eyinjuege: Mr man, what are you talking about? It's unfortunate that the divorced women you know brainwash their children against their fathers. But know this, a child always knows a responsible father. One who always comes to visit them, provides their basic needs such as buying clothes, bringing provisions etc for them, taking them out when they were younger, and paying their school fees. Children need love and basic things like food, clothes, shelter, education to survive . Any parent that refuses to provide these for any flimsy reason (as a divorce from their spouse) is deadbeat. This includes women who abandon their kids. Children who are told bad things about their fathers but see the man showing them love, and providing for them always grow up to hate their mothers, and would rather associate with their dads when they are grown. It's the law of nature. You reap what you sow.
Everyone wants and needs a father and mother in their lives, but if a father/mother has decided not to be a positive part of a child's life, life still has to go on.
No one knows the true story behind Stella Oduah and this man.
It sounds too hard to believe though that no one remembered to inform the father of the son's death. That was irresponsible on the part of her family.
The father says he heard on social media about the death of his son, why couldn't he also send his people and his younger ones to the Oduah's place? If not for anything, but to confirm if it's a true story? He should have done that and his people discussed with those who have been raising the boy till he became a man on the burial arrangements and where they would like him buried. If the boy has truly been buried, I don't see any point exhuming his body. It's kinda disrespectful to the corpse. yea BT look at it this way, do u know if there was any restrictions against the man's visit, do u know if he and his son had spoken and the boy may or may not have asked about why he doesn't come around as he should, and the man quietly wave it aside in other not to cause friction BTW the boy and his mom. all these are all assumption. bt no matter what the man is traditional married to the lady and during the course of that marriage she bore him a son. tradition is tradition. she Stella made this stuff a mess by not revealing the death of the boy to his father.the father is the head weather home or away. |

Businessideas: That's what you are getting wrong. Fatherhood comes with responsibilities,if you don't live up to it, you are just a sperm donor .That man will hear am, infact, the demands that would be made from him as atonement before the corpse is given to him, will force him to beat a retreat. He never knew that this day would come. Some men and even some women too don't know where to draw the line when they have bitter separation from their spouses. This would teach them sense. The joke is on him. From what I know of things like this,he would be given very tall conditions and once a runaway father, always a runaway father Mr.man weather he was there ooo or not, tradition is tradition, respect the tradition and ignore the personality, the man is not talking about weather he was there or not. |

freshvine: Stella Oduah and her father are shameful for indulging in this kind of attitude. Burying another man child who's alive in his compound.
We know how we women brainwash our children against their fathers when we divorce them and the man here might even have let Stella Oduah enjoy the company of the young man while alive. It is imperative she send the dead boy back to his biological fathers house. don't mind all those people that feel, because the are educated and exposed, they can sideline traditions, even the igwe should be ashamed of himself, without consulting properly to know if the father of the man is aware. |

Chinaimporter: this is a not a matter of burial in fathers house....it is better for the boy to be buried in anambra...an inferior culture cannot and should not be allowed to dictate for a superior one. No man with even a quarter of an igbo blood should be buried outside igboland for any reason
Mr man close ur mouth biko, which one is inferior and superior, u think their culture is inferior and the igwe allowed his daughter and adaeze for that matter that is suppose to marry closer to home, to marry outside.biko it is their culture and we have to respect it. he has paid the dowry fully in the eyes of the gods and tradition and man. it is alright and just for his son to be buried wherever he deems fit. don't be little his ethnicity biko. |

biko biko biko she should do the right thing ooo, the man should be buried at his fathers place. that is the tradition understood by both ethnicity, the royal father ought to understand most, as he is one of the custodians of Igbo traditions, he should reply without sentiment. |

badman007: I see those who spread hate and injustice as ignorant. A wise man told me don't argue with fools cos people from a distance can't tell who is who. A United Nigeria is very significant to the entire Black race and the world at large. Its high time we stop focusing on the things that divide us and work hard to make a big, strong and prosperous BLACK state. Fighting over trivialities has been the biggest bane of our existence. Stand behind your government and slave for your country, your kids would live better and be proud of you. China did it, look where they are today. a government that doesn't listen to it people is no government at all, a government that sidelines on section of it populace is no government at all, a govt that divide it populace using vote casted as a bench mark is no government. are there tribes in china? are there tribes in japan? are there tribes in england, Ireland, Scotland, Denmark, Swaziland, Iceland, france. I can't stand behind a country that has no ethical values as bribe and corruption is the order of the day, while the government fails to listen to it citizenry. |

badman007: Dude, I'm from that part of the country you like to call Biafra, but I'm 100% Nigerian. I believe so much in my country and I don't think breaking it up would help any of us. Times are hard but I know we are very though. I wish my people would all come to see the strength we have in our numbers. Perhaps the best bet for now would be to decentralise our government. Give more powers to "responsible" states or regional governments and the sky would be our limit. dude I also use to think that way, until I came online and see how hateful others are of the Igbo tribe, spitting on their achievement, and laughing out loud at their woe, for a nation that is suppose to be united. bleep it, if Nigeria is not re- structured I will continue to give my voice to the break of Nigeria, I know we are better of on our own, we are exposed to the world and we can adapt to it and do just fine. the east has been shortchanged for long. |

kettykin: With all this metal scraps yet biafra still woefully lost the war, which simply makes technology not the sole means of winning a country backed by Britain and Soviet union. If Biafra had built more of Airborne vehicles and rockets that could haul payloads and hit with precision, targets that are more than 100 km away in dodan barracks, Kano, Kaduna etc possibly the war could have been prolonged, if biafra had mastered the art and technology of building under ground tunnels with fish ponds , poultry farms, water purification plants, refined pharmaceutical plants , nuclear power stations, nuclear arsenals, nuclear powered submarines that could blow up all the naval ships of the invaders, biafra would definitely have won the war after just 6 days.
Any body promoting biafra must be a mad and insane person. Igbos should just be contented in nigeria am sure ur fore father never imagined building any of these war craft, not even a motor bike during their time or when the biafran where being innovative, the say necessities give rise to innovation.and here u are condemning the innovation of others. these stuff was built within a period of 3 years, your country has existed for 54 years and they are still struggling to invent anything. if not for the Soviet union and britain, who give Nigeria mouth, how many countries in the world invent those stuff in the world u just mentioned.not to talk of Africa. |

searchiing4love: Palestinians deserve their own country because of the injustice melted out to them by Israel. They have suffered enough and we support their quest for self determination. Same Cannot be said of the igbos who have benefited from the unity of Nigeria more than other tribes. They are the most traveled tribe doing businesses in every part of the country. Igbo's are not persecuted like the Palestinians so what do you people need biafra for? Nnamdi kanu only came to mislead you people out of hatred and cheer irresponsibility and I'm glad he's rotting in jail while the Biafran agitations die rapidly. Biafra will never come.

if u do not know ur history please keep mute and those with indept knowledge of how Nigeria was built to run, speak. in terms of civilian rule it was due for the south west to mount the podium ( civilian president: nnamdi azikiwe, south east, shehu shagari, north, olusegun obasanjo south west, umaru yar adua, north, goodluck Jonathan, south south, m.buhari north ) Ernest shonekan tenure was short lived( only 3months) so it was still up for grabs for the south west. and when u said they voted more for olu falae, please what is the statistical percentage between the two of them.. and unto ojukwu running for president as well as chekwa okorie, well all know the statues quo that is about to be ruined. |
