May God forgive you for this post and still clear the way for the MAN you truly want to be with to come to you because no self-respecting woman will take you.

EDIT

Ebeyehi, I support those that praised you for your maturity. Normal instinct is to lamblast this stupid fool guy for his statements and his proceeding lack of remorse but you replied in a humble, sensible and mature manner. God bless you jore!

eyeshadow,
oracle99, your english teacher should be shot.

Please don't choke me with laugh! I was drinking water when I read this now my keyboard is ruined!

All the guys that responded apologizing on behalf of this oracle,

Thank you. You give us good Naija girls hope that ARE good Naija guys out there and God willing we will meet.

All the guys that support this thing or express solidarity for its obviously malicious and ignorant words,

I no know wetin to tell una sha but may good girls never jam you since all you see when you look at Naija girls is similar to what this thing sees. Yes there are women losing their morals and respect for themselves all over Naija and the world in fact but there are also the good ones who are comporting themselves gracefully, responsibly and ethically in a world that is quickly losing its morality. Labelling all womenfolk in the degrading manner this thing adopted is not acceptable any place, any time, any where.

God bless you all.

Romance / Re: I'm Not Comfortable With My Baby's New Job - What Do I Do? by omoovie(f): 3:54pm On May 22, 2008
Her reaction might have been based on the way you approached her about the job. No offense but Naija men often have this daddy-ish way of telling their gfs not to do something like, "I forbid you to do it! How dare you do it?". The girl's instinctive reaction will be you, "you forbid wetin? (hiss)" se you get? Try seating her down if you truly love this girl and are worried for her wellbeing and explain to her in a reasonable manner why you are worried about her taking this job. Who knows? She may be thinking you are just making noise because you want to control her or because you think air hostesses are bimbos. If you explain to her it's coming from a place of love and fear for her safety am sure she will understand. Also, suggest and help her find an alternative job-wise because as situation be for Naija she may be seeing this as her only opportunity. Good luck to you both!
Politics / Re: California's Top Court Legalizes Gay Marriage by omoovie(f): 11:51pm On May 21, 2008
Abegi, gay people are the least of our problems! California has been full of gay people since the 1920s. There is an actual tribe in Papua New Guinea (around Australia I think) that has been have "unnatural friendships" aka gay guys for centuries. Homosexuality is not new in so many cultures around the globe. Naija get bigger issues to confront than that nonsense. If d next question na if na my family nko? Eh-hen and so? DHL d relation abroad where dem go dey very free to do wetin dem want focus on d issues wey dey face naija! Haba. all d way to California. Na dis b our problem - deviation from the goal and lack of cohesion. Who cares if gay people can now marry? There are worse things - like "transgenders" embarassedlipsrsealed around!

Hahahahah! Na boju boju them dey do oh! LOL. On a serious note sha I think what someone said earlier of them combining all these drugs while having such bad health and karma is what is causing them all this trouble. Everyone in Jando knows not to combine a stimulant (the red bulls and energy drinks) and a depressant (the alcohol) at the same time @ least excessively (there are some idiots here too). The combination of both speeds up and slows down your heart simultaneously of course induces a heart attack in someone with bad health and a predisposition to heart conditions. On top of that the mumu probably ingested a sexual stimulant (Viagra) as well. Noooot good. Ihn evil don catch am! ROFLMAO!

God am sorry for laughing at somebody's death it's not funny. Sorry papa.

elizabetta,

No it's not cherry. Thanks though. I remember cherry but its not it. It's these small small black furry pods that come in a bunch (like american grapes). The inside is orange and tartly sweet and the seeds are like super tiny stones.
Foreign Affairs / Re: Boycott South Africa! Boycott Dstv, Mtn Etc! See What They Did To Your Brothers! by omoovie(f): 4:02pm On May 21, 2008
Mpele from this:

I'm South African and guys I'm also so ashamed of what is happening here. Most of the people who are doing this are the poor ones, who feel that foreigners are taking their jobs and also contributing to the hifh crime levels. Well some are contributing to the crime levels and also drugs, but that does not justify what's happening here today. Pres Mbeki and former Pres Nelso Mandela has also condemned the xenophobic attacks.

The government is now going to send the army into the township to deal with the barbaric thugs who killed people. Guys please not all of us are like that. I've lived with Nigerian, Ghanaian, Ivorian brothers for 6 years now and they're all great people. I've been to Accra and Abuja and now I'm scared to come back there because now I don't know how you gusys are going to treat me. Not all South Africans are bad,  both Black and White.

I SINCERELY APOLOGIZE FOR WHAT IS HAPPENING TO YOUR PEOPLE IN OUR COUNTRY.

And this:

By the way guys I'll be coming to Abuja on the 1st of June when Bafana Bafana takes on the Super Eagles. I'll come back to South Africa on the 4th. That means I'll have 2 days to tour Abuja. I'm looking foward to the trip. My dream will be finally realised. I;ve been dreaming of visiting Nigeria especially Lagos. I've only been to Dakar in Senegal and Accra in Ghana. Hopefully the two giants will rise to the occasion. They must justify their giant status as they only won the AFRICAN CUP of Nations three times between themselves (Nigeria 2 times, South Africa once).

Looking foward to seeing some fine ladies there.

To this:

Londoner is right, if our government does'nt act South Africa will have a civil war. Signs are already there. For instance the Sotho speaking group is found in SA and Lesotho, the Tswana group in SA and Botswana, the Shaangans in both SA and Mozambique and the Ndebele and the Zulus are also found in Zimbabwe. This means that we are attacking our brothers. Even now Ndebele South Africans are being attacked.

South African Indians who are approx; 4 Million have had a good relationship with black South Africans, but now guese what? they are now also being attacked by these raging lunatics. I'm saying that it should happen but I ask myself on why white people are not attacked. I'm telling you if white people where attacked, Britain and the USA would've been the first to condemn. Our government would've unleashed the army into the townships.

Now they're just saying oh! these are lowly litttle Africans, (Lets just send in a bunch of policemen with rubber bullets). This country used to be in the good hands of the white government and also Nelson Mandela. To tell the truth, our lives used to be so nice during the apartheid era. I was born in that era, and I'm telling you, we used to move freely, no crime to speak of. During the white government the influx of foreigners was controlled. Nigerians who were here, were the ones who came to work. For instance I can't just come to Nigeria without a purpose. I must come there to contribute to the economic growth of the country.

And these:

You can voice your anger in anyway you like about the attacks. You can insult us anyway you like, but hands off the 2010 wolrd cup. If want to see war then just try to temper with it. Sepp Blatter made it clear on Monday that the world cup is on full steam. I'm beginning to see an element of jealousy from Nigerians about the world cup. If Nigerians don't like the fact that 2010 is coming here then tough luck! If you say the world cup must be taken away from us then where should it go, to your country. Nigeria can't even host the AFRICAN CUP OF NATIONS.

THERE WORLD CUP WILL GO ON. GET THAT INTO YOUR THICK SKULLS

Apartheid was bad but at least there level of crime was low, there was no electricity powercuts and we didn't have so many illegal immigrants. We wouldn't have such problems now if we had a white president or Mandela was still the president. Our borders were opened and South Africans were not warned that the whole of Africa is coming this side. You must understand that many South Africans don't know anything about Africa. They don't even know where is Nigeria located or Ghana or Egypt. They actually don't give a damn about Africa. Ask any South African teenager about Africa you'll be horified. The government should have taught our people about Africa and Africans in general.

[b]
It is now obvious you are of the same position as those people in your country mutilating, destroying and killing their fellow blacks by virtue of rampant xenophobia and pointless, senseless hatred. You just think you are better than them because you have a better education or didn’t join them to break houses, burn human beings and rape foreign women. Your onion layers are slowly peeling away and it is getting clearer and clearer to me that the same disease of xenophobia that is worrying your country has tainted you too. That same ball of hate and “kolomentality” resides in your gut. It may have built as a result of so many years of oppression and apartheid but it is rebounding on the brothers and sisters who stood with you when you were oppressed. May God help all of you in SA and may God help us Nigerians too because crappy as our country is (and this is an understatement), loud, pessimistic and passive-in-the-face-of-trauma-or-injustice as we are we do not deserve to be treated the way we are treated at home and abroad. Obviously the black man’s mind is a fickle one steadfastly claiming temporary amnesia when it suits him and caving to whoever is in power lacking cohesion and solidarity when it is most necessary. I'm addicted to apples, mangos (esp dried mango slices! OMG! Yum!), blueberries, pineapple (depends) and guava (depends, I have to be in the mood) but have to have a banana when I just wake up with a bad mood or I feel down. It always perks me up. They say it's because of the high potassium content in Bananas. Aaaaaa---I love fruit.

EDIT

Somebody mentioned soursop! I love that stuff men! Can't get it here though :-(. Also what's the name of that fruit with the stone like seeds? It's tweeny tweeny black furry pods on a bunch like grapes and it's orange inside. The seed is usually brown and some kids use them to do ludo. Please som1 tell me. I also love ugege, african apple (those pink and white ones), boiled corn, abelebo (LOVED that stuff growing up!), almonds and cashew nuts! Oh and fresh from the tree cocoa! Wow! I really like fruit! SENATOR JD:

trust me omoovie we wont take  Nigerian ladies for granted, they contribute marvelously to the economy.have always trusted the judgement and leadership of women(a few though).

Thank you jo. I know for a fact Naija women have their own kwanto! Lord knows I probably drive my poor brother crazy with my biases, general razness and obstinacy but Nigerian women are Nigerians too and it's going to take both the men and the women to move the nation forward.

It might take 300 years to fix the psyche of nigerians (and change its leaders! Please father help us remove those cartel of AGBEROS!) to get them to move in the direction we need to be moving because let's face it we are a mulish set of people but I think once we move in the right direction it will take less than 50 years.

Xiomarra I think you make an excellent point- which is Nigerians we complain too much and don't do anything. With all the money and expertise we have abroad, we cannot change anything back home. Our govt gets away with what they do because we let them. And running away from Nigeria doesn't solve the problem.

So Xiomarra, what do suggest Nigerians abroad do, to solve the problem in their country. What action plan can we follow, what do you propose? Let's tackle just one problem at a time.

Mubaraqqq, please see my topic and post your views/solutions there --- https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-135561.0.html

STF up or down you fool!  Woe has already betided and betode you!  I am hyperventilating? So what is your business.  If I die typing on Nairaland how would you know?  From the native chalk under your pillow or what?  It is only morons like you who can hyperventilate on Nairaland.  Please go and look for real employment.  Form the way your name sounds you an only end up as one Ibori or Igbinedion concubine.  Idiot! If you type my name again I will track you down and use those your willow rope titties to strangle you after giving you the slaps of you life.
Proclivity ko, proClitoris ni!

Omo-voodoo!!!!

hahahahahaha! Oh Jah Heavenly king! You just proved my point. You ARE a smallie just learning to use big grammar and insults. I think I'll walk away from this one. I don't engage small children in verbal combat, my tongue is too sharp a blade to be misused.

Look here Osisi,

I say I respect myself and any the laws of any country I visit.  Most Nigerians do well abroad only a hand full of lawless, ill-brought up vagabonds from polygmous home who raised themselves in motor parks without roof tops, come rain come shine half naked like mad people.  How will they not get roasted for 419 and petty thievery? Disgracing Nigeria about.

Are you not abroad?  Why have you not been roasted like sallah ram?  I say the foreign countries are helping to get rid of the useless Nigerians in our midst.  I can't thank them enough. Nigerians deserve what they get outside and inside Nigeria because they are useless.

Nonsense!

That's exactly what everyone is saying -- not condoning ANY type of crime but why should 419 and petty thievery be the justifiable cause for murder? So MURDER is now more morally acceptable than 419 and petty thievery? With one there is loss of money, with the other loss of life. Tell me which is greater, money or life?
Foreign Affairs / Re: Boycott South Africa! Boycott Dstv, Mtn Etc! See What They Did To Your Brothers! by omoovie(f): 4:19pm On May 20, 2008
Xiomarra:

And woe betide your grandmother's crooked pussy and your grandfather's bent deek!

You sound like a small child just learning to use insults for the first time. Please be careful. You're hyperventilating! Remember black people have more of a proclivity to hypertension. Don't give yourself a heart attack, k?

oziomatv:

I think there is sense in what xiomarra is saying,
We Nigerians we don't have home, we get killed even in a place we belongs and call home. It's time we carry out a bloody revelution to stop this political rapes we encounter in Nigeria. We should been better off living in our own land.   No matter how comfortable I'm living in abroad am not welcomed by the natives of the land.
Let's face the truth for once.

Funny thing is oziomatv, I actually am of a similar opinion and see the threads of sense in what xiomarra sometimes says and I think so are most Nigerians. We all know our country is in the pits. That's why most of us got the hell out of there. And I truly believe we DO need some sort of intense revolution (hopefullly bloodless). Like you I don't feel welcomed by the natives and y should I? It's not my country. It can never be my home. Like my Indian friends always say (they are also emigrating from their country en masse! You can find an Indian in every continent just like us!) Chennai and Hyperadabad is crappy as hell but there's no place like home. I am facing the truth. I mentioned earlier we NEED to fix our country. But people like Xiomarra who constantly shout and yell and rain insults will not and are not the people to help fix this country because all they see, all they feel, all they are is pessimism and to fix the insurmountable problems facing our country we need people with an inexhaustable amount of hope, optimism and courage.
