Goodboiyy:Lol. Abi. I've been a happier person honestly. The insults don't seem to mean anything to me anymore, its like magic! ![]() Used to hurt me a lot. ![]() |
See El Rufai. Cute little man. ![]() Welcome home Baba. We missed you sir. ![]() |
I think Saraki just gave himself a head shot. It is finished. |
barcanista:Hahahaha. No start abeg. I simply ignore your threads and don't really go there to insult you or anyone for that matter. I proclaimed two days ago that I've given up all that name calling stuff, and will honour that pledge to the letter. I realised I was letting the character of other people shape mine on the forum. I was losing it. Insulting has never really been my thing. Had to turn a new leaf and let people who go dirty do their thing. All I need to do is state my objective opinion and leave the stage so the kids could play. You know, I had it on very good account these governors "settle" a lot of people from this criminality. Traditional rulers, top hierarchy of police, the armed forces (depending on which arm of it has bases in the state), and a few party bigwigs. It is the reason searchlight is hardly beamed on it. It is one black hole that consumes anything that gets close to it (just like a cosmic black hole). I bet the reason why the NASS has never deemed it necessary considering legislation on it is because they also have been having their palms greased from the sleaze. State assemblies as we know them are simply rubber stamps, they can hardly check the excesses of their governors. Imagine a state as peaceful as Cross Rivers having such amount. What exactly was Liyel securing?? Look at peaceful Benue. Gosh! I bet had most of the states done away with the security vote, they wouldn't have had the kind of solvency crises they are enmeshed in right now, so bad they can't even pay a month's salary. God help us. |
barcanista:It is really heart breaking when one considers the opportunity costs of these security votes. Not sure if this particular expenditure is covered under the constitution, I think the incoming NASS should do something about it. What exactly are they securing?? How many times has Kwankwaso died?? Would be reasonable to have this published on twitter and make it go viral. It is high time some attention shifted from the center to our respective states where some of the worst thefts have been going on undetected for decades. |
In as much as the source of the news is suspect, if one were to take it on its face value, I'd say Saraki just rang the death knell on his political career. He'd definitely hit the ground limping on this. |
What people fail to understand is that everything, I mean, every single thing, done at these meetings follows strict protocol, absolutely nothing is left to chance. Imagine saying Buhari "hustled is way to the front". Can one really engage these guys in an argument?? I think they've chosen their brand of opposition regardless of how events unfold. It is left to us to promote the good image of the admin just as we always have and not let ourselves become completely distracted by their condemnable antics. |
He must have been kind to his blood, but he was unkind to Nigeria and must answer to his crimes. Thousands of people re rotting away in Nigerian jails for far lesser crimes. I hope they get the punishment they deserve. |
dustmalik:Saraki is not going to be the Senate president. PDP is simply trying to play Fast one on Saraki, his supporters and APC, sneak from behind and snatch the leadership of the Senate. They probably must have held some meeting where they agreed, barring a resolution of the crises in APC, they should unanimously vote for Senator Mark. They have only announced they would support Saraki in order to keep his supporters loyal to him assuring them of victory but the real intent of their declaration is to split APC votes. When this happens and all PDP Senators vote Mark, they are likely to emerge winners by a simple majority. Let us hope the Saraki camp could see through this ages old scheme and do what is right for their own good and for the good of the party. And I also hope the news making the rounds of him calling the VP a "mere commissioner" is untrue. |
muzzafar:Exactly what point is this one trying to make. You sound like a kid honestly. |
The ultimate panacea to the perpetual restiveness in the Niger Delta remains the exploration of oil in other parts of the country, just as was said by Senator Bruce. And with Dangote already positioning his refinery in Lagos, I see a world of much more positive economic news headlines coming from the state, especially as the major players in this episode wouldn't need to deal with all those security upheavals we see in the ND. When production eventually begins in the North, Nigeria would come full circle in realising her aspirations as regards peace, security and progress. God help us all. |

Well, in Nigeria, this is a statement of fact and nothing less. Nevertheless, it is an indictment on himself and his counterparts across the nation, and indeed represents a failure of government at all levels. The schools the elites send their kids to oversees are public and not private schools. Those governments understand that quality education is the bedrock national prosperity. Through qualitative education, you build an enlightened citizenry, and a productive work force. But in Nigeria, the government is scared of having a population that is enlightened and productive because by so doing, they wouldn't have sufficient manpower to snatch ballot boxes for them on election days, thugs to intimidate voters, and assassins to kill opponents. They would end up with a people that would hold them to account and have them kicked out of office through popular movement if they do what is required of them as leaders. I hope to see a huge shift from the status quo under this administration. Ps: I'm retired from insults and name calling. Folks (especially PDP supporters) on this forum seem to have made me change so much in the way I express myself here I'm even surprised at the things I write. That wasn't me honestly. I know too well I'm better than that. Apologies to all those whom I might have insulted one way or the other, including the immediate past president. I'm all for criticism without name calling. Thanks. |
Ihedioha2015:Respect. Benue should top that list anyway. |
Dannyset:See yarn!! :Lmao. D ![]() |
I see a lot of hope in the direction to which this administration is drifting. Its cooperation with the world powers MUST be based on mutual benefits as obtainable in typical bilateral relations and not what it was in the immediate past where our foreign partners undercut us in every conceivable way whenever they engage us. It is instructive to note that there's been a paradigm shift in the perception of world leaders regarding the country since the new admin was sworn in, and being such a shrewd man he is, Baba would exploit and leverage on the goodwill for the ultimate purpose of establishing Nigeria as a country to be reckoned with not just regionally, but indeed globally. Serious work lies ahead. Very daunting they might seem, but I know with the support and prayers of well Nigerians, Baba will surely succeed, setting a new template for assessment of governments that would succeed his. God bless you sir. |
Chubhie:Couldn't believe the post myself. |
LEvuls:Make sense post. ![]() |
A rare gem whose service delighted Nigerians across all political, ethnic and religious divide. She left a void that would be impossible to fill in our dear country, lived and died in sacrifice to her father land. Another candle in the wind.... We will always miss you aunty Dora. Hope you continue to rest in peace. |

Lemon12:Though your comment sucks, the picture cracked me up real good. ![]() ![]() Una just too stubborn honestly. ![]() |
DickDastardly:You think he's like your foolish hero who's run to London for a labia licking session with Okpolo Eyes?? ![]() Sai Baba. Haters can go kayaking around the Bermuda Triangle for all we care. ![]() |
NDPVF:Just so you know, I don't give a rat's fart who or what you mourn. Since you guys have decided to turn the politics board into a place where only those who could dish out the "vilest" of words can thrive, so shall it be. In the mean time, go fvck yourself. |
First, Buhari never said he is poor. He isn't, was not, and will never be poor. When people say he is "poor", they are speaking in comparative terms. Now, Buhari has headed the most lucrative offices in this country yet remains a very modest man. When you compare what he owns, or the life he leads to those displayed by ordinary Perm Secs in a Federal Ministry, you'd understand why people say "he's poor". I hope I helped. |
