Arsene Wenger seem to be the most
embattled coach at the moment as
most Arsenal fans have turn against
the Frenchman.
Club legends like Gilberto Silva,
Thierry Henry, Ian Wright and other
prominent Arsenal football club
have pleaded Wenger to call quit at
the end of this season but the
Frenchman seems not to see what
they see, as he is considering a two-
year contract extension.
After the defeat of Arsenal football
club to the Bayern Munich side, it
will be unadvisable for Wenger to
sign any extension as most fans
want him to leave. Twitter boiled
yesternight as most Arsenal fans
tweeted the #WengerOut which
trended worldwide. cc Lalasticlala, Mynd source- www.trendsng.com/2017/03/world-wide-protest-against-arsene.html?m=1 |
A 23-year old man identified as
Kelvin Rafel Mejia went out with

his friends decided to play a game to
see who could drink the most
tequila in a single gulp.
The competition was spiced up with
a bet for $630 which Kelvin won as
he downed a whole bottle of
Tequila. Sadly, minutes later Kelvin
passed away without gaining
consciousness.
This should serve as a lesson to
other youths who like to go into

of all vehicles within the country

These might sound ridiculous, but there are countries where citizens are being begged to have sex by the Government. 1. Denmark. The Danes have such a low fertility rate (around 1.73 children per woman) that a national travel company has come up with a series of bribes to get women to have more kids. 2. Russia. According to Tech Insider, Russia is experiencing a shitstorm of anti-baby factors. HIV and alcoholism are rife, women aren’t having kids and men are dying young. It all got so bad that in 2007, the government declared 12 September the official Day of Conception. where people get the day off for making babies. Women who give birth exactly nine months later – on 12 June, win a fridge. 3. Japan. We know that Japan is experiencing something of a dry spell. A 2011 survey found that 61% of unmarried men and 49% of women aged 18-34 weren’t in any kind of romantic relationship. To try and get their young people creating families, scientists came up with Yotaro – a robot baby designed to give people a preview of parenthood. Students at the University of Tsukuba theorised that if young people could see themselves as potential mothers and fathers, they’d be more emotionally ready to settle down. 4. Romania During communist times, if you weren’t providing future state labourers by having kids, you had to pay instead. There was a 20% income tax for childless couples, and in the 1980s, women were forced to take gynaecological exams to ensure that all pregnancies went to term. Today, the fertility rate is still rock bottom. 5. Singapore Singapore has the lowest fertility rate in the world, with just 0.81 children per woman. They’ve also placed a limit on the number of small one beds available to rent to encourage cohabitation, and the government reportedly spends around $1.6 billion on various programmes to get people to have more sex.giphy In fact, the government offers cash to people who have more than one child. Parents receive a ‘baby bonus’ of around $4,400 (£2,545) for their first two kids and $5,900 (£3,413) for their third and fourth. 6. South Korea Offices turn off their lights at 7 pm on the third Wednesday of every month – AKA Family Day. Workers are encouraged to get themselves home so that they can enjoy some lights-out action. 7. India While the general population of India is thriving, their Parsis community is slowly dwindling. And that’s lead to a number of questionable ads encouraging people to ‘Be responsible – don’t use a condom tonight’. Other campaigns have shamed men living at home with lines like ‘Isn’t it time you broke up with your mum?’ Brutal but effective – there were just 61,000Parsis living in the country in 2001, and at the last census, there were 69,000. 8. Italy You wouldn’t think somewhere as passionate as Italy would have a sex drought, but their fertility rate is below the European average. So, the Italy has started running campaigns to remind Italians that time stands still for no (wo)man. Lines include: ‘Beauty knows no age, fertility does,’ and ‘Get going! Don’t wait for the stork’. 9. Hong Kong Inspired by Singapour, Hong Kong started giving out cash to couples to try and encourage them to have kids. Alas, the plan never quite took off. 10. Spain https://i1.wp.com/www.icloudupdate.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/Edelmira-Barreira.jpg?fit=800%2C690Minister for Sex appointed in Spain As employment rates are rising, fertility rates are dropping. Half of young people are out of work. And to combat the trend, the Spanish government have hired a special commissioner to try and reverse them. Former President Goodluck
Jonathan, has through his media
aide, Ikechukwu Eze, denied the
allegation of him rejecting the British
Government offer to rescue Chibok
girls.
Ikechukwu Eze said the lies in the
report are self evident.
He said "Our attention has been
drawn to a report that has been
trending, without proper attribution,
to the effect that the last
administration rebuffed British offer
to rescue the kidnapped Chibok
school girls.
We wish to promptly point out that
nothing can be further from the
truth, as Nigerians are conversant
with the effort made by the
Jonathan administration towards
rescuing the Chibok girls, especially
in relation to collaborating with the
international community.
We can confidently say that the lies
in this report are self evident. This is
because the international press as
well as the Nigerian media actively
covered the multinational efforts
and collaboration which involved
some of the major powers deploying
their crack intelligence officers to
work with our own security
operatives, and those of our
neighbours.”
He further added,
“In fact, the Jonathan administration
was so genuinely supportive that the
foreign powers involved were
granted permission to overfly our
airspace, while conducting the
search and rescue missions.
We would wish to recall that this
collaboration was made possible
following letters personally written
by former president Jonathan to
Barack Obama, former president of
the United States; Francois Hollande,
president of France; David Cameron,
former British prime minister, as well
as personal contacts made to the
Governments of Israel and China,
seeking their assistance in the search
for the abducted Chibok girls.
We are not surprised that this kind
of concocted story is coming out at
this point in time, as it appears that
some people who have obviously
been playing politics with the issue
of the Chibok girls will stop at
nothing to further their interest." cc Lalasticlala Source: www.trendsng.com/2017/03/goodluck-jonathan-denies-rejecting.html?m=1 |

The New Chief Justice of Nigeria,
Justice Onnoghen Walter, has
vowed that it would be difficult for
any person or group of people to
use the Judiciary as their own tool
of melting judgement. He also added that if Nigeria Judiciary was political , it will be very easy for it to be pocketed by an individual. Onnoghen stated he would not allow this. On the issue of delayed electoral and corrupt-free cases, Onnoghen said a panel has been set up and they are going to look into it all. Onnoghen said he will strengthen the Independence of the judiciary in order to increase the lost public confidence, particularly as the last hope of the common people. source: www.trendsng.com/2017/03/the-new-shape-of-judiciary-under.html?m=1 |
The Osun State Government have
come with ways to collect more tax
and one of it is to tax students in the
state. The Tax payment is not only
paid by students in Tertiary
Institutions but also comes down to
the ones in Primary school.
The state Government is taxing all
students even if the parents of the
wards pay tax to the Government,
students in Tertiary Institutions
coming from another State are also
taxed even if they come with proof
of their parent payment of tax from
other states they must pay tax. The
students tax is imposed on all
students in the state owned
Educational institutions be it Primary
, Secondary and Tertiary.
It was gathered from our source
that students in the state Tertiary
Institutions are to pay tax of N7,200,
which is to be renewed at
subsequent interval, pupils in
primary school are to pay N1,500
per child for tax after which they will
be issued a tax clearance.
Is this suppose to be so, are
students suppose to be charged on
direct tax? Are they working? If the
state is seeking ways to create funds,
it should not come from this angle. source: www.trendsng.com/2017/03/students-paying-tax-in-osun-state.html?m=1 |
The Federal Government through
the Minister Of Education, Mallam
Adamu Adamu, represented by the
Director of Tertiary Education, Hajiya
Fatima Ahmad had urged public
Institutions to seek alternative
funding due to the recession, he
also adviced institution to increase
the level Information
Communication Technology, as the
World had move from a normal
class to a Digital class.
He said, "Resource constraint is a
challenge we are facing. However,
the reality for now is the effective
and efficient management of all
resources available –human,
material or financial. I would also
want to urge you to come up with a
framework for funding tertiary
education to augment the statutory
sources which are not adequate.
This is critical because education, as
we all know, is a critical nexus in the
development process.
“With the present drive for global
comparability and harmonisation of
tertiary education qualifications, ICT
deployment is a must feature in our
educational institutions. The current
deployment is low and most
education officials lack ICT skills.
“There is also a shortage of ICT
personnel across the nation. Issues
of broadband and power outages
are constraining factors that
government is trying to address.
However, we must look out for
alternative support because
government cannot do it alone.”
The issue of alternative funding was
also stressed by the Senate
President who was represented by
the Chairman, Senate Committee on
Education and Tertiary Education
Trust Fund, Jibrin Bala, who pledged
the support of the Senate to making
laws to further assist the education
sector. source: www.trendsng.com/2017/03/federal-universities-should-seek.html?m=1 |
