Midax & Phoenix:You are correct sir, 44. The least paid got about N20m when in the real sense after the first year a handful had gone to Covenant, Bowen, RUN etc and they were paid good money. One of them was a pioneer VC of one the biggest private Unis in town. So Government should please learn from the mistake of past administrations. |
Samotology: Hw on earth could u be fighting a group and continue to pay them salary yet u expect to win, FG should wake upStopping their salaries is like saving the money for them sir. They already know this fact, so the best is to see how the issue can be resolved amicably and possibly, through legal means. |
0lumide: For someone who supports GEJ with his mom's life, you know you just goofed by not showing the proof but instead talking about it?Oga, I was in University of Ilorin those days when the branch ASUU was hot ( 97, 99 and 2000). The 'no work no pay' rule was first tested in Unilorin. Ask any one who was in Unilorin between 97- 2007, after close to ten years, the lecturer won their case in the Supreme Court. The funniest thing was that the least paid earned about N20m or so, depending on your HATISS. Even those who died during the struggle, their families received their pay. My point exactly is that after suspending their salary for years and some had gone to private universities, the court still ruled that they should earn salary till the date of the judgment or so. So please let us learn from the past. If the FG thinks they are overbearing, let them take legal action as against illegal action of 'no work no pay'. |
druid06: I've never been fond of lawyers. They are set of beings of their own level. Very shady and dishonest set of individuals. Always twisting the law in their favour.Ah, please this advice is bad. @ poster, one of the challenges we have in Nigeria is that the custodian of our laws are always twisting the law to their favour. First, try and get a lawyer who will not compromise, tell him to file application to accelerate hearing, deposing to an affidavit with all the facts you have mentioned above. Your tenant doesn't have to attend court. You can move the court in his absence, all you need to do is serve him dates notices regularly and let there be proof of service. Bottomline, get another lawyer and he will do the needful. |
manmade: Ben , the above write up doesn't make any sense @ all.I regretted wasting my precious time to read it.You didn't have to quote the whole write up. You could have just said @ OP or mention his name and tell him the post doesn't make sense. |
Beaf!:Haba, that is the one in Alausa. |
chindi: Happy Independence Day Nairalanders. Many thanks for your apt post. But I think much more than exposing their scams, you can bring an action against them. For instant the omo advert. |
Tittos: When did it become the job of the BPE to carry out such policies..am certain this man is broke and just wants more money..This is how it's going to pan out. He will write a very interesting proposal and make a good presentation to the FEC. Jonathan in his usual desperation to curtail the amount of insults he receives will immediately dull out huge cash to the BPE to actualize this however impossible project. Fast forward 5 years later this Benjamin Dikko will be a billionaire hustling for presidency or a senate positionMany thanks for your post most especially in relation to BPE. I would have thought a NITDA or an agency under the ministry of Science & Technology. Clowns all over the place. |
adedara123: 1. 4 deed of assignment duly signed(original)Thanks for this useful info. It is almost not different from the old guideline. |
tokunboh: I guessed you did not take time to think these through before you type plus you may not have gone through the discussion trail. The boldest part of your statement actually tells you about the powers of the president and the limitations of the Governor when it comes to police matters - that's one of the simple explanation of separation of powers. The earlier post from your friend (or is it you with a different moniker) says the police should always obey whatever the governor says - they are not answerable to him. Any governor that tries to dictate to the police is usurping powers of the president regarding police matters. I hope you've been able to pick one or two points from here.Oga, engineer, President is an Executive arm at the federal level while Governor is an executive arm at the state level since we practice " federalism". The issue of who controls the Police between the President and the Governor is Concurrent Power or Exclusive Power and not separation of power. Please Google separation of power. The term is used only when you are referring to the Powers of President Jonathan, Mark, Tambuwal and Aloma Mukthar as distinct. It is not a term you will use when you are referring to President Jonathan's power and that of Ameachi's. |
![]() oko-oloyun:why don't you go and take care of your pregnant wives. |
tokunboh: Amaechi came up with a parallel secretariat which is illegal in the first place and he already knew that road has been cordoned off. Why find trouble where there is none? You may want to lecture me on what it means to be a Chief Security Officer but Amaechi's actions does not portray him to be one.Separation of power is a term used to denote the powers of the legislature, executive and judiciary arm of government as distinct from one another. The three arms both act as a check to one another. It has nothing to do with the Nigerian Police, please read the Constitution very well. The Police takes Orders from the President while the Police can take Orders from the Governor subject to verifying the Order from the President. In this matter there are two authorities, The Constitution and The Police Act but the Constitution supercedes the Police Act. I would rather go with the provisions of the Constitution. NB: Please ensure you arm yourself very well before you dabble into discussion, this is secondary school government subject and some 100L legal method. Thanks. |
vanunu: Surely it won't end well for GEJ administration, Nigeria has never had it so bad! This impunity is just too much. Please state your opinion without having to insult people. Now to the point under discussion, Section 176 (2) of the 1999 Constitution as amended, provides that a Governor is the Chief Executive of his/her State. Please Google the meaning of CEO. One definition says the CEO is responsible for the overall performance of his organisation, another one says he is the highest executive etc. By the provision of the same constitution, Section 215(4), the Governor or a Commissioner as directed by the Governor can issue directive to the CP subject to verification from the President. The implication is that there cannot be any security issue that the Governor should not know about. If there was actually a security situation, he should have been informed and he would have gone through the alternative routes, not when he got to the spot, which is the main entrance. Please Ameachi may be bad but let us no condone what is bad. CP Mbu is acting ultra vires. |
Sincere 9gerian: Is that what the constitution says? If the governors entry into the govt house thru that route will cause break down of law and order, it is the constitutional responsibility of the police to prevent that from happening.@ sincere 9gerian, most times when I read your post, I have had to ask myself " does this guy read his post before submission?" I am not a fan of either of these guys but a Nigerian who believes the law must take its due course. From your post above, you are invariably saying if the President was approaching 3 arms zone with the intent of entering Aso Rock, he could be prevented by the Commissioner of Police FCT Command on the grounds of avoiding breakdown of law and order. Taaa my friend, I disagree. |
Missktinz: Is this still available@ Missktinz, Should u need other options, I have a 2 storey building by Oregun off Awolowo Way. N5m per floor per annum. Thanks. |
I have used quickteller before payments but not PHCN. Please try and see if it can work. |
koastar: The boy might have tried several times to penetrate the girl but failed to the break the hymen which makes her still a virgin and while trying, his spermatozoae might have dripped into the girl leading to the conception. You are correct on the analogy but I do not subscribe to the immaculate thing. This is about the fourth time, I have heard this kind of conception. I am not a doctor though, but as long as semen can enter and the thing meets with an egg, confirmed. The first case I had, the guy was always fond of spilling semen around the area, when the girl became pregnant, the guy denied and swore by everything that he never had penetration. Upon further test, it was confirmed that the hymen was still intact. It was after so much drilling that he confessed that he was always spilling around the area. |
gboss4sure: Stop talking nonsense and show us video proof or picture proof that he was beaten by the police. Nawa dis kind people since dem begin shout he was beaten by the police i have never seen a single picI suggest you go to the Police station and take the pix yourself. Pix of a man being tortured! It is obvious you do not know how Police work. The only item that would be on the guy is a pair of boxers and t-shirt and as a visitor to him, you would have to submit all devices on you except you have a pen camera. |
aurenflani: There's nothing like the holy spirit talking to yours or any of the christianism liars's tongue. It is all shenanigans and liesand you quoted the whole text so as to write just this....... ah no! Please you don't have to type if you have got nothing to share. |

I think you should go to the technology section. I was there sometimes ago when I needed to do what you want now. Invariably, I got valuable information. I now use tethering application on my Samsung tablet anytime I need to use my laptop. |
Please what is the asking?. |
@OP, nice topic. I was discussing with a couple of friends recently on the need to access this fund. Not many Nigerians are aware of this fund though. Thanks all the same for sharing, I have one addition to my knowledge about this fund. |
Ramcie: From the voices I heard cos the video was stagnant (abi na my fone?) Gov Ameachi obviously won the election and there wasn't much opposition to the voting process. From my calculation, Aregbe did the coverage, Fayemi sat to his left ( his cap was on the table) Fashola was at Fayemi's left, consequently, it was the same Aregbe that was doing the irritating stuff. If you listen attentively, you will hear Fashola's voice saying " I told you, you eat to much" while Fayemi said "bless you." |
