ericana: What is the current cost to set up a limited liability(i.e a private company) with a capital share of 750,000 naira? Please help.Hi, 750,000 share capital will attract almost the same amount 1m share will cost. CAC charges fees per 1m while stamp duty fees varies. So I usually advice clients to do 1m. Depending on who will do it for you, you may set aside < or > N60k. |

Hi, I do hope you made the dole from genuine source thus, you should not be afraid of being scammed. In most cases, apart from one or two incidents, those who are scammed are usually in a hurry to get profit on their investments or wanting to invest 20k and get N2m in returns. To get a property, you have to look at what you have vis a vis the area where your fund can get a land/property for you. Let us take Lagos for example, it is practically impossible to get land or property for N5m in highly density area like Ogba, Ikeja, Surulere, Ajah, Festac etc, although, if you are lucky, you could get some old house aka tenement building from N7m and above in those aforemenionted area but you will likely have to pull down and construct a new structure. You can aslo look at Magodo Shangisha N35m and above, Magodo Isheri= N25m and above, Omole 1 & 2 = N40 and above. The class area including GRA Ikeja N100-N120m and above, Old Ikoyi depending on square metres= N300m and above, Banana Island also depends on the square metres= N350-N500m and above. If you have information at your tip and you engage professionals, the chances that you will be scammed would be reduced. In any case, I am a lawyer with interest in Real Estate, you could holla me on kleandenation@yahoo.ca as I have some genuine properties on ground. |
Hi, You will probably not get any lawyer who would advise you here. Not because they don't want to but because what you wrote did not drive home any point. I want you to see lawyers as doctors who examine your legal illness and prescribe or treat your legal illness based on the information you give. He looks at the symptoms of the legal illness and if he can, do legal diagnosis before administering legal treatment. I want to you to please go over your post again and see if you could re-write so that this forum will understand and offer advice. In the meantime, if you are in Nigeria, please walk to a law office and table your issue. Compliment of the season. |
Very good idea, hope they have put in place strategy to curb traffic snarl. That road was always jammed even before the mall was built. |
Sirdayor:Sir/Ma, I think you should cross check your information very well. @ OP, between 2005, 2006 to sometimes in 2010, the CAC portal was up and was used by all those who were accredited by CAC. The first step is to go to the Bank (it used to be GT and Zenith but GT pulled out later). I know of two Zenith branches that do this, the one beside Tower Aluminium at Oba Akran road, Ikeja and the one close to Ajose House at Ajose Adeogun, VI (you know the Ajose family will do all they can to ensure that street is not renamed Zenith street). Once the bank creates a portal for you, you fund your account on that portal and you can do availability, scan and submit already stamped incorporation documents and get your CTC/ certificate via post or you instruct some1 to pick it for you at ABJ HQ. I have used it before and it worked until it crashed sometimes in 2010. There are efforts to bring it up early in 2012. It would therefore be unfair to say it is impossible, I would have expected that some1 would add " for now". I am not condoning mediocrity but we should say things that we know or the way they are. Accept my compliments. |
prof edet:May I humbly remind you that this post is about business name registration as intended by the original poster. Please locate the thread on Trademark and Patent and you will get the info you require. However, if you cannot locate the thread you may send me a mail at kleandenation@yahoo.ca Tuffy:This is businessname registration thread, it is slightly different from private limited company. You sound as if you are in India, well you may locate the thread "FAQ on company registration" & others and you will find the info you need. Ultimately, what you need is an accredited Person with the company registry in Nigeria and they will fix all those query. |
Good talk guys. You all will remember the Large contingent to the last FIFA WC in SA and the amount of USD wasted on "allawe". Anyway NFF and Eagle will not be in AFCON, that means no "allawe" and you expect them to be nice to SIA, mba! Well I think SIA failed outrightly and he should be rebuked or something as against sacking him, but I do not think sacking coaches frequently will do us good . By the way SIA one is from Bayelsa State, (well don't tell anybody I said this oh, the SAGA between Hon Minister of Transport and NIMASA DG, the Hon Minister rubbised the DG and did all sorts, Presi didn't say a word but in a swift reaction the following week moved the Hon Minister to another non- juicy ministry- the lesson "don't mess with Presi guys" . Presi will not interfare with NFF's decision but they should be ready for the consequence.Legally, I think the contract can be ammended to accomodate SIA being in the saddle for the next 4 years irrespective of the AFCON ouster. |
e yah! Sorry. Please move on with your life as this is not the end of life. Be cautious when entering another relationship and don't let this turn you into a rigid being. One day you will meet the one who will be honest with you. Am ouuta of here. |
@ OP, thank you for the articulated information, please note however that CAC has re-designed the business name form which used to be a large green 4 pages card. It is now like an incorporation form and now has a column for accreditation number. It implies that from now on and with time, you may not be able to register business name without the input of a lawyer, chartered accountants and chartered secretaries. |
dabrake:May I humbly ask why you have suddenly become a town crier? If you understood my post you probably won't be reminded that the post was paradoxical. I think you should weep for the country, not me. People don't complain when one who does not stand for something falls for anything but they do if one who stands for something falls for anything. Weep no more, ABATI is now one of the tools that will move this country forward- even if we have to go on a snail-speed or crab-crawling progress. |
May be Nigeria has improved now that ABATI is on board. After all he rolled out their 100 days achievement including a visit to Original Black African Managing America. finally. Show me your achievement abi have u shaken any US president in your life? |

@ OP are you there? |
A man that folds his arm when injustice is done to others would one day find others folding their arms when injustice is done to him. To thy tent oh isreal. |
Yeah, you can collaborate for training as well as survey. I know a lot of local companies that can do both (respectively) however, going FORWARD, you cannot do business in Nigeria as a foreign company without registration or exemption. |
Hi all, Please note that there is an exception to a foreign company registering in Nigeria. In most cases, such exceptions are usually given to foreign companies invited to carry out a specific project by either tier of governments. There are other exceptions. @ OP, you have to register your SA company afresh in Nigeria. Thanks. |
Hi all, We have a 5 bedroom duplex in Victoria Island suitable for office use. Rent : N7.5m per annum. For inspection please mail kleandenation@yahoo.ca or call 08033061606. Thanks. |
Good people of Nigeria, I really do not like the way we are yabbing our President. It is not fair. The solution is, let us pray that Mr. President' luck that brought him so far will rub on us and wash away the bad luck. Then there won't be mass loss of lives in okene/lokoja road every year, mass loss of lives ignited by boko haram, accident resulting from bad road network etc AMEN. By the way did anybody see the befitting burial given to American soldiers who died in the helicopter crash recently? Among them was a navy seal whose dog also mourned his death. You need to go to youtube. Now the lesson there is that they value life more than us. They lost about 30 lives and they declare the actual figure. When last have heard the correct figures of casualties in this Naija? They told us 18 people died in the UN building bombing. But they did not tell us that a conference was on going and the building which had close to 300 people including children in its chreche as at the time of the bomb blast. Let them keep deceiving us and let us keep praying for good luck. AMEN once again. |
MATTHEW59:Hi, you are correct however you need a Tax identification No. |
lawyer:welcome back from leave |
fork adict:Thanks for your post. You took the word out of my mouth. My grouse here as a Nigerian (not even as a lawyer) is that the issue at stake is bigger than Salami as GEJ supporters have failed to admit. First and foremost, the guy went to court and the Highest judicial body in the country evaded service. It was after so much outcry that they accepted service and while the uproar was about going down, he was recommended for suspension and retirement and on a Sunday evening the recomendation was approved bla bla by the president. HABA is that the only issue that requires speedy presidential attention? When people died in their 10s in the last Lagos flood and property worth millions were lost, was it given speedy presidential attention? What about kerosene/aviation fuel scarcity? Pro GEJ, as much as I know you are entiltled to your opinion (s), there is more to this. I am not saying Salami is right either but men OLEKU. |
https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-608964.0.html Hi, in addition to what other posters have said, you may consider the post above. Ltd by Gte is getting more attention from those who want to run NGOs. |
Hi, Please get a consultant and a lawyer and agree with them on a percentage should the idea scale thru with either of Telcos. Most importantly, let the lawyer protect the idea either with trademark, patent, design etc. That is the link I have for you. |
