That was not how it happened .according to history, in the ancient time, there were various inter-ethnic clashes among various kingdoms and it is only ideal as at that time that any kingdoms or prisoner captured will be treated as a commodity and sold.Sometimes among wealthy men in various villages as domestic or commercial laborers...but not seen as slave. Some of these prisoners were fortunate to be treated nicely and became a part of the house hold of their captures.An example is Jaja of Opobo who was sold locally into slavery and he one day became the king of Opobo. So it goes in either ways, is either you are sold locally or across the Atlantic.

I grew up with many cats over the years ,both the ones I personally purchase and the strayed that were rescued and I loved them all. So far nothing has happened to me.
I have traveled to different places and returned safely. I have gone for job interviews and know when I did not do well and shouldn't be expecting any magic. I slept peacefully and my cat which sometimes will crawl up and sleep on my body and we both sleep together all through the night and no witch will come press me. One of my Indian family friends daughter was coming from school in ilupeju saw a kitten on the road being thrown stones at, and had legs broken. She inquired why they were beating her. They said she was a witch and deserve to die. She asked for permission to take her. They laughed at her as she took her according to her. She Brought the kitten home, bought milk and feeding bottle for her, took her to vet and she got treatment. 3 weeks later , I visited and saw the cat in a special bed , and in joyous and very playful mood while recovering. Uptil now the cat is enjoying in their house with full play. But here in Nigeria, everything is spiritual and witchcrafts. You didn't check your environment may be is close to the bush and harbor lots of small animals like lizards and rats. They just jump into conclusion by killing the innocent cats. At least, you would have caught them and take them to closest zoo for proper documentation. You would have made little money or have satisfaction.
I don't blame the people that killed them, I only blame the church and the so called spiritual leaders that spiritualise everything in black nations while most of them are the real spiritual witches. Foreigners especially the whites have soft heart but we blacks have stone heart and wicked ones.

I concur with you. I & my sister have rescued so many cats over the years .Some i made my pet while others were sold to my friends that loves cat .They are lovely creatures and people should be nice to them. I don't know why some Nigerians have wicked heart. The way they treat animals is the same way they treat other people that are vulnerable.
The churches are even worse off..I rarely go to church ( i rather pray to my God at home) but I am way better than most Nigerians that sleep in church as their heart is as dark & wicked like the witches in their villages. Let me tell you an incident that happened last month in my house. There was a heavy down pour..The whole place was wet and cold..then I saw a black bird perched by my window to take shelter due to the rain. Immediately, I knew it was there becos of the rain and I made sure not to move from my bed in order not to disturb it so that it does not panic and run off. I admired it, while it was there, trying to dry itself up. Then after 30 minutes it flew away. That is what it means to have a free mind and that is becos i do not bother myself about the underworld. These nonsense has a way of messing you up.So many Nigerians are slaves to these phenomenon..it makes them seriously paranoid and they act irrational.So many have severe ties with their love ones becos one pastor with his twisted mind told them some rubbish..I dont like them, I usually stay away from people like that.They have negative energy becos of how they think. .
