ianSweet:what is diabolical about this, the Chinese still hold on to the festival, China is the most technologically advanced nation in the world and the up coming world power, they still; retain some of their culture, we have don away with the bad element of our culture, must u guys speak ill of this. I also heard someone saying that this is why Africa is still backward. how does this stop one from moving forward. if u don't believe in superstition then the thought of oneself that practicing this cultural practice will make one backward, is in itself superstition. 1 Like |

the way he spoke concerning the Biafra issue, that the way I expected all public figure thus past to have spoken. obiano, and the rest that spoke the way they did, should take a cue from this man. u don't just go around spewing trash when it come to a matter of this magnitude. there is tension in the land. and u shouldn't take sides when it comes to this issue. especially if yo Igbo.if at all u want to even take side, not publicly. |

this is an eye opener. Igboid thank for making giant strides toward the unification of all Igbo dominated region, too bad we are powerless wen it comes to state creation, I have always been of the opinion that anioma should be added to the south eastern people, BT u and I can't do anything about that, if we continue to reside in the country. things like this cannot be corrected. we can only enlighten others. Thanks once again. The vanguard of Igbo language. 2 Likes 1 Share |

I can only support southern unity, if it was aimed toward forming a new country, let me just use the name the democratic republic of the people of southern nigeria. till a better name has been picked, with part of the middle belt included, kwara, part of kogi that has ties with Igbo and Yoruba as well as Benue. aside that, it a no no. 5 Likes |

I can only support this, if the south is ready to form a country of their own, part of the middle belt that has any affiliation with the Yoruba and Igbo, plus Benue. aside that. it a no no. |

DarlingtonJ:now let me bring u up to speed with the reality of thing not infatuation, and I ask will you be comfortable sharing the same house with ur in-laws as a man for years without complaining? say the truth. can u and ur wife relocate down to the east so to be closer to them?? even if u don't want them to stay in the same house with u, can u help them relocate closer to u as u have suggested and foot the bills??. I wait for ur answer. what u don't know is that when an igboman is tired of is sojourn he retires to the east and when he is in the east there is nothing u will do outside his village that will take him away from his village. so their relocating down to ur house or close to where u stay is out of the picture, we can't change ome na ala Igbo. just to suit ur idea of love. east, west home is best. |

DarlingtonJ:bro! so she will be taking care of her parent from miles and miles away bah.. yo talking about love, love for family will always surpass that of an individual. her family's welfare will always come first. that in a way is LOVE. also u can't dispute the fact that both men and women from ur ethnicity are bound to cheat. am not saying that my ethnicity is perfect BT it on a lower side. divorce is also on a higher side when it comes to ur ethnicity due to the complexity of ur society. 2 Likes |

my man aside from what awolowo did that caused the death of millions of my people, Yorubaland is far from home, if a babe from Enugu marries a man from asaba or aba.. it will be quicker for her to rush home should the need arises. especially if she is the first daughter, first daughters are not allowed to marry too far from their village in question. unless their parent are well to do. aside for that ooo, me I won't advice my sister to marry a yorubaman rather she should stay at home, reason being that Yoruba men are not family oriented, I have been in Lagos for more than 20years. the chances that they may cheat on u is 8 out of 10. u can hardly find a Yoruba man that doesn't have a child outside before he turns 24, so ladies shouldn't be surprised if a child pops out from somewhere and claiming ur man to be his daddy. 2 Likes |

sarrki:have u ever been to the south east. it indigenously been developed as there is no major federal government presences in and around there. have u not been reading the news. it been willingly excluded. you call me a wailer for screaming at the top of my lungs, for my right. yet yo aware of the fact that what am screaming for is a just cause. take a look at Onitsha - akwa road, owerri - umuahia road. do we have to take up arms and do what the northerner did by using the blood of their people to attract federal govt sympathy. cos that what seems to be working. |

ibkgab001:I don't hate the news. aleast the innovative burden can now be unequally split in two half. it the more reason why we need a united south. this is the reason why We need the south to break away from Nigeria. not because one politician that doesn't not care about those that live in his street, not to talk about the whole south, has been thrown in muddy waters, u now want a united south. innovation should be a better reason for a united south. 1 Like |

most of you guys, that have no business with IMO state and yet support rochas, need a factory reset. how u all tend to react to Igbo related matter still baffles me. those guys on that Facebook page are probably from IMO and they know first hand what the governor has been doing in the state. Igbos are quick to praise u when u do go, and quick to condemn u when ur performance is abysmal. we are all aware of the fact that rochas is not the type of governor that listens to her people, and this is another way of biting at the governor, for trying to act like things are all rosy in his state. igbos are know to produce the best. BT if the rest of Nigeria thinks rochas is going to be the best Igbo can offer to them because like u all said " he is building bridges amongst tribes and ethnicity". if he get to the presidency, you all will be the first to throw stones. I am from IMO and I know first hand what rochas is capable of. we see what u don't see. call it hate. I wish him goodluck and I pray he becomes the president. we would continue to be diplomatic without fear or favour. we will tell u, hookline and sinker, what u are and what u represent. BT I see nothing wrong with the fact that rochas attended the ceremony, it not every year that one attains 10years anniversary on the throne. 1 Like |

Abiagirl777:I don't know how true this is, BT if true, then anambrans are taking this too far. ihiala is not far from mbaitoli so if a man from ihiala wants to marry an mbaitoli woman, the mother would not concor for what nah. this is the more reason why Biafra or regional system of government would make sense. back then no body knows anything called anambra or IMO. in the biafran system of government as well there will be nothing like anambra or IMO. everybody go and answer the name of those provinces he finds his village under. |

orimsamsam:that your business, who needs ur apologies?. now the casualties suffered from that single act alone was more than the entire military men killed on both side. so tell me, which was far greater, the casualties of the military men or the innocent souls starved to death. if the war had continued without that declaration and blocked of food we would have know who truly won the war. if the blocked of food didn't happen, the casualties would have been less than 800,000 soldiers. u do not have an excuse for consciously killing innocent women and children who where civilians. 3 Likes |

love lost can never be regained. the igbos ( my ethnicity) still hold alot of grudge against Nigeria and even other ethnicity that played a part in the massacre of it people. if it where to be an Ibibio man now, we hesitate to give our brides out. awolowo was the one who proposed the blocked of food meant for dying women and children. that enough to start a tribal war. Yoruba men are promiscuous without remorse.! |

ianSweet:wrong indeed majority of those involved in the coup where igbos BT it didn't just involve northerners alone. there have been several coup and counter coups after that , why do u think there is no ethnical intonation to it. well before the first coup, there has been bad blood brewing over the appointment of Igbos in some sectors and there where fears of Igbo taking over. after the coup the media felt it right in place to name it THE IGBO COUP instead of THE NZEOWGU COUP. their by fanning the ember of violence against the igbos. if they had felt that the their northern leaders where killed, why didn't they do the same. the had to kill Aguyi ironsi, as well as some of the coup plotters. was that not enough?? . why go to the extreme killing so many for the sins of a few, if not for the fact that u hate them and u just couldn't pass up on the opportunity presented to u as at that time. |
Politics / Re: Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu's 83rd Posthumous Birthday Is Today by OMAR12: 10:37am On Nov 04, 2016 |
ianSweet:I beg to quote u in response to others, who know the truth BT just wanted to turn this tread into a war zone. now no ethnicity no matter how meek, humble, kind, it people are would want to share a country with a people and government that openly and also assisted in the killing on 30,000 of it kins men and women under the space of 48 hours. it on record that 30,000 igbos were killed into north. even the Fulani, Hausa, Yoruba, would still be at war till today. cos if they didn't go to war the killing would have continued. the Igbo ethnicity where no coward. toe to toe we went with Nigeria in the battlefield stats shows that the biafrans were winning the war. until the blockade of food meant for children. the day Nigeria did that, it the day Nigeria lost it conscience, that why it will always turn a blind eye to the cry of her people. yes we lost a few millions my grandfather inclusive. BT it shows we are not pushovers. and best of it all WE ARE NO COWARD. If Gowon had honored the aburi accord, there would have been no need for the war.it the same aburi accord that ojukwu fought for. that the same aburi accord that Nigerian has realized that it was for the betterment of all. Thank You. 2 Likes |

themosthigh:dude leave that thing ojukwu will beat ur Othman Dan fodio hands down when it comes to warfare, Islam clashes with the Igbo traditional religion, if the Igbos am not saying the east am saying the igbos had embraced Islam earlier, all our traditions and festivals would have been extinct.
