Because of these real-life examples: 3A man in my Mum's church decided his "side peace of mind" needed to be promoted to Main Woman. His pregnant wife became Enemy No1 and one day, in an insane rage, picked up the newborn and flung the baby across the room In every one of those cases I know of, DNA test was weaponised by a Man trying to get rid of his Wife and Family. There was never any basis for the mistrust. Which is what will happen for most men: I recall a poster here last year that kept creating topics asking people to look at his baby daughter to see if she was really his, because the girl was fair and he was dark. No other reason. Even if na joke, the devil is waiting by the corner to take advantage. In the few cases that there was Paternity fraud, the men quietly checked their suspicions rather than go destroy their families first. Nedu wasn't fighting his wife, it was information from the past or medicals that made him get DNA test and find paternity fraud. When you find yourself reasoning your mind into getting a DNA test, check well: it's because seeds of discord have been planted in your heart against your wife. |
kannymoore:The type of Iron the body absorbs is a soluble Iron, it can dissolve in our bloodstream. The type of Iron in physical metal is non-soluble, cannot dissolve properly and is finished with heavy metals which end up poisoning your liver over time. For example, because people in the US are drinking more vitamin supplements daily that they don't need (which some are metals your body produces in smaller quantities), they're also having higher organ failure. Your body needs Magnesium but if you swallow a battery to try and get extra Magnesium, you're dead. And I shouldn't have read this now, I ate doughnuts like mad on Friday and I'm now about to eat Indomie😔😭 |
jmoore:Ahhhhhh |
I don't want us to qualify this way. DR Congo won us fair and square on the pitch and that's all that matters. If we had played better and taken it seriously, there would no talk of this. Let Congo advance. NFF and Super Eagles Coaching Squad should lose their bonuses as punishment and anyone who complains should be sacked summarily. Football in Nigeria needs serious overhaul and discipline |
TheDepressed:Step 1: ignore almost every comment on this thread Step 2: listen to Brodalikeme's comment. He made a lot of sense Step 3: never, ever use the words "accepting her back will be learning to know and train her again". Once you married her, you two became equal and ONE. If you think I'm lying, go and read your bible. Step 4: get rid of all the silly thoughts in your head. She's not cheating (not yet), you definitely have slept with someone during this period (so you're guilty). Stop looking for people to tell you you're a good person and she's a terrible person, divorce her etc. All of us will leave you alone and move on after encouraging you to divorce and your wife will remarry and that 2 yr old will call another man "Daddy" and if you kidnap the kids to avoid that, she will carry police to arrest you and add wahala to your problems. Step 5: attend the burial respectfully. If you're a good person, you'll do the right thing even if your wife or her siblings are not doing the right thing. That's what God asks us all to do: stop making excuses to misbehave because the other person misbehaved first. Step 6: seriously, listen to Brodalikeme and bury your pride. Send him message off Nairaland. Log out now off NL before you get stupid advice and blow your very fixable marriage up. Or you'll join millions of men who did exactly what you did, blew up their marriages, dust has settled and now they're regretting, even if they remarried. If you have sense, please screenshot everything Brodalikeme said and log out asap. Right now. Before devil wakes up the rest of NL to help you scatter your children's lives. |
pocohantas:They love her because she's not opening his dirty laundry in public. He does that so well already on his own. I don't understand his lack of self-control. I have a feeling that Tuface and Annie crashed out mutually and both wanted out of their marriage, then both suffered for it (he hid it with new rushed marriage and she lost a ton of weight). And now, dust will be settling small small, eyes will be clearing and both beginning to regret. |
GloriousGbola:I realized it last year: Nigerian society isn't built on Love. So it will be very difficult for Step-parenting to work here. And children are difficult for even their own biological parents. Because I compared 2nd Marriage anecdotal gist in Nigeria to 2nd Marriage anecdotal gist in the USA and omo! In general, Nigerian women were not bred to love another woman's child. The best you could hope for was polite tolerance and "please stay with your Father and leave me alone when you're around, I am not your mother. Nigerian medical people wanted to ask my classmate if and how she would love her child that she had through Surrogacy, even though it was her egg used so it was biological hers. Nigerian women that will say "the child I adopted is misbehaving" and return that child back to the village or orphanage, from the USA. A few were trying but I know understand why my brother said if anything happened to his wife, he would never remarry. Even me, that I'm very good with kids because of my profession, I'm not sure I won't snap once in a while. I realized that most of the 2nd marriages around me where the kids felt comfortable in their father's house, was because the 2nd wife was White or not Nigerian. I don't forgive Nigerian men who remarry and see this, yet keep quiet and hope inside them that one day their kids will understand and forgive them in their old age. The men literally know their new wives cannot stand their kids but will marry them. |
pocohantas:That's the thing: Chioma has made it abundantly clear all these years that she's not planning on doing Stepmother duties. She's no Annie Idibia, who used to host all 2face's kids. So when Davido's daughters all come around, they go to their Grandfather's house and his sisters' houses. I've seen it happen with other men: dating women who keep making it clear that they're not there to take care of his kids. And the man accepts it as the price to keep this person in his life. It's so shocking to me: why would you date and marry a man with children, yet say you're not going to accept his kids? It's worrying the men supporting him simply because it's a Gender War, they would never let their daughters stay in that crowd |
folake4u:Thank you! People in his inner circle were dying anyhow of suspected substance abuse and you're telling me a Judge will give him custody of a 10 year old girl...so that thunder from Heaven will fire the judge straight. I admire Davido's work ethic but his personal life is a shambles. |
Wotowotoman:My brother, I never argue with emotion Abeg make go court, go see something And I have children already and I tell them "I trained you to be intelligent and logical so you won't fall into cheap easy traps laid by people who want to take advantage of you". I've been far too many men fall into cheap, easy traps and decades of pain and suffering, in our family we go gather beat anyone who wants to leave his wife for his "peace of mind" or anyone who impregnates a woman and then starts to tell us how he "never loved her". How much is a condom? Should you be even committing fornication like a wild dog in the first place?? You go collect brain resetting to the point that you'll run into police station and beg olopa to charge you with any crime, just to save you from us ![]() If any of my kids is that daft, you go refund me your school fees money. Abi N3.1mil na joke?? Money to use to flex in Maldives😡 Everyone knows what they're doing, they just believe that the Bible which tells us precisely how the Laws of the Universe work, will change because their case is different. |
SeverusSnape:Very useless!! You'll spend time unrolling the money, when the sender could have made a transfer easily |
Wotowotoman:None of these people I mentioned were poor ![]() One's dad used to have his own page on Wikipedia sef, another one real Gs of Lagos know him (old Lagos money). The thing is, in one of the cases, once the wife started begging the man, his behavior calmed down a bit. Even his family got involved to beg him (everyone knew he was wrong but there was a lot of grace and forgiveness given to him because we knew he wasn't a bad person, just someone who was deeply hurt his marriage had packed up and was listening to bad advice from outsiders). Men and women are emotional, men are told to hide their emotions so it comes out in an unpleasant manner (plus their natural tendency for destruction). When I saw Sophia's brief and the money ahe was asking for, I baulked. But if you look at the Adeleke family, if Imade was living with Davido, that money would be normal for her (just check Nicos and the rest of them lifestyle) Magistrates award child support according to the lifestyle the child would have if the parents were together. They're not going to see a billionaire with a private jet and tell him to pay N100,000 monthly for CS when they know that's just his drinking water bill. And most men refuse the legal judgement in Nigeria, most women move on and then in 20 years time, people are carrying an elderly man and chanting "forgive and forget" (which is biblically wrong). My offer to go to Magistrate court still stands for you o ![]() |
Wotowotoman:Oga, if you knew me, you'd delete this. Me wey don help fight for custody? Which golddigger? Maybe Sophie Momodu and Davido case is different. I know man who accused his estranged wife that she was going to steal using the kids. The wife said nothing, paid what she could, will submit bills and ask him to pay directly to the school or hospital, he was mistrustful. He didn't pay schoolfees but one woman moved in with him, he paid all her bills no matter the lie she told him or her bad behaviour. Even his father was ashamed Or my uncle who denied his flesh and blood for 2 years whilst bankrolling one Igbo girl? He now complains he and his child don't have a good relationship, 24 years later. Another, her baby daddy got married and he stopped paying schoolfees. She said nothing. He came back after 5 years when his wife never conceived and started paying again uptil university There's this lady on X, Olivia, her baby daddy left her and his newborn to stay in unpainted uncompleted building (she posted the pix, they were using wrapper as curtain), whilst his family owned hotels all over the SE and Port Harcourt. He showed up 11 years later, looking for "his daughter", with iPad and gifts because his new wife never conceived Go to Magistrate Court in Lagos, you'll be ashamed of your gender. Running around Lekki carrying babes and buying iPhones for women who will leave once they fall sick or get old, but screaming abuse if the mother of their kids begs them to settle hospital bills. Then the same men will start looking for their kids in old age I have sworn it that if any of my sons act that way, I will use my hands to serve them justice |
Kobicove:Because it was never about the child, Sophia must have angered him again recently. Sophia stated very clearly in her documents that when Davido has sexual access to her, he's always on good behaviour but once she stopped it (because she felt guilty over Chioma), he became nasty again. Men are quite emotional, it was shocking to realize it. Men aren't polygamous, they're just badly behaved. They throw a tantrum, break the relationship and then realise that they wanted it in the first place, rather than admit and humbly beg, you start to see foolish behaviour |
If you know men, and I'm not saying this to bash men, I'm saying this because I've seen it a lot... They only fight for custody when they want to punish their ex and have a way to control her. Men don't process breakups well. And it is not a Nigerian phenomen, even abroad. Abroad, a lot of women in divorce court once they hand their child over for custody and the man realizes that she won't be allowing him use the kids to fight her, they get tired and start looking for another way to control and hurt her. Davido wanted to punish Sophia. Which is why this nonsense came up I'm 99% positive that the reason Davido's family was quiet was because they had access to Imade anytime and Davido's case had no leg to stand on. I know a Nigerian man in this situation and it's only gullible people who don't know his wife believe him when he says she's kept the kids away: his family literally chat up with the wife on social media, his friend was getting updates. He only fights for custody when he's feeling hurt or needs his ego stroked. We're tired of him. His idiotic prideful bluster that he was dealing with the lawyer in court but decided to drop the case is just typical male ego face saving foolishness. I don't understand why men do it and I have sons, so I'm scared one day they'll be foolish like this. |
Kaczynski:Thanks for this. Omo, I cannot believe Greensprings let that happen! I've seen a similar issue with some primary schools in Lekki: everyone was paying the same school fees but some were favorites because they were friends with the Proprietor. Human Nature always finds a way to corrupt everything. Loyola and several top schools allegedly had a substance abuse issue with some kids because Nigeria is awash with substance abuse. And it has become a school for rich kids in Abuja, so they may start seeing those issues too. There isn't a cheap Catholic school anywhere in Nigeria, fees are at least N1mil per annum now. My sister wasn't picking those schools for names tbh (nobody cares about that because it's dumb, after all Abacha, Ojukwu, Igbinedion and Abiola were once names that commanded clout, but where are they now ), we were looking at the best way to get the child prepared for school abroad. Greensprings mentioned their alumni doing well abroad and has a reputation for being a good STEM school.I've never heard of Deeper Life college. What you're saying has merit, but at the same time there's some challenges to being the kids above the rest of the students' social standing. I learned it the hard way myself and with my kids (the Primary school my kids go to, I could have sworn we were all of the same financial standing as it's the most expensive school around, but the kids picked up on the fact that my kids have foreign accents and seem to have a different lifestyle than theirs and it's been 2-3 years of unfriendliness. It didn't help that they're academically on top as well). |
Kaczynski:Forreal? Abeg share more please. My sister wants to send her quiet child to one of them. How bad is the bullying? I heard even Charterhouse had a bullying problem recently |
If someone can help him with a laptop and some data, he should start doing some Computer Science work to get experience and also go into teaching kids Coding. If he can join one of the online tutors, at least start with N5k/hour and then move up (at least N20k per hour per child). |
Ghaliz:Ukraine isn't conscripting the foreigners, they're telling soldiers who want to fight to come and sign up. Even some Americans went there at the beginning. They have money to pay mercenaries because the West is funding them). Russia (which doesn't have as much funds as possible) is straight up lying to these guys. One of the Nigerian victims was told it was a job in Dubai, UAE. Then Russians took him once he got there. Similar stories abound: they know most people are no longer gullible to fall for a "job in Russia" story, so now they're using Arabs and African agents to sell "a job in UAE or the Middle East". I'm surprised Pakistanis, Senegalese or Nigeriens haven't been recruited but I doubt Europe wants the additional wahala of training Muslims or Hindis from unstable countries. Or maybe we're not just hearing about their own scams and casualties. It's so imperative Africa must work, all this nonsense must stop. |
anonimi:The Nigeria I live in, 27 hours of light in one day! ![]() Tarred roads everywia! ![]() Working infrastructure allover! ![]() |
No light in 3 days ![]() I'm ready to vex yinkus6750:Nigeria keeps frustrating new investors. I know this because an American company wanted to come in some years ago and they ran away. Our levels of corruption are mind-boggling. Contracts that should have at least 20% indigenous ownership, will be made to be crony capitalism, squeezed until youe unsure of profits and constant threats upon your head if you don't comply; and how you'll be worried your investment will go to waste. |
letskeeptalking:Oya, go back and read my post again, I completed it now And don't listen to anyone telling you, that you'll be lonely forever whilst he's balling. Na lie! Both of you will be so utterly miserable and sad that you didn't make it work Remember one reply you got here: he thinks of his ex daily and checks on her, even with a pregnant new wife |
Joeadamxx thank you for your contribution. Letskeeptalking, you should read his advice a lot. Most separated and divorced people won't want to be truly open, even on a faceless forum. There are 4 big R's in Life: 1. Resentment: this is what you feel right now. You're boiling with it. The one thing you've mentioned that's really bad is "he's manipulative and acts like a Saint outside" and "he tried to manipulate me into a 3sum". Those are big red flags and sadly very common for men going through a Midlife crisis. Your statements "he's a narcissist" and "he refuses to grow"... I'm going to say something shocking: neither are probably true. Why? I've heard those lines a lot and till now that person cannot define exactly what they meant about their spouse. Just pure resentment or midlife crisis or crazy emotions. There are so many "narcissists that refuse to grow" nowadays that the only people qualified to diagnose those traits, serious Psychiatrists and Psychologists, should insist couples wean themselves off Social media (which is badly influencing everything) before they work with you. 2. Regret: "mannn I screwed up. I made bad mistakes, poor choices and here are the consequences of my actions. I'll probably never be forgiven and I cannot trust that forgiveness when it comes. No-one will ever know I regret this". The Prodigal Son didn't end up in a ditch until years later. Regret is a slow growing tree. Remorse: "I really hurt this person". Remorse is good, but it won't lead to lasting change. Your husband showed you remorse and that's why you came back, before. Repentance: "Heavenly Father, I have sinned against You. I cannot forgive myself and neither will my spouse. Please give me Your grace. I will not hurt this spouse again because to hurt them is to hurt You". This is where Change starts. Love is what motivates us to change. Love is a choice. Choose to love God. Seriously. Choose to love a husband or choose to walk away, that's your choice. Whatever you do, give him to God in repentance daily. Give yourself to God in repentance daily. And watch the miracle happen. I don't know what will happen or what it will look like, but it will be good. (Yes, I believe Feminism should exist because Patriarchy exists and both are 2 sides of a broken tarnished coin, neither belongs in the kingdom of Heaven). |
Their final destination was most likely not Iraq, they're using Iraq to enter the country of their choice through a land border or by air. So they were most likely heading to UAE, Qatar or Saudi Arabia. As Libya route is now too risky for them, they've opened up a new route. |
Lamanii22:Because these pitiful creatures want to inflict as much pain as possible, as much horror as they feel on the inside. They feel ""why should you all be happy, when I'm so sad, crazy and pain?". |
I just got an update, one of my packages has cleared customs and is now with the local carrier. Courier is Speedaf, the rest items are still saying "Import Customs Clearances started", since a week ago. I think FAAN and cargo clearing agents have come to an agreement. Because I read an article yesterday that said cargo bay was getting full. To be honest, FAAN didn't try: they have kept clearing rates at N7 for almost 2 decades and then decided to change it to N25 rapidly. They should have changed it to N10 and gradually by end of the year hit N25, giving operators enough time to inform their clients that delivery fees will go up. |
Adebayolove:chai! I'm still waiting on all my packages and I need them urgently. And there's nothing that can be done... |
Quality control of a lot of the Nigerian pharmaceutical/ medical firms is poor though. I was prescribed cough medicines and pain syrup for children for the last 2 week: almost all of them had bad packaging (bottle covers not closing well, causing the syrups to leak once opened). And we're not even talking about efficacy of the medicine itself |
mikejones07:I will tell you one personal painful story and depending on how things go, tell you another personal painful story. Story 1: My neighbour had 2 kids and was perfectly happy, financially doing well (he worked with a foreign company, his wife worked for another foreign company). Everything was smooth and then his wife started mentioning Baby no.3. Man had already made plans for his future so he shut down the wife's plans. But somehow, she got pregnant. And their marriage nearly packed up. He was so filled with anger and resentment at her, daily fighting for months. My mum used to settle quarrel daily. Anyway, Wife gave birth and this man stayed but kept misbehaving in his marriage. Eventually he calmed down and returned back to his senses. Years later, everything was going even better for him. One day, we were outside together. The man's first son was playing in a field on the other street. He slumped and died. No warning. Even me, I couldn't even cry. All of us were thrown into grief. No parent wants to bury a child, especially a 15 year old boy. Now, this man is older, money still dey come. He told my mum 2 years ago that he would give every kobo in his bank accounts and every house he owns, to bring his son back to Life. And when my child was sick and recovered, he told me that he's always grateful his wife had that 3rd baby and encouraged me. Because my sick child was also a child no-one planned for. In his own words: "I would have been a father of just 1 child by now". |
RepoMan007:20 years ago LAWMA staff advised their bosses to implement this and they ignored it. Full plan, they even gor suppliers locally that would make the bins possible, was even plan for how Event Centresb and low income areas would work, even suggested the areas to start first. There are already waste sorting facilities in Lagos built by French companies. The Ogas all ignored it and treated us like we were kids to be indulged and ignored with our "oyinbo ideas". Now they're clapping for themselves. |
We actually need to close down Private schools and I'm happy to explain why: We have too many and most of them should not exist as they don't have the right facilities or right motives for existing. All schools are for profit and a lot of proprietors are putting profits over quality. Even in schools where they're paying N300,000/term for primary school. What we should do as a nation is to upgrade govt schools to the level of a CIS or BIS or Meadow Hall, fully equipped with well-apid and trained teachers. Then subsidise education. Defund private education and leave it to handle special cases only or tutoring academies. Because education should not be a private enterprise, it leads to bad outcomes for society. The wealthy can afford top education and the poor can't. Every single advanced country made it via making education the same standard for all. |
lordm:He was a power broker, a necessary job if you want to enter influential circles or meet important people. His privates actions was what he used to keep jaded rich people entertained. |
