uhmm Ada, I really don't know were u base BT u if have/ had been to owerri of recent or u base in owerri u will understand, IMO state recieves 190- 230 billion annual allocation yearly and it rearly reflect in the state infrastructural development, I will like to commend him on all new roads in orlu zone that leads to our sister state anambra, BT I mean orlu zone is not the only zone in IMO state, okigwe zone has not felt his presence, even owerri zone. about the school stuff in the north we all know it politically motivated, and his philanthropic attitude should have cease the moment he got into Douglas house .u can't be campaigning for people to pull their resources down to the east while u use the money meant for developing the state in developing that of others.

I'm just ashamed for/of these people. I'm Igbo too, but the way they're going about this is simply irritating. RIP to the dead. His death was very unnecessary. Mankind has seen wars and strife. Countries in the world today that have agreed to work together, had their deadly differences in the past. Why not work on rehabilitation of image and strengthening the tribal unity, rather than the foolish resources invested in this nonsense??

With all the hatred between Igbos and Yoruba displaced on this forum and interest in Biafra as a country. I wonder why the Igbos just don't all move back to the east and develop their own country?

I support the idea of Biafra. I think it is a good idea. If most Igbos live and work in SE areas, then indirectly there is Biafra. Trade among each other and import and export from 'Biafra'.

People should just live in their own lands with their own people and there will be less stress. The Fulanis and their cattle in their arid lands and Hausas in their sand storm areas.

I avoid going to the North and the East. Every man should stay in his fatherland. Simple.

I'm not putting off whatever injustice they might feel, but what's the rush? Is Nigeria's leadership going anywhere? I also am not happy about the way Buhari thinks that by avoiding the issue like it doesn't exist, would make it go away on its own.

As a leader, one must try to inspire confidence. And as it is with a culturally diverse country as Nigeria, he must try to offer a hand of care or something and reach out. It's not easy to do this when it seems like a bunch of people in the east are busy disturbing the peace of the country, and adding to the issue of Boko Haram. How do you expect a country to focus and be better??

Mr man u do not put ur country above ur tribe, never ur tribe is ur identity right from the onset of ur creation, ur country is where u found urself, the larger Igbo society wants out cos we believe in our potentials. where we know we can collective tackle our kinsmen if they do wrong without fear or favor of what other tribes may say as been don in Nigeria, where power won't be turn by turn and u wait for the tenure of an unproductive government to finish before giving it the boot. come next general election I can tell u lesser vote will come from the south east because those down there are tried.

whenever I read comment here,I just shake my head to how shallow minded most of you thing, why do u protest? you protest to put pressure on something or someone in order to gain the much needed attention and air your view, discontent or in content to issue relating to a particular subject matter, it like when you ask a kid to do something or stay at a place, when he grumbles, then he is in disagreement. now those citizens in and around the south east have protested and it up to the lawmakers representing them to table their matter to the national assembly, the lawmakers are their to express the peoples view on things. so in essence they are towing the right path when it comes to airing their views and if it doesn't seem to work,the best they can do is protest till their lawmakers representing them final make the view of the people they are representing known to the national assembly.

Wouldn't it then be unwise to resist the only reasonable solution on the basis of tribalism? If there are no grazing areas delineated for that purpose, wouldn't the violence continue?

The names are mostly Hausa's (Buhari) and Yoruba's (Tinubu) and to me it is not bad at all.

There are a sprinkling of other minority names,so my analysis of this is simple.

The Hausa's and Yorubas are getting the large shares,because they did the right thing at the last election. If the East and the South South wants to get rewarded,then come 2019 they should do the right thing.
