well, I took United to Nigeria last week and it was O.K, except the fact that they stopover in Ghana and everyone has to leave the Plane, file into a waiting room in the Accra airport, wait for 30 minutes or more for more passengers from Ghana to continue the trip to Lagos. They were quite efficient and on time with good on-board service. |

Thanks Dad! Sweet! no need to explain how a couple million dollars found its way into my account. |

Did immigration find your lost passport? or you mean a new passport to replace the lost one? |
What a genius Gbenga Ashiru is! I guess he will set up a committee and come out with a seven point agenda on how to reciprocate. |
kadman:In The full show on NBC there was a scene where his jail mug shot photo and his NIGERIAN PASSPORT with his real name was displayed. |
Yeah, I just saw the show. Mr Jeffrey Grant the diplomat A.K.A Kenneth Ojua. It's amazing someone could be so bold to try such a ridiculous scam while living in the U.S. This is not helping Nigeria's image at all. http://www.greenvilledragnet.com/shocka-nigerian-email-scam-originates-in-greenville/ |
The shocker would have been if any of the children had an ounce of DNA from her. |
frankkky:I am not saying you do not have valid points, in fact you are very much correct on the aspect of putting unnecessary information (Home address for example) and those that make idiotic comments on Facebook that can get them in trouble with the law or even their employers. The point I was trying to point across is that telling people not to post their kids pictures or personal pictures on Facebook is not the issue, since Facebook was created to share your pictures in the first place. The issue is controlling the privacy settings so that not every Tom, Hitler and harry can access your page. I made the statement "you might as well ask people to keep their kids at home" to illustrate the point that even going out with your kids involves risk and if you say because i don't want strangers to see my kids pictures on Facebook, are there no strangers outside when you go shopping or visit the beach or wherever you go with your family? ( hope you get my analogy this time). The same way when you go out with your kids you watch over them, that is the same way you use the privacy and security settings on Facebook to keep your page safe. |
These old pictures of Nigeria looks like a country about to become a super-power in few years time. If only the regions had remained the way they were, with the central government having no concentration of powers things would have turned out really different in Nigeria. West doing their own thing, East doing their own thing, north doing their own, there would have been no need for a civil war, each region will be innovative and look inwards to sources of wealth, anyways it's too late now. |
frankkky:You can as well tell people to not allow their kids to step out of the house. Putting your family pictures on facebook is not the issue, there are privacy settings that allows only the friends you added on facebook to view your pictures, and if as you claim the guy was not on their friends list and he somehow hacked into their facebook then facebook or no facebook any serial killer can monitor a victim by standing in a public park, shopping mall, grocery store, anywhere. As long as you don't put your home address on your facebook profile, and you monitor the people you add as friends then the issue you described above is completely random. I am sure you have heard of the phone hacking scandal rocking the U.K, anybody can hack your phone and listen to your voicemail or messages by just knowing some basic hacking skills. Your emails are not safe either, so do we stop using technology because of random threats? All it takes is common sense by following simple privacy rules like this http://www.wikihow.com/Protect-Your-Private-Information-on-Facebook |
How can you write a story about a new airport opening to commercial flights and not a single current picture of the airport as at THE TIME OF PUBLICATION I see a picture of the airport in March and no picture in July or even June. What kind of newspaper is that? I'm sure they have a reporter based in Asaba or Benin or Warri, so none of them could take a one or two hour bus ride at most to take some pics? na wao. |
Nice to see a survey that we are not placed among the worst. |

Can any one tell me what the procedure is for getting the E-Passport in Lagos? I thought there was a passport office in Ikeja? but I only saw Ikoyi and Festac on the Nigerian Immigration Service website for Lagos. Also the website says payment for the E-passport can only be made online, no payment allowed at the office or anywhere. Can anyone who has done there E-passport recently in Lagos verify if you can make payment at their office? and also how long does it typically take to get the E-passport done in lagos? |
That's a bit confusing. If you travel to the U.K with your America passport, all good, but if you use your Nigerian Passport to leave the U.K, how will the U.K immigration know you left? there will be nothing on their system to indicate the "American" that came visa free actually left they will only have a departure for a Nigerian. I guess you need to find out more from the experts. |
I must say Paris is a lovely city to visit on vacation. I enjoyed my time there. Like Jesoul said walking is one of the best ways to enjoy Paris, from the Lovre to eiffel tower and numerous restaurants and shopping places, its a tourist delight. Don't forget to take one of the cruises on river seine too. Since you have kids coming along it would be worthwhile taking the train to disney land in Serris (about 45 minutes or so from Paris). The train passes through nice little cute towns, and serris is a beautiful little city too, I'm sure your kids and even you and your wife would not forget the experience. You can take a look at the lonely planet guide on Paris for names and locations of restaurants and other things to do in and around Paris. http://www.lonelyplanet.com/france/paris/travel-tips-and-articles/1595 |

What is keeping them? if populated states like Lagos can announce the results in one day why not Delta state? |
This is why free and fair elections are very important. You know you can only remain in power when you perform not by kissing a godfather's a.rse |

One thing these guys fail to understand is that trying to defend your culture or ethnic group by insulting another persons culture is re.tarded. |
wow! vicjustice I hope you copied and pasted that! That is the problem with the Islamic religion, too many violent messages in their so called holy book which justifies most of the atrocities being committed by their followers. It would be virtually impossible to live in peace with so much Muslims in Nigeria, we really need to go the way of India and Pakistan. |
