have expected that once wild cats have the been spotted, authorities should have been informed, and contingency plans put in place to tranquillise the animals so they can be captured and kept in zoos rather than wasted. Given that other wild cats are still lurking around, this should be the remedy. Sadly, however, clueless animals in government won’t act. Shameless lots.

No condition is permanent. My best mate, Jude was living with his parents in a rented accommodation when he got married to his heartthrob who comes from a middle class family - wife’s family had their own house (four flats, one occupied, 3 rented out). Jude just finished his masters and had no jobs. Following their marriage, intensified seeking PhD admissions abroad. Luck was on his side, he gained admission with full funding to UBC in Canada. He travelled out, his wife soon joined him. They now have 3 kids, all now hold Canadian citizenship and Jude is now an assistant professor at a University in the USA. I repeat, no condition is permanent. Walk by “faith” not by sight.

I understand the Roman Catholic theological underpining of using 'I' instead of 'we', but is it really necessary? What about those who have passed away? Biblically, Jesus said "Go ye into all the nations, baptising them in the bame if the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you." I know the RCC emphasizes, doctrine, scriptures and traditions, and these are ascribed equal status. Nonetheless, it's nonsensical to declare these baptisms invalid.

I couldn't read all previous comments, but this is clearly a case of statutory rape and paedophilia because a minor can't consent. Nonconsensual sex is nothing but rape. I'm surprised a Human Rights organisation, allegedly, is involved in negotiation with this paedophile. The man had admitted culpability, police and judiciary's job made easy already.

Corporal punishment is a violation of international human rights law. The video had been taken down by YouTube. The guy isn’t a trained and qualified teacher. In saner climes, the General Teaching Council will probe and dismiss him, and subsequently bar him indefinitely from teaching and working with children. Period. Nigeria has gone to the dogs. It’s now in the same league as Haiti, Afghanistan, Pakistan, etc. Shame.
