Your gf is ready to go for the other guy but wants to use your financial capability to threaten you knowing fully that you can't afford it for now. If you say yes, she will still find another excuse, she could ask you to choose a specific date and can even threaten you that the date must come b4 the other guys date. Let her leave and learn her lesson in a hard way, allow her to know that not all that glitters is gold. And focus on your job and career. |

Religion / Re: What Is Destiny? Do You Believe In It? by oluwdashmi(f): 11:25am On Feb 19, 2009 |
What is DESTINY? what do you understand by it?. From my understanding, Destiny is the divine appointment of God for man and it can also be defined as fulfilment. But the fact that destiny is the plan of God for man does not mean it will come to pass just like that, cos DESTINY is FLEXIBLE, you can choose to change it. The FLEXIBILITY aspect of it may be that you didn't discover yourself early enough, evil manipulation in ones life or For instance, if a person is destined to be a fashion designer, but he planned his life to be a lawyer, he may/may not make it as a lawyer and will never be fulfilled for the wrong choice until he discovers himself (the purpose of God for him). A man destined to be a banker but finds himself as a conductor will never be fulfilled as a result of the above mentioned reasons. I know a woman who was well paid as a banker but resigned cos she was not fulfilled, she went back to school to study mass comm and today she is fulfilled as a Journalist even though the pay she receives is peanut compared to her first career and many other examples out there. So, you can't afford to fold your hands and make it happen NO!! You have to discover yourself, ask yourself what you like doing that keeps you going even when awake in the middle of the night? What can you do and be happy even when you receive no pay for it (your source of income may come from some other things)? Hope you are not doing it cos your friend is making money from it? Have you sought God's consent about it? |
Religion / Re: Perms And Curls by oluwdashmi(f): 10:33am On Feb 19, 2009 |
For all those who say God looks at the heart, remember that your outward is a reflection of your inside. For 'out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh'. Before you wore the cloth you are wearing right now, you have decided that you want to wear it and have worn it in your heart and it reflected on your body. Before you started replying on this topic, your heart had already replied and you manifested it by typing. Before a lady wears a crazy wear, she had decided she wants to wear it to attract and causeand she achieves it. If all the time God looks at the heart then indecent dressing and fornication will not be a sin cos it is done with the body after your spirit requests for it. Definitely, God will judge by your heart, an authomatic reflection of your body. |
Religion / Re: Should A Christian Pray Back To Sender Prayer? by oluwdashmi(f): 10:10am On Feb 19, 2009 |
Considering the redemtpion benefits, God desires is that all (Sinners) repents and become christians, when we pray for our enemies, are are saying Father "you know how best to handle this situation" take control, but when we pray against our enemies we are taking revenge. In Rom 12 vs19 - 20 says Vegence belongs to God and not us, if we revenge ourself, Godwill no longer revenge on our behalf, once we participate in the battle God withdraws and allows us to fight our battles, Christ says we should lobe our enemies, bless and be nice to our enemies Matt 5 Vs 43 - 45. @ poster There is nothing bad in a back to sender prayer as long as you do not mention his/her name or have the prayer in mind towards a particular person. The bible is complete, there is nothing you won't find in it cos the same bible says, suffer no witch to live. It also said, no weapon fashioned against me shall prosper. Another one, tell the wicked that he shall eat the fruit of his labour, and many more. When talking about repentance, be rest assured that only sinners repent, demons don't. It is not every man/woman that lives next to you, go to the same church together, meet on your way, that are human beings. Some are demon reincarnate and are on assignment and no matter how you pray, DEMONS don't repent. If you choose to pray for your enemies and accept the arrows fashioned towards you, no problem (none of the option is a sin), but remember that after the enemy has succeeded over you, God will not be blaimed. 2 Likes |
Religion / Re: Stop & Think: Did God Create Any Religion? by oluwdashmi(f): 9:27am On Feb 19, 2009 |
Hi Kola, No, God did not create any religion and will not judge by any, but the Christian religion started after Jesus had departed into heaven and his disciples took up the gospel work. They were first called CHRISTIANS in Acts 11: 26. That means 'the Christs like' cos they did and acted like Jesus Christ. Jesus also said in John 14:6 that 'I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the father except true me'. This is one reason Christians go to God through Jesus. The more question you ask about religion, the more confused you will be, so I advise that you just maintain your faith and do your best to serve and fear God, love your neighbour, help the needy and let moderation reflect in your everyday life. Shalom. |

Religion / Re: Fornication And Gay Sex Which One Is Ok. by oluwdashmi(f): 4:12pm On Feb 18, 2009 |
In a world where guys/men feel proud of the number of sex they had; where ladies/women are no more ashame to expose their bodies to the world;where being a virgin brings insult to you;where decent dressing are look down on while indecent dressing are welcomed with a thunderous applause, My question is this:- @chrishenzo The arithmetic of God says 'fail in one subject, fail in all'. There is nothing like big or small sin. e.g lieing has the same purnishment with murdering etc. Gay and Lesbinianism are also sins cos it includes the release of orgasm between same sex. Sex is supposed to be btw the opposite sex gender, if not God wouldn't have created Eve for Adam. Also, the bible says a man shall leave his father and mother and shall cleave to his wife not his friend of the same sex. Sex is only a sin when it is performed outside wedlock agreement. You can't reffer sex as a sin generally cos we procreate through it. I hope I have answered your questions. Stay blessed |

Good question, @ banom This is when the patient welcomes the doctor. In a case whereby a patient does not believe in a medical/scientific power, the doctor will not be allowed to perform even if he has a cure to the patient's ailment. And if the doctor performs by force, the patient will always refer his solution to his belief not that of the doctor. No argument is needed . I hope you have read all the posts I directed to you from the beginning of page 4, read, digest and take step about them. In one of your posts you said, you said no one has answered your question but I tell you that you have ignored all your ans and of course you don't need any more, cos answers and directions are meant for those who are confused and ready to listen not to the ignorant who asks and argues. |

When Jesus was on earth, he was going about doing good, then what stops these pastors from going about doing good ? Pastor Adeboye shouldn't have just prophesied to Yaradua about his health, he should have prayed for him, hello banom: 1. you haven't answered my questions, instead you quoted. 2. from the first paragraph, Jesus was doing good during anywhere he went. Ok, the only good thing you want to hear now is that Yara'dua has been prayed for abi? (not that you yourself have been healed of your confusion and ignorance) Go on your kneels and pray for him afterall you have the same brain, mouth, divine right, connection and human nature like all the pastors and there is a Yoruba adage that says "a man sees a snake but a woman kills it, what matters most is that the snake is killed." If you say all the miracles they perform do not have third parties, I will appoint you to move from one revival to the other, special prog to the other (forget about your prob, purpose of existence, family and job) and be the third party or challenge the miracles. Secondly, you don't know the meaning of miracles, miracles are things that happen beyond human imaginations. The moment you have an ans to a miracle, then it is no miracle but an expectation. I am not a miracle freak anyway but I don't judge them cos I believe nothing is impossible. If a herbalist can cure a disease or prob with ordinary incantations, then my God, the creator of the herbalists and his incantation can do mysteries cos he himself is a MYSTERY . |

I AM BEGINING TO GET SOME THINGS VERY CLEARED NOW, ALL THE SO CALLED MEN OF GOD IN NIGERIA CLAIME THEY DO MIRACLES, THEY HEAL THE BLIND, SICK, CRIPPLE, DEAF AND DUMP, THEY PROPHESY WHAT WILL AND WILL NOT HAPPEN, THEY TELL TOMORROW, ONE OF THEM EVEN RECENTLY BOSTED OF PROPHECYING OBAMABS VICTORY, @ poster: My ans goes thus: Did the president tell you he believes in miracles? Does he believe in the same God or religion as the pastors'? Without that, miracles can't work! Has he told you he will die in office or even immediately after his presidential assignment? What if he believes in medical/physical power more than the spiritual? Yes, he is not a christian and it is the same GOD. But that is not the issue but his faith matters most. Your miracle is backed by your faith. Believing in miracles or not does not stop miracles from happening, it is you who need a changed situation not God. Neither does believing in God stops God from being who he is, he remains the same. Our God is not a God of FORCE, he is a God of CHOICE. Stay blessed. For all those who think pastors should go to beggers and heal them: Do you go to the hospital when you are sick or the doctor comes running after you or does your employer comes knocking at your door or you go seeking for the job? |

If she dies, the woman will eventually run away cos the other policeman will be confused whether to save his colleague's life or run after the woman. But I know that after the incident, the police will transfer the aggression to any driver that they can lay their hands on . |
Politics / Re: Shame On Nigerian Police - All Because Of 50 Naira Bribe They Want To Die by oluwdashmi(f): 9:10am On Feb 06, 2009 |
Although funny. The person who took the picture did as if he/she was expecting it. Really perfect. I am not judging in the case of the Nigerian Police or we Nigerians but with what I can decode in the picture. If you look at the picture very well, you will see that the policewoman was trying to catch the plate number of the car. Which means the woman driving must have committed an offence and tried to run away. If not the driver wouldn't have done that. But in the same vein, the policewoman shouldn't have opted to the front cos if she loose her life, nothing happens |
Culture / Re: Not Being To Lagos, a 'bush person'? by oluwdashmi(f): 2:39pm On Jan 28, 2009 |
@poster Lagos is been mentioned every where cos the city is all about the Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Life in Lagos can be interesting atimes, can be boring, can be too demanding, can be so clean and lovely, can be stinky, can be annoying, If you can live and in Lagos, then, there is no part of the world that you find yourself that will be strange to you cos Lagos would have prepared you for the city no matter how it looks like and how life may be there. Talk about the way we rush bus--even when an empty bus arrives at a bus stop and finds 3 pple, we will rush to push ourselves apart . Talk about the way we queue for BRT and few buses --which you will find in some countries. Talk about how pple earn their living, where they sleep and still smile in the morning . Talk about how traffic is already on the third mainland bridge at 5:30 am (we wake at 4/4:30 to go to work). What about the civilised way of snaching bags, picking pocket etc. How about the way we walk (as if someone is pursuing you). What can't we say about this city!! Infact, words can't explain except with experience. Indeed, Lagos is Lagos. Nothing more |
