Celebrities / John Fashanu Is Better Than My Ex-husband - Rachael Bakam by oluwdashmi(f): 8:02am On Sep 05, 2015
A popular Hausa actress, Rachael Bakam, who has found love in the heart of ex-football player, John Fashanu, says she’s a better woman in her new relationship than her failed marriage.

Rachael told Saturday Beats that she cares less about what Fashanu’s ex-wife, mother to ex-beauty queen, Abigail Fashanu, says in the print about John. All she knows is that she has been through a lot and Fashanu cares more and loves her.

She said, “We have the same bad experience. He is coming from a bad marriage and I am coming from one as well. He has told me all the details. With what we have been through, it is not something bad if you hook up with somebody who must have had the same experience as you. Maybe that is why it is working out so well for us.

“What we have is serious. We have to take it step by step. I am going through my divorce and he is doing same as well. But it is difficult to hide what we share. It is so difficult to even be apart for a minute. This is what I have been looking for all along. We are so similar. I know what he has been through and I know the whole story with his ex.

“He is a very caring man whose paramount interest is my happiness. This is different from what I have been used to. He gives me money, he supports me and he encourages my work. He tries to hype me all the time and I know he loves me deeply. This is different from what I used to have before.

Politics / Zahra Buhari Not Behind Twitter Comments – Presidency by oluwdashmi(f): 10:30pm On Jul 05, 2015
Following enquiries by a few foreign missions on the raging online controversy about unsavory comments against some foreign leaders purportedly made by her, we wish to state categorically that Zahra is indeed on Twitter but the offending handle @Zahra_Buhari has stopped being her own for a long time since it was compromised by hackers.

Tweets by this handle are therefore not her own and should be disregarded and considered as the work of hackers seeking to cause mischief between this country and other friendly states.

Zahra’s authentic handle is @ZmBuhari and any handle other than this on Twitter should be considered as fake and therefore fraudulent.

It also pertinent to state at this point that neither the wife of the President, Mrs. Aisha Buhari nor the other children are presently on Twitter, Facebook or the various other platforms.

As they the explore the possibilities on this new territory, we request the general public to ignore the many accounts on various platforms in their names that currently exist. Such accounts, beside the authentic one cited above in the name of Zahra are unauthorized and therefore fake.

Politics / Disregard Statement That I Beat My Wife – Suswam by oluwdashmi(f): 7:42pm On Jul 05, 2015
Former Governor of Benue State, Mr. Gabriel Suswam, has denied being arrested in London for allegedly beating his wife, Yemisi as rumoured days ago.

Suswam urged Nigerians to disregard such propagansam saying it is the handiwork of filthy politicians in the state, who were bent on tarnishing his hard earned reputation.

Suswam described the report as fictitious and denied ever going to London with his wife. He said he had been in Germany with his wife on vacation.

“But I make bold to ask: Is it possible for one to destroy what he has spent his hard earned fortune and reputation in governance to build? Was it not the same government house that both me and the incumbent Governor Samuel Ortom met for inspection and stock inventory taken and issues of concern raised and resolved before I left?,” he asked.

Religion / I Hate God, F..u..c..k Him - Nigerian Transgender, Stephanie Rose by oluwdashmi(f): 4:52am On Jul 02, 2015
Biologically born Dapo Adaralegbe, but turn Stephanie Rose as a Nigerian transgender, who resides in Netherlands, have blasphemed against God by calling him names and throwing insults at him.

Dapo turned Stephanie was a student of the Obafemi Awolowo University who was expelled in 2001 when he changes his identity between male and female consistently. He then moved to Holland where he changed to a woman.

On her facebook page recently, Stephanie wrote…

I HATE GOD, F..u..c..k Him….Such wicked and useless God can go Bleep himself and eat shit. GOD IS SHIT AND WICKEDNESS. That is not a good God but a very foolish and useless skydaddy! A God that destroys people’s lives and destroys their bright hopes in life is a very wicked Maggot!

A God that instigates violence, instigates humiliation, instigates rejection, instigates bloodshed and instigates the killing of people is a pervert and a very devilish idiot!

People do not understand the kind of God they claim they love. Jesus Christ is NOT a valid representation of this wicked occultist God. That is why prayers remain unanswered, that is why people die prematurely because such useless God is too wicked to care about lives, rather such hopeless God is concerned about the destruction of lives as he did to Sodom. I see God worshippers as shit worshippers!

For the Children of Sodom and Gomorrah would have done much better and prospered more exceedingly if the ” foolish God ” had given them the same fair opportunity in life.

A daft and senseless God that prevented their progress in life and instigated their destruction is the epitome of all evil and wickedness. Jesus Christ is not a valid example of such occultist God of this World. All religions are true! No body goes to Heaven because no body goes to Hell fire.

He destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, killed the progress of Sodom and killed the bright prospects of Gomorrah … instigating violence, instigating rejection, instigating humiliation, instigating hostilities, instigating bloodshed and the killing of gays and transgender people even till today!

All hate crimes and violence suffered by gay, lesbian and transgender people are instigated by this bleeped up slowpoke God even till today.

Nairaland / General / Awolowo Is Nigeria’s Best Politician Ever – Pete Edochie by oluwdashmi(f): 6:38pm On Jun 27, 2015
Veteran actor and one of the respected characters in the Nigerian movie industry, Pete Edochie, in a recent interview ranked late sage, Chief Obafemi Awolowo, the best politician ever in Nigeria.

Edochie, in his signature beard said Awolowo in his days used to tell what was wrong and how he would fix the issue in the country, which he said the present politicians fail to do.

When asked if he aspires to delve into politic like some entertainers have done, he said…

I don’t like politics. Politicians don’t speak the truth. Regrettably, there is no morality in politics. It doesn’t justify it. I want people to see me for who I am. If Pete Edochie says this thing is black, it’s black, there are no two ways to it. In the next ten years, he still tells you this is black. It gives me honour, it gives me integrity. But if tomorrow, I join politics and make a statement, people will begin to analyse it.

Whereas, in the movie industry today, I am the most respected actor. All the people who are part of the movies I feature in, respect me as their father. And it gives me a lot of honour and satisfaction because I see all of them as members of my family. So, I don’t like politics. Recently, a new administration came on board in Nigeria. A lot of people have been asking me about my expectations from the new government. And my answer is very simple, ‘Nothing.’

Buhari may stand out as an incorruptible creature. But what about the people under his administration? If Nigeria can be tinkered and rebuilt after Buhari’s image, we will have a wonderful country. But when you are so stuck in-graft, so stuck in corruption, it’s not always easy to get rid of these vices in a single day. I was following the progress of the now ruling party, APC, and I told a couple of my friends that this party has no ideology.

I kept wanting to hear from them, this is what we shall do and this is how we shall do it. I didn’t see or hear anything like that. The best politician this country has ever produced is Obafemi Awolowo. He may have been parochial but I love Awolowo for one thing. He would tell you I’m going to build this house, and this is what it will cost me to carry out the project. This is how I am going to raise the fund, and he went ahead and achieved it. No other politician has been able to beat the record in Nigeria.

Nairaland / General / Ogogoro Death Toll Hits 66 In Rivers by oluwdashmi(f): 1:30pm On Jun 10, 2015
The death toll of those who have died after consuming dog meat and the locally brewed gin popularly known as Ogogoro or kai-kai has increased to 66, across four local government areas of Rivers state. The local governments affected are Ahoada, Gokana, Bonny Island and Obio-Akpor.

In a related development, Dr Roland Obed Whyte, Director of Disease Control of Ministry of Health Rivers state, who gave latest update regretted that the number of deaths is spreading faster than anticipated because the brewers of local gin are now introducing, ethanol, methanol and formalin in brewing process which are very dangerous to the body.

Health officials of the Health Ministry have reiterated that in attempt to control the rate of the spread of death, the federal government banned the consumption of local gin popularly called Ogogoro in because it contains methanol, formalin and ethanol.

Dr Simeon Ibufubara Manuel of Public Health has expressed concern that the deaths from the poisonous gin are far higher than Ebola Virus yet people who are addicted to it are reluctant to give up the habit.
Politics / Don’t Ban Ogogoro, Gin Association Pleads by oluwdashmi(f): 4:27am On Jun 10, 2015
The Producers of Ogogoro under the umbrella of Raw Gin Producers Association of Nigeria, RGPAN, are pleading with the federal government not to ban the local drink, Ogogoro, despite its link to a rising casualty in Rivers and Ondo states in the country.

The Chairman of the association, Mr. Aritson Kroboakpo said in Lagos yesterday that native gin, whose production and consumption in Nigeria pre-dates independence and is not injurious to health, unless when adulterated.

Kroboakpo also told the federal government that faking of products, is not peculiar to ogogoro. He said the association is ready to work with the government to ensure that quacks in the local gin production are fished out and eliminated.

Celebrities / I Never Enjoyed My Marriage For A Day – Comedian Mandy by oluwdashmi(f): 8:25am On Jun 06, 2015
In a recent interview, Nigerian female comedian, Mandy Uzonicha, talks about her life, marriage, divorce, and life as a single mother.

Mandy who was married for only 3 months said she never enjoyed her marriage for once and she’s not planning to go into another marriage soon.

Talking about April, your daughter, when are you going to give her a ‘daddy’?
Chei! I believe you are a Christian and the Bible said something about sharing. I wouldn’t mind if you share your husband with me. But I know you wouldn’t want to do it. Many Nigerian women are so wicked. They can never share. But they would be the ones saying I don’t have a husband. If there can be a brave one that would just tell me to come and take her husband, I would just go. But seriously, I had a terrible experience in marriage, that is why I don’t want to go back to it. I didn’t enjoy it at all, not even for one day.

Are you for real?
Oh, maybe I enjoyed the traditional marriage day. After that, it wasn’t it again for me. I think that is why I am not in a hurry to get into marriage again. I would love to go into it. But then, I will not deceive you, my whole concentration is on my daughter.

Don’t you get lonely?
I have a fantastic friend, Yinka Davies. She is my closest friend. We hang out together all the time.

But Yinka is not always there; don’t you get so lonely in your bed?
I don’t feel lonely. Strangely, there are so many things I am thinking about. Maybe if I had a boyfriend or man friend that I would be worried about, then I would worry. I don’t think about it, it is not in my mind. Maybe I should start thinking of a man. I see so many men with huge six packs.

But is it a big deal sleeping with your partner if you are in a relationship?
Some people might do it for money while others might do it for other reasons. I will not sleep with a man for money. God has blessed me. There are certain things I will not compromise any more. It is not because I am being proud. But I just want to be decent and respect myself and my daughter. I get so many toasters. Some want me to be their sugar mummy. Some are already married.

Politics / Soyinka Says Jonathan Does Not Deserve Another Vote by oluwdashmi(f): 1:43am On Feb 06, 2015
Nobel laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka, said President Jonathan does not deserve a re-election by Nigerians. He said he had 60 reasons why Jonathan should not be re-elected come February 14.

Though, he did not enlist the 60 reasons, he hammered on the April 14 abduction of over 200 schoolgirls by Boko Haram insurgents from their hostel in Chibok, Borno State.

Speaking at a gathering of youths at a programme titled ‘Vision of the Child’ in Lagos on Thursday, Soyinka said “I will not vote and I will not encourage anyone to vote for the continuation of this government, simply because your colleagues numbering over 200 were kidnapped.”

He said it was, therefore, outrageous for anyone to say he was supporting the re-election of Jonathan. “It took the Jonathan government 10 days to even accept that the Chibok girls were missing. After that dereliction of duty; after that failure of leadership, after that betrayal of our future, for anyone to think or to put words in my mouth suggesting that I will vote or encourage anyone to vote for this regime is a travesty of intelligence.”

Speaking on the theme, “The Road to Sambisa”, the literary icon stressed Jonathan had not only betrayed children, he had failed as a leader. And warned members of the public not to believe every story written about him on the social media on his purported death.

“There has been a failure of leadership. Our children whom you represent today have been betrayed,” he said.

He urged the President not to take likely, allegations by Australian hostage negotiator, Stephen Davis, that there was a group within the Central Bank of Nigeria sponsoring Boko Haram.

The Nobel laureate noted that he personally knew Davis because they both worked together during the Niger Delta militancy crisis.

Politics / Edwin Clark, Others Demand Jega’s Resignation, Poll Shift by oluwdashmi(f): 1:16am On Feb 06, 2015
The Southern Nigeria Peoples Assembly, led by a one-time information minister, Chief Edwin Clark, and some others, have called for an immediate resignation of the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Attahiru Jega, as well as a poll shift.

Chief Edwin Clark made the call at a press briefing in Abuja yesterday. The meeting was attended by some leaders which includes a former Minister of Information, Walter Ofonagoro; a former Governor of Anambra State, Dr. Chuwuemeka Ezeife; a former Commissioner in Bayelsa State, Chief Whisky Ayakeme; Dr. Cairo Ojugboh and Senator Femi Okunronmu.

Clark and his supporters said they call for Jega’s resignation because he has began conniving with the Northern Elders’ Forum to rig the election and create more polling units to favour the North than the South.

Okurounmu, who read the prepared speech by the President’s supporters, said that NEF distributed 150 units of laptop computers to INEC for each of the northern states.

He said the laptops were used by the commission’s ad hoc staff in collaboration with northern youth activists during the Continuous Voter Registration.

He said, “This is the reason why Lagos State with a sophisticated voter population of over 5.2million has not distributed more than 2.5million PVCs; even the war ravaged states in the North-East have collected more PVCs than most southern states.

“Is this kind of selective treatment borne out of sheer nepotism and primordial bias deserving of a supposed impartial electoral umpire?

“Jega should and must resign his appointment immediately as the chairman of INEC because he has lost the requisite moral rectitude to organise a credible election devoid of shenanigans of the northern elders forum and their cohorts.

“There should be immediate postponement of the February 14, 2015 presidential elections to allow for the reconstruction, repositioning and reprocessing of INEC to discharge its responsibility of conducting an impartial election.

“We call for the immediate arrest of Jega for criminals masterminding the procurement of PVCs for under-aged pupils in contravention of the provisions of the 1999 Constitution.”

Politics / UK The Economist Magazine Endorse Buhari Over Jonathan by oluwdashmi(f): 12:22am On Feb 06, 2015
Widely respected and influential United Kingdom-based magazine, The Economist, has given the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, its backing and endorsement against President Goodluck Jonathan of the Peoples Democratic Party.

The magazine published and titled its current editorial , ‘Former dictator is a better choice than a failed president’ and stated that Jonathan has been a huge failure and his party has mismanaged the economy of the country since it took over in 1999, Punch reports.

It said the reason Nigeria’s economy is one of the fastest in Africa is not because of good leadership but due to the will of the people.

The magazine recalled that when over 1,000 people were killed during an attack, rather than condole with his people, Jonathan preferred to condole with the people of France over the Charlie Hedbo attack during which terrorists killed 12 journalists last month.

The magazine, “Start with Mr. Jonathan, whose party has run the country since 1999 and who stumbled into the Presidency on the death of his predecessor in 2010, the PDP’s reign has been a sorry one. Mr. Jonathan has shown little willingness to tackle endemic corruption. When the governor of the central bank reported that $20bn had been stolen, his reward was to be sacked.

“He has shown little enthusiasm for tackling insecurity, and even less competence. Quick to offer condolences to France after the attack on Charlie Hedbo, Mr. Jonathan waited almost 2 weeks before speaking up about a Boko Haram attack that killed hundreds, perhaps thousands, of his compatriots.

“The single bright spot of his rule has been Nigeria’s economy, one of the world’s fastest-growing. Yet that is largely despite the government rather than because of it, and falling oil prices will temper the boom. The prosperity has not been broadly shared: under Mr. Jonathan poverty has increased. Nigerians typically die eight years younger than their poorer neighbours in nearby Ghana.”

The magazine further stated that Buhari as an incorruptible and honest leader but maintained that the former military head of state had “blood on his hands.”

It, however, said the fact that Buhari had been participating in elections since 2003 was evidence that he had now embraced democracy.

It added, “Buhari is a sandal-wearing ascetic with a record of fighting corruption. Few nowadays question his commitment to democracy or expect him to turn autocratic: he has repeatedly stood for election and accepted the outcome when he lost. He would probably do a better job of running the country, and in particular of tackling Boko Haram. As a northerner and Muslim, he will have greater legitimacy among villagers whose help he will need to isolate the insurgents. As a military man, he is more likely to win the respect of a demoralised army.

“We are relieved not to have a vote in this election. But were we offered one we would-with a heavy heart-choose Buhari. Jonathan risks presiding over Nigeria’s bloody fragmentation. If Buhari can save Nigeria, history might even be kind to him.”

Politics / Over N30tn Stolen Under Okonjo-iweala – Soludo by oluwdashmi(f): 12:17am On Feb 02, 2015
Former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, yesterday alleged that over N30 trillion had been stolen under the watch of the Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala.

Soludo, in a 10 page article had condemned the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan, saying the economy had been grossly mismanaged and the Nigeria would face a difficult one this year.

His article didn’t go well with them as Federal Government described Soludo’s era as a disaster to the banking sector, while Okonjo-Iweala called him an “embittered loser in the Nigerian political space.”

In response to them all, Soludo, in another article titled ‘Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and the missing trillions’ said his initial article was necessary because the 2015 election campaigns were being conducted in a manner that shows all is well with the economy.

He said the exchange rate of naira to dollar from 158 to 215 within a short period is an indication of chaos in the system.

Soludo said “For the sake of Nigeria, I won’t keep quiet anymore! Part of my frustration is that five years after, everything I warned about has come to happen and we are conducting our campaigns as if we are not in a crisis. As a concerned Nigerian, I have a duty to speak out again.

“Under you as the Minister of Finance and coordinator of the economy, the basket of our national treasury is leaking profusely from all sides. Just a few illustrations! First, you admit that ‘oil theft’ has reduced oil output from the average 2.3 – 2.4 million barrels per day to 1.95 mpd (meaning that at least 350,000 to 450,000 barrels per day are being ‘stolen’). On the average of 400,000 per day and the oil prices over the past four years, it comes to about $60bn ‘stolen’ in just four years.

“In today’s exchange rate, that is about N12.6tn. This is at a time of cessation of crisis in the Niger Delta and the amnesty programme. Can you tell Nigerians how much the amnesty programme costs, and also the annual cost for ‘protecting’ the pipelines and security of oil wells? And the ‘thieves’ are spirits?

“Second, my earlier article stated that the minimum forex reserves should have been at least $90bn by now and you did not challenge it. Rather, it is about $30bn, meaning that gross mismanagement has denied the country some $60bn or another N12.6tn. Now, add the ‘missing’ $20bn from the NNPC. You promised a forensic audit report ‘soon’, and more than a year later, the report itself is still ‘missing’. This is over N4tn, and we don’t know how much more has ‘missed’ since Sanusi cried out.

“How many trillions of naira were paid for oil subsidy (unappropriated?). How many trillions (in actual fact) have been ‘lost’ through customs duty waivers over the last four years? As coordinator of the economy, can you tell Nigerians why the price of Automotive Gas Oil, popularly called diesel, has still not come down despite the crash in global crude oil prices, and how much is being appropriated by friends in the process?

“Be honest: Do you really know (as coordinator and minister of finance) how many trillions of naira self- financing government agencies earn and spend? I have a long list but let me wait for now. I do not want to talk about other ‘black pots’ that impinge on national security.”

Soludo added, “My estimate, Madam, is that probably more than N30tn has either been stolen, or lost, or unaccounted for, or simply mismanaged under your watchful eyes in the past four years. Since you claimed to be in charge, Nigerians are right to ask you to account. Think about what this amount could mean for the 112 million poor Nigerians, or for our schools, hospitals, roads, etc.

“Soon, you will start asking the citizens to pay this or that tax, while some faceless ‘thieves’ are pocketing over $40m per day from oil alone.”

The former CBN governor also maintained that the banking sector consolidation exercise that he supervised was a huge success contrary to Okonjo-Iweala’s assertion that it failed woefully.

“For the first time in Nigeria’s history, a policy of that magnitude was announced and the deadline kept with precision. We were courageous to revoke the licences of 14 banks, including those of my friends, in one day. The FT-Banker concluded that the scale, precision and cost of the transformation were unprecedented in the world. Before then, Malaysia had the least cost of banking consolidation at five per cent of the Malaysian GDP.

“It did not cost Nigerian taxpayers one penny. Twenty-five new and stronger banks emerged, but the powerful idea behind the consolidation ignited something even more powerful – the race to the top. Banks raised more capital, and even banks like First Bank, Zenith, GTB, etc. that did not merge with others went on capital raising several times. The consequence was higher levels of capitalisation and within two years, 14 Nigerian banks were in the top 1,000 banks in the world and two in the top 300 (no Nigerian bank was in the top 1,000 before I came).

“Even after I left office, still nine banks were in the top 1,000. Our vision was to have a Nigerian bank in the top 100 banks within 10 years. As I see the new Access Bank, Zenith, GTB, Fidelity, Diamond, UBA, FBN, FCMB, Skye, Stanbic IBTC, Union, Ecobank, etc., I cannot but feel that we have taken giant steps forward.

“Deposits and credit soared (from barely N1.2tn to over N7tn); new technologies (ATM and e-banking) boomed, and banks had 57,000 new jobs; mega businesses emerged (ask any major operator in the Nigerian economy their experience with banking and credit before and after Soludo; – the Dangotes, Arik, MM2, oil and gas operators etc.); capital market boomed and dominated by the banking sector.

“It was a new dawn for the Nigerian private sector. I have heard Dangote twice say that he would not be near as big as he is today without the banking consolidation. Many other stakeholders still say it today. FDI and portfolio inflows flooded into Nigeria. The world celebrated, and one single transformative idea has changed the face of the private sector and the economy forever. Banks became Nigeria’s first transnational corporations, with about 37 branches outside of Nigeria.”

Celebrities / Moji Olaiya Reveals Reason For Quitting Marriage by oluwdashmi(f): 2:09pm On Jan 03, 2015
In an interview, Moji Olaiya revealed some part of her personal life. She talked about her relationship with Pa Victor Olaiya, her fashion must-do and why she quit her marriage.

She also reiterated her reason for converting to Islam even though she was born a Christian.
What was the cause of your failed marriage?
The marriage was not working so I had to quit. My partner went as far as abusing me so I had to leave to protect myself and my daughter.

You mean domestic violence?
Yes, domestic violence is just the right word.

Any man in the picture at present?
I am in a relationship but I am yet to be legally separated from my husband.

Were you legally married?
Yes. So at the right time I will reveal who the man is. I need somebody beside me.
How have you been coping after separation from your husband?
A woman needs a man in her life. There are things a man would do that you cannot do as a woman but I have no regret leaving my marriage.

Why did you say you have no regrets?
I have no regret leaving my marriage but I regret not being under a man’s roof. It is not respectable in this part of the world. But I try to comport myself even as a divorced woman and as a typical Yoruba woman and to avoid scandal. I have a daughter to protect and cater for.

Politics / Buhari Joins Twitter, Check Out His Official Handle by oluwdashmi(f): 9:17pm On Dec 22, 2014
The Presidential candidate of the APC for the 2015 election, General Muhammadu Buhari, has joined the league of political leaders with a twitter handle.

Before now, there has been several twitter handles in Buhari’s name but none of them were actually been run by him. They were merely used by supporters and fans to spread the better image of the former Head of States.

Having come to the realization of the power in social media, Gen, Buhari signed up for an official twitter handle with which he has begin to communicate with his fans across the world.

Few hours after he shared his first tweet, he already boasts of over 15000 followers with only 6 tweets.

Nairaland / General / See How 22-year Ifeoma Kills Man Who Tried To Rape Her by oluwdashmi(f): 7:46am On Oct 30, 2014
This is a case of bravery as 22-year old Ifeoma Ikechukwu killed a man who tried to rape her at the Alpha Beach Road, Lekki, on Monday.

She narrates how she went to get a sanitary pad and was suddenly accosted by a stranger. But she hit him with a stick as he was trying to wear a condom.

“After buying the sanitary pads, I was going back home when I saw a man, who should be in his forties, standing at a corner. He approached me and ordered me to take him to my house. He put his hand into his pocket as if he wanted to bring out a weapon. He said he would kill me if I shouted.

“When we got to the house, he said I should shut the door and I did. He said I should remove my clothes; and I started begging him, but he refused to listen. So I told him to let me get to the kitchen because I was cooking something and I would be back. I got a rod and hid it in my wrapper. I went back and moved slowly towards him, still begging, but he refused.

“He was taking off his clothes and wearing a condom when I used the rod to hit him in the head. I started screaming. And then I picked the phone and called my uncle.”

When her uncle was interrogated, he said, “I was not at home when the incident happened and her younger brother had also gone out. So, she was alone in the house and it was possible he had been monitoring her movement. When she called me and said what had happened, I left the office and went to the police station in Jakande Estate where I reported the matter.”

A police source said the deceased was found with a phone without a sim card. He also said, “He was about wearing the condom when the girl hit him on the head and he died. His mission was to rape her and steal from the house. He probably took advantage of her frail stature.

“We have got information that he was not alone. He belonged to a gang that has been terrorising Lekki residents for some time now. And that’s why since this incident, nobody knows his name and address, and none of his relatives has come forward to say they know him.”

Meabwhile, Ifeoma has been detained in the police custody while no one has come to claim the corpse of the deceased.

Celebrities / Ini Edo: See The Letter Phillip Ehiagwina’s Ex-wife Wrote Her In 2007 by oluwdashmi(f): 9:48am On Oct 06, 2014
So she was warned. Below is a letter Phillip Ehiagwina’s ex-wife wrote to Ini Edo in 2007. She warned Ini Edo not to marry Phillip, so she won’t regret it.

See the letter Ruth Okoro wrote below…

Hi Ini, I have information that you are having an affair with my husband, Philip Ehiagwina. He has been deceiving girls all over the place, making them believe he has heaven and earth. You are not the only girl obviously, but Ini watch your back so you
don’t regret, I have nothing against you but a piece of advice.

I heard that you might be pregnant for him, if it’s true, good luck. I called your manager and told her everything. You are a very pretty girl and should know how to respect your body and pray for the right husband. Do not be carried away by flashy things cause that could be deadly too. All that glitters isn’t gold, remember.” She wrote.

In a recent interview, singer turned politician, Abolore Akande, aka 9ice opens up on his new baby mama and new child. He said he is at peace now. 9ice said he prefers to drink Garri and be at peace than eat Salad and b troubled.

“I have my peace of mind. Ti n ba mu gari ni si yi, gaari yen moju mi dan, ti nba so fun yin pe garri ni mo mu, mo wa okay, afi tin ba bi abi tin ba po ni everybody ma mo pe garri ni bobo yii mu. (If I drink Garri now, I am at peace with myself and the Garri will make me look healty. If I don’t tell you that I drank Garri, you wouldn’t know except I vomit and you see my vomit)

“But kin je salad constantly, tin baa ru ke’egun , ee ti mope aah, bobo yi o gbadun life e, e woo bo se ru. Beeni, te ba ti ri, ee ti mope aah, bobo yii o wa ok; pelu gbogbo owo to ni. So, emi gigun, Alafia ati ifokan bale ni eyan le fi lo ile aiye, kii se oye owo ta’a kojo. Owo ta’a ma ni, tao ni ni ifokanbale, Olorun maje ka’a ni. (Look at the way our politicians are amassing wealth yet they are not at peace even with their health. The money we will have that we will not be at peace with ourselves, may God never give us).

When asked about his new Baby, 9ice said…

“Let me just tell you this and I pray it will be reported the way I said it to you. It is true that I have a child; it is true that I am with someone named Olasunkanmi Ajala and she is the mother of the child. That is the truth of the story; and if you check my instagram page, you will see my daughter Michelle there.

She is there, her name is Michelle Abolanle Akande and she is there. So, it is not something you can hide for long. How can you hide a good news like having a child, it is one of the information you can never hide under the sun; it is a joyful thing.

naijaspeak: This story reminds me of the present king in Agbor, Delta state who was crowned Obi of Agbor at a much younger age of 2. His father died when he was just a baby in his mother arm. But this news of the newly crowned Obi of Issele Uku is better because at 20 years he is an adult man that is old enough to marry a wife.

He should conclude his University Education by transfering to foreign university abroad. It is good for our king of nowadays to be highlly educated for them to provided the need counselling and guidance to their people.

I wish him a successful reign.

I smile at the memory of the boldened.
Wish him the best.

Politics / Re: LASU Fees,Ebola : Fashola Seeks permission To Re - Order Budget by oluwdashmi(f): 5:32pm On Aug 13, 2014
oduastates: A total disaster just because of dumb and shortsighted followership.
I was hoping Fashola's policy would be the beginning of the needed revolution in tertiary education.
A philipino nurse walks right from a Manila hospital straight into a British hospital while the Nigerian nurse would either have to take a 3 yrs degree or a bridging course.
A South African teacher also has the same advantage while our Phd would have to undergo retraining.
What is the use of half baked graduates who end up doing clerical work in the banking /telecoms industry ,the job of a technician in the oil industry and non- jobs in the civil service ?Money is being pulled from other sectors in order to satisfy the short-sightedness of a small section of the society.
Nigeria makes a mockery of university education.
The crooked and socially useless lecturers need that high population of half baked for their handout businesses to prosper.
The people I respected the most were those students who ran business to pay their way through school.the barber, hair dresser, kabu kabu, photocopier ,photographer etc.
Those people are actually the only ones who know the true value and cost of education just like all those western nations. .
I just hope the next governor of Lagos state will go in and jack up the standards. From entry requirements ,graduation requirements to the outright banning of the sale of handouts.
Also ,getting foreigners to set and mark examination will be a good idea.
You can be sure of thing, ;he student population will reduce drastically.
That way,you will get only those who belong within the four walls of a university .
Full scholarships for indigens and bright disadvantaged students only.

Well said.

We are yet to recover from the 21 years boy who killed his father and another one is here.
Honestly, I haven't stopped asking myself 'what is going on?' He did this and went back to business as usual without remorse?
