Nigeria President Goodluck Jonathan was a surprise guest of the Super Eagles at their training inside the National Stadium, Addis Ababa on Saturday, ahead of their 2014 World Cup qualifier against Ethiopia.

Taking time off from attending the African Union Summit in Addis Ababa, President Jonathan told coach Stephen Keshi and the team to go all out for victory against the Walia Antelopes and make Nigerians proud.

“We’ve been going to the World Cup, this year we don’t just want to go, we want to make an impact so that the world will begin to know that we have arrived as a nation,” President Jonathan said.

“We will give you all the encouragement. Thank you for what you’re doing for us,” he said.

Nigeria Football Federation president Aminu Maigari thanked President Jonathan for showing dedication to the national team and assured him of the team’s determination to succeed.

“I want to assure you on behalf of the team and the Nigerian football family that we will be [in Brazil],” Maigari said.

He praised the efforts of the President for not only supporting the team but also making effort to see them physically, the first time being in Abuja in 2012.

“Goodluck Jonathan is the only president who created time within his tight schedule to be with our Super Eagles, twice. This is the biggest motivation we need,” he said.

But, why is it that Federal Government does not usually honour aggreements entered into with all these unions? I really cannot blame ASUU for anything here, as long as it remains an aggreement the Government made with them, moreso as this is not the first time they have had to strike in order for government to honour aggreements.

It's sad but I think the devil between ASUU and FG is the latter. Come to think of it, most children of ASSUU members are affected by this same strike, whereas the same cannot be said about these top politicians who continue to take every Tom, Dicck and Harry in this country for granted.

I'm a paramedic and I get to see and hear a lot cos of where I work.People have issues.Many men are straight but they need help.The environment where we live where men have this false macho air makes many not to seek help.

See, there is a limit to everything. A woman describes her sexual relations with her husband as BARELY TWICE IN A MONTH and you disagree to revisit his sexual orientations I do not think it is correct.

And I never said a man with low libido cannot impregnate a woman. I only suggested that by virtue of that fact he has imoregnated her before, it shows that the man is at least physiologically normal.

A man's libido is a function of an interplay between psychology, behaviour, beliefs and physiology, and in this case I feel this man is physiologically okay. That left me with only psychological/bahavioural and issues of belief (eg religion and upbringing), as these can all significantly suppress libido or, more appropriately put, sexual expression. But with 2 times in 30 days, and the fact he used fatigue as a reason to evade possible confrontation or expression of dissatisfation from his wife during their early marital period, looks like someone who knew what his wife did not know.

Abnormal sexual orientation is not an uncommon cause of this man's behaviour.

Though I am not a psychologist nor a psychiatrist, but as a medical doctor I have had the priviledge of having some men confide in me regarding issues as this.

This issue started since immediately after wedding. It is not as if the OP had previously known the man's sexual behaviours, therefore I still stand by my advice that she should ensure her man is not attracted to males.

Get him to see a doctor who will run tests to check his testosterone level.If it's low he'll be put on some medication.
It's also possible that he might have some psychological issues about sex probably based on past experience.

He may not be getting anything outside or be gay like some people are insinuating.It's a medical/pyschological issue.I once met a guy who told me he could go for weeks without even thinking about it and that it's his wife who even reminds him.

you'd be shocked how many gay men out there are marrying women! This is Africa and with our homophobic attitudes more men with gay inclinations will try and suppress it because of sociatal concerns.

Of all the compatibility issues to consider before marriage, sexual compatibility is perhaps one of the most important.

Matrimonial sex of 2 times per month, for the male, is not 'normal', and the reason of "tiredness" given by him raises some eyebrow.

Obviously, your man is biologically normal since he has fathered your child.

However, It is possible your husband had/has gay tendencies. I think it's a problem with his attaction to the opposite sex generally, not just you.

I have a friend who I've been counselling to overcome his gay tendencies after he confessed to me that he doesnt feel any sexual attraction to the opposite sex, while agreeing he has romantic inclinations toward same sex. Try and rule out homosexual tendencies in him. It will be hard for him to admit sha, as he will be afraid of the consequences and confidentiality issues that may arise from that.

Edo, Bayelsa, Ondo and rural Akwa Ibom are amongst the best down south. Osun is very good but not oil producing.

Edo averages 95k. LGA health centers pay between 100 - 130 but will absorb just a few. State General Hospitals will absorb most corper doctors and will pay around 70, while UBTH takes quite a number too and does 75k.

Bayelsa is 75k flat.

Osun and Ondo averages 90k

Akwaibom rural nears 70k.

Sporadic places in Delta may pay up to the above, but that is not guaranteed, cos pay as low as 40 may be obtainable there too.

Asides the pay, or in terms of other opportunities like after POP employment or retainment, service in a tertiary center (irrespective of the state) will offer more, both in the short (mostly in terms of pay, cos they hardly retain) or long term (you gain many contacts for future purposes such as residency placements, etc).

Cities like Abuja and Lagos will give better and more decent (mainly Abuja) job opportunities in private practice.

Because while I get your point that no contract (in legal terms) exists between them and Acess, we should understand that the end consumers of labour (in this case Acess Bank) should show a certain level of Moral obligations to their staff, lest the said staff become slaves.

(this case reminds me of what NYSC is turning out to be, whereby some corpers are treated as slaves despite working harder and holding better qualifications (in some cases) than the primary staff of their PPA, all because they were kind of "outsourced" from NYSC)

While agreeing it is important one learns how to go around tricky questiions, I believe that these are not the issues why people do not get hired. If you are one of the bests and the recruitment is based on merit, then you will be hired. Mentioning any amount does not determine how much you get paid, nor if you will get hired. COSMO FM Enugu! It was owned by the fomer governor of the state before EFCC froze it due to corruption charges. Entertainment based, it had a very unique brand that I'm yet to see in any other radio station. Peeps in and around Enugu will know better.

The above quote was from a young Nigerian lady on Scholarship in Diaspora. It is easy to see the practical difference in the perspective from which she sees the OP's situation. While acknowledging that all is not yet well with Nigeria, she sees that, along with the further education and exposure she is getting from the US, as an investment to be useful for the development of her own country.

The difference is that she has taken a less myopic and egoistic view of the situation. She took a global view.

Like I said earlier, it is your respective views and no one has a right to dictate for another.
