resurgentxtian4: Why shouldn’t I brag about voting strength? Do you igbos have the numbers to take Buhari out all by yourselves? Igbos should try and be strategic for once and not allow civil war emotions becloud their reasoning when it comes to working with other tribes to achieve set objectives. Removing Buhari is a very noble objective but the hate igbos have for Yorubas will once more scuttle a noble endeavor.
We are all in this together and igbos will not be heard when they begin crying for the agony Buhari will bring upon all Nigerians (we all know igbos wail the most in Nigeria due to their obscure political and social status).
Shut up and do not annoy the Yorubas. what about the hate Yorubas have for the Igbos..you should not do to others what you know you would not tolerate..both tribe have been at each other neck since 2015 and the Yorubas didn't feel any Pinch and seem unperturbed when the Igbo were shouting ontop of their lungs about Buhari vindictive, rigid, nepotistic & Clannish style of leadership..the Yoruba and the Hausa/Fulani's were like twins and they celebrated their Juicy position calling it the 95/5 % treatment against the south south and south east ...now that the snake has turned back to bite you guys you are now taking your anger on the same southerners that warned you about the personality of Buhari...why are you upset? boastfulness, greed, pride and arrogant is the problem of the south..we hate one another and would rather dine with the one that would come and slit our throat in the night, rape our wives, cut our children down, burn down our properties and take possession of our land..because they are on a mission which we stupid southerners due to our hatred for one another refuse to see.....I dont know if we all lack focus...The Yorubas and the igbos are all guilty of hate speech and tribalism. You are not any better better. We dont know how to look out for one another and seems unconcern as long as it does not affect of ethnic tribes. |

resurgentxtian4: Let Buhari come for a 2nd term and let’s see who suffers more. You are in the process of successfully alienating the very same people who can help you get rid of Buhari.
I am a Christian and I know that this Government has not tried but i wont be railroaded by igbo blackmail to accept responsibility for Buhari’s actions. If anything, I would double down on my Support for him to spite the igbo. Now imagine what Muslims that are Yorubas feel about igbos’ behavior for the past 3 years. Insults and divisive rhetoric employed by the igbos will not get them anywhere. Rather, it will further earn them more enemies in Nigeria’s political space.
This is not the way to build consensus about any issue. We (the South) are giving Buhari is free pass to Aso rock for another 4 years just because the Igbos want to see yorubas suffer.
If Yorubas truly suffer in Nigeria as the igbos fervently pray for, the Nigeria we all have will cease to exist.
If igbos want to really see yorubas suffer, they should come out and challenge us in a war, bomb our cities and claim responsibility for it etc....
Stop wishing evil on Yorubas behind key pads and in the corner of your face me, I face you rooms in yorubaland ( most igbos live in Yorubaland).
God will never give igbos the satisfaction to see yorubas suffer. Igbos should get over the civil war defeat. You are a southerner and you should key into the vision of the southern region which is progressive in nature.why all this bickering? is it necessary? why don't we southerners see how we can put our differences aside and reason together on how we can form a greater alliance just like the Northerners, to vote in someone that would actualize our request for a restructured and progressive Nigeria..all this show power and hostilities among ourselves will not do us any good..our fathers did it and we should learn from them...put all this bickering aside and use that energy to champion a course that people can key into for a better Nigeria.. we southerners too greedy, selfish, proud and arrogant that is the reason the North will continue to rule over us until we apply maturity in relating with one another. If you re vote in Buhari, of what good would it to you and you unborn children, will you tell them that you re voted for Buhari again just because of comment from some faceless people that you cannot see ( they might just be children/Teenagers having fun behind the screen and you are getting worked up by that,...you can do better than this my Guy. |

Uglyboy: You are more dumb because you don't know that the person that is the head of the family matter most.
I can tell you that if Dasuki and Diazani served under Buhari that they wouldn't have be able to use Buhari head like the way they used Jonathan head.
The Most important thing is that BUHARI is not your clueless Jonathan and this old PDP members now in APC can not try rubbish under Buhari like they were doing in PDP.
If Buhari know,he will surely show them the way out of his government and that is the difference. Jonathan is clueless..That was why he was voted out.and we needed APC correct the wrong..but what have we had since then.. un-ending blame game without any solution on how to uplift the life of the people that voted Buhari in power.Rather what we see is favoritism toward his Hausa/Fulani..his kins men..and more more leverage for colony to be created across the nation just for them.after maiming & killing.innocent women and children..without any condemnation from your murderous president,But it matters not has long as it is APC in power it no problem, they are seen to do no wrong..The only thing ingrained in your DNA is blame game like your APC master..you know why? because you all lack vision and a good sense of direction on how to lead Nigeria; As for you the foot soldier..i feel sorry for you..especially if you are young, then it would have been better to beg God to give you some sense to be in touch with reality..because you guys are becoming pretty annoying and your comment are unbelievable even in the face of injustice, death, hunger and nepotism..It ok Jonathan was voted out for his inefficiency in handling corruption and I consider PDP as a party of recycled rogues who have nothing to offer ..but you telling us that your so called APC is a saint ( remember 70 APC Members are from PDP)...hahaha..pot calling kettle black situation make me wonder how on earth you got to this mental state ..blind follower ship..? i wonder if that is the right word or just plain stupidity. If you feel an old man Buhari is the best we hv got out 180 million Nigerian leave me speechless and baffled.Be you an Hausa/Fulani or a die hard fan from any of the other tribes..I dont care..Nigeria and better life for her people first before any bloody party or Cabals..and we the youth must look out for competent hands devoid ethnic/religious sentiment..to lead us out of this mess that we have found ourselves and not this show of shame that you stand here to defend.that is all i have to say.. |

If Baba wants to contest, then let him contest
If the people don't want Baba again, then let them use the power of their votes to send Baba parking
At least, that will show whether they the masses really want him or not

Validated: THINKING ALOUD.
In the fullness of our present realities, we need to cooperate with President Muhammadu Buhari to complete his term of office on May 29th, 2019 and collectively prepare the way for new generation leaders to assume the mantle of leadership of the country. While offering this advice, I speak as a stakeholder, former president, concerned Nigerian and a patriot who desires to see new paradigms in our shared commitment to get this country running. While saying this also, I do not intend to deny President Buhari his inalienable right to vote and be voted for, but there comes a time in the life of a nation, when personal ambition should not override national interest. This is the time for us to reinvent the will and tap into the resourcefulness of the younger generation, stimulate their entrepreneurial initiatives and provoke a conduce environment to grow nationalz economy both at the micro and macro levels.- IBB My best part. The guy make sense sha. |

The so called youths can no longer reason beyond their noses. They have become extremely partisan without any ability to think or make use of their brain to decipher what is true, they will rather crucify the messenger rather than seeing the truth in what is being said. It is better now unlike before. Now we have more criticism than in the early days of Buhari...the whole of Nairaland would have been on fire with those for and against .At least from what i have read so far the die hard zombies are not as many as before. They are really holding on to ensure they defend their kins man..most of them are Hausa/Fulanis'..so they will never see anything wrong with this administration. |

.. Anyway, continue.... But note this, the voice of the people is the voice of God. The people don't want Buhari anymore and God will step in as he has started.
All churches in Nigeria will make sure their members do not vote for Buhari as they have started giving off alarms... OBJ has started a move, IBB has thrown his weight behind OBJ, Abdul Salami will do his in coming days. Exactly same game play that took place in 2015 against GEJ is playing a repeat/remix of that game. The king makers have spoken.
Middle belt is lost already.... Niger state which is IBB will not give Buhari shiiit, South South and South East will not disappoint. South West will do same... I dont know about south west..it will be a divided vote ..so many Tinubu fans would vote Buhari because that is what Tinubu is selling..they will vote for who ever Tinubu brings forward. |

LordAdam16: I know they're insincere. And it's all politics.
But #4 is the most important. We should go back to regions or provinces that will be semi-independent, like Swiss Cantons. SIX in total. That is fundamental. For example, NW province may decide to create grazing reserves and make Friday a work-free day, while the SS province may decide to ban open grazing in all forms and stick to the Saturday/Sunday weekend structure.
If we get the structure wrong, we would only complicate the situation.
More importantly, we should have sociologists, social scientists, public planners, economists; basically people who know what they're doing be in charge of working out a sound structure that is inherently Nigerian. I do not want these sniveling, crooked politicians; their uneducated minions; and loud-mouthed, empty-headed social commenters (which comprise most of the people on NL Politics Section and in the real world who have no clue and can't even research even if their lives depended on it).
We should not model ours after another country. We can pick workable parts of the structure of other countries. But the structure we develop MUST be indigenous to represent the unique situation in Nigeria and take into account our diversity, demography, religious dichotomy, population explosion among other things.
-Lord Nice..now i believe matured minded a making comment now..Good comment. |

baby124: Regional is better. A lot of these 36 states are not viable on their own.
Derivation should be a 70% to the state and 30% to run the government.
Each region can elect a leader who can sit on a council with other regional leaders.
We can share one army with equal representation from all regions.
Independent candidacy can be encouraged but let it be on a regional level to represent each region on a council. Regions will pay the representatives expenses and not the country.
Legislative should be handled on the regional level. All regions should have their own laws which are binding.
Only thing council votes on is wars, resolving conflicts, economic strategy, borders. These are the only policies a federal government should be concerned with and fund. An army, immigration service and a border force. 30% revenue is enough for that. At the maximum 40%. Nice one..but how can this get to them..they need things like this from the member of the public..that is if they are genuinely doing this or just becos of the election.God help us. |
