Please leave that baby, that child is a blessing.

I know it sounds trite but it is the truth.

Call her and tell your wife to sit down. Tell her that "look, I cannot support this family by myself. You go and get a job". Be firm but loving. We've already agreed you're not taking out the baby, but she needs to get worried enough to take decisive action.

If she starts telling you she's sick or giving excuses, tell her to cut it out. That your marriage may end up being at stake if she doesn't start contributing and you can assure her, there's no money she will collect from you that will be enough for child support and she'll end up getting a job still.

Make her get applications in your presence, help her with it

I believe this story because at the start of the war, Moscow went about recruiting and conscripting Ethnic Russian minorities (they left the Slavic Russians, White Russians alone) and those ones resisted.

Russia has had a biological shortage of men for a long time, plus poverty. Eastern European girls were flocking to Korea and China as "working girls" and to hopefully marry Asian men.

So it makes sense that they're coming to Africa, with a plentiful supply of poor young men, to fight for them.

Nigeria had all of those before.

I'm not sure how old you guys are, but you may not know this:

Festac in Lagos has underground sewers and it was built in the 1970s. The sewers are somewhat broken down now because of lack of maintenance but they still work effectively that old parts of Festac never flood, no matter how heavy the rain is.

Festac, Surulere and some other parts of Lagos also had underground wire cables for electricals, till the 1980s. NEPA used to have machines that could read where there was a break in the circuitry and they would dig up that part and fix it and cover it up.

A lot of Lagos had piped water in your homes, so people actually had washing machines in the 1970s and 1980s.

Almost every part of Southern Nigeria used to have air fumigation. As in, helicopters and small planes would fly around and fumigrate bushes, so there were fewer mosquito outbreaks. I think that ended in the 1970s.

I know this because I had to study it and I also know people who used them or maintained them or designed the system. The Nigerians who did all that were the last set of people who worked or trained or studied under the Colonial Government or were sponsored abroad to Russia and UK and a few other places.

Even Lagos state's current rail system, the blue line to Marina and Red line trains, is from plans drawn up from the 1970s.

That generation of Nigerians from 1940s-1970s was the last generation to make Nigeria work.

Nigeria actually functioned better before the 1990s, we just kept getting progressively worse.

We actually should be asking to go back to the maintenance culture we had because after 1960, we weren't ready to continue what Colonial systems had set in place and in 30 years, everything had fallen apart. Same progression in South Africa currently.

Nigeria and Africa in general have a cultural problem. Someone once said that if you transported Japanese to Nigeria and Nigerians to Japan, in 5-7 years time, Nigeria would begin to look like Japan and Japan would begin to fall apart like Nigeria.

The last Grammys, because they knew the whole world would accuse them of racism if they put them in "Best Asian Act", the Grammys put them in categories that they knew they wouldn't win (Best Pop) against their own American act and told the whole world "whatever Olivia Rodrigo sang is better and bigger than BTS 'Butter'..." 😑

You have to be in the American industry with deep connections to win.

Angelique Kidjo told Burna what to do and he won, Davido went to meet her but unfortunately Tyla got to the Recording Academy members first. Tyla is packaged directly for the American Music Industry, they don't care if Ayra Starr is selling out venues in Japan. Asake too moved over there and became "Bike is lyfe".

Okay, here's the problem

For over a decade now, the African continent has had an issue with snake antivenom.

A while ago one foreign company was making snake antivenom nom for the African continent(Sanofi), but then they pulled out before 2010

About the only antivenom available in Africa is imported from India and other countries which brings us to problem no 2

Snake antivenom om must be specific for the snake that is in the country before one can be sure it works.

Right now only one research group makes snake antivenom for Nigeria and it is only for two snakes specie , meaning a bite by any other species is problematic.( The report is incomplete by the way, as it doesn't say which snake was responsible). And the thing is not widely available

That's why most hospitals don't have snake antivenom in Nigeria. They probably referred her to a teaching hospital that might and I emphasize might, have the appropriate one.

All we can do is pray Kenya and Rwanda take Drug manufacturing for the continent of Africa seriously.

Because the antivenom costs N50k per shot and most private hospitals don't see snake bite patients frequently (it doesn't happen to their highest paying customer), so they don't carry it.

Nigeria is a poor, badly-run country. Every state should have Government hospitals with antivenom.

We don't have research labs, we don't have manufacturing, we don't have cold storage. A serious state govt should vex and give everything to encourage a drug manufacturer to move there

To end Feminism, men must end Patriarchy.

2. who told them to never despise or push away the wives of their youth (Book of Malachi);

3. who told them that Adultery was a heinous Sin (Books of Exodus and Deuteronomy)

4. Who modelled passionate love (Book of Songs of Solomon)

5. Who modelled Forgiveness no matter what (Book of Hosea).

So stop preaching to women and start telling the Heads and Leaders of the House to start doing their jobs right, so that the Neck will follow suit. 😎 for the neck only moves in the direction the head turns

For if men followed these teachings, Patriarchy and Feminism would become like a 💾 and a ☎️: no longer relevant to our current timeline.

You're all doing the same thing.

You know the shocking thing? In Catholic Mass, they read more Bible verses than any Pentecostal church ever. Truly.

Nigerians aren't safe o.

The only reason more Nigerian deportations haven't started is because right now, ICE is still mostly White people and they can't tell the difference between Black Americans and Africans.

I never used to see anything wrong with it, until a father corrected my husband when he did the same thing to our girl: he asked whose child she was. He told my husband not to shirk his responsibility in his youth, otherwise our kid would end up not being close to him in old age.

I've seen it happen: polite strangers or adult kids who treat their dads like Uncles as opposed to Fathers.

And I met a man who said when his mum was late, everyone told his dad to send them to their grandma's house. His dad refused and raised all 4 (3 boys and a girl) under his roof, never remarried. The dad is old now, they don't joke with him. That bond won't have been strong if they grew up elsewhere, they'd be polite rather than fiercely loyal.

I've seen a good number of people claim that their co-parents are keeping the kids away from them, only for us to get both sides of the story and find out that wasn't true.

One man said that his ex was keeping his kids from him, he was so believable. However, his entire family is in contact with his ex, even his friend his ex gists with him. So what was the truth?

One here on NL claimed the same thing, then he used his mouth to tell us he wasn't paying school fees even.

Another said he was a very present father...as in he visits once every 3 weeks but he's in the same city with the kids o. Dem don beg am tire make he dey visit him kids. His parents are the ones who stepped up for the kids. That's his definition of "present".

So please Oga, are you paying full schoolfees every single time? Like, once any bill shows up, you settle it sharp sharp. Have you bought a phone to be in contact with your child, instead of calling her mum (explain to her mother that you don't want to be disturbing her so you got your child a phone). Are you in frequent contact and are a present father? Leave pride, be calm and polite when you're on the call with their mum.

You're doing all these for your kid, who will be seeing your behaviour and learning. Trust me, acting like this ensures that your kid will always love and cherish you, her father.

There's this thing I heard that women in the 40s, 50s and 60s are doing: on a travel visa, they go to another country and do 5 months of domestic work, then come back, rest for 1 or 2 months and go back.

Surprisingly the women doing this are what I would call Middle Class. And it's hard work on them.

But at least those are Western countries, with systems in place to protect them.

We've forgotten how to be content with ourselves, how to place ourselves in the only constant Being, who never changes.

Once you turn to God, the noise quietens down in your heart and you find yourself enjoying solitude, accepting that you're a mess, accepting that you won't be as rich or as happy as you think you ought to be (because none of us, if we get all we wanted, is ever truly happy- a quote by WM Thackeray). You'll humble yourself and be grateful for everything and not hold anything tight to your chest. You'll learn how to forgive and unburden yourself.

And you'll stop thinking that the world thinking choices makes sense, it doesn't.

You have 2 roads in front of you.

One road: you keep focusing on all the problems with your spouse and how you felt you "settled" for her. Remember the 3 sentences I started with? Yeah, that will keep affecting you. Eventually you'll make some money and tell yourself "I deserve to be happy!". That's when, even if you didn't want it, your marriage or relationship will end. You'll become a single Dad, start dating "your choice" and find out that what you were looking for in Sokoto, was in your shokoto.

The end result is that it will be too late, but luckily for the rest of the world you'll hide your regrets very well.

I know someone who did the exact same thing you did, went down this road, "tolerated rubbish" for years. He's separated now, he went haywire at the end (blew up his reputation with his family and in-laws and good friends, bad friends were telling him to "keep choosing his happiness" wink

and I see glimpses of his regret, he uses anger and pride to hide it. But God is faithful and we are all working on things, to hear good news soon.

2nd road: realize that if she was good enough to date, she was good enough to marry and MAN UP! You're not better than her, get off that prideful horse, she's exactly at your level. She is your woman. Go home and tell her that "the only way out of this marriage is via death so better get ready to bury me at age 90".

Tell yourself that every day, choose her every blessed day. Make up your mind and every day keep choosing your wife.

Money will come. This too, shall pass. And when the money comes, thank the Lord and do not discard the wife of your youth. There's nobody out there, there's nothing better.

Just ask Tuface and all the men who were hailing him for "upgrading" and are now quietly using him as teachable moment.

Whatever she writes on social media, discuss with her calmly, try and get some maturity abeg. You're a husband and a father now.

Everytime money looks tight, go home and play with your wife and little daughter. They're all you have in this world, nothing will make you richer. Blessings are in their hearts for you, you only need be kind and faithful to them, to unlock it.

However, For Temu, Free delivery gets to your doorstep.

I've received AliExpress free delivery to doorpost recently.

I don't like it because their logistics company is in my area (a bike or 10 min drive away) and they don't use bike to deliver, they send people (men and women) on foot to be trekking under the hot sun, carrying load.

I wish I could tell them to keep my parcels and I'll come and pick them up, best I can do is to start tipping the delivery people or offer them a bottle of water

Nope, the female model was not a physical hottie. She was blonde, a US size 8 with pudgy stomach and like I said, they all need body makeup because HD is very unforgiving.

When they get on set, most of the actors and actresses haven't worked with each other before. Most don't like to hang out with each other off-work period. They wear bathrobes when the camera is off and only take it off when it is time to work. Strangers pretending to be turned on.

They'll lie in interviews and say how hot and passionate it was to shoot their movie because that's what you the paying customer wants to hear: a fantasy.

Condom usage is high. The reason you don't see it is... post-production. If there is a medical outbreak, the industry has to shut down for a month and people lose income. So they are safe on set, however they know their viewers want an unsafe fantasy, so stuff is edited out in post-production.

The most important thing to have on set (in the USA) is your recent medical test certifying that you're free from most STDs.

Seriously, it is NOT a good job, nobody wakes up and wants to do it...not even the OnlyFans girls making big bank, a lot are pushing the lifestyle because they make easier money recruiting new girls than shooting.

It is soul-crushing and destroying. That fantasy is built on a lot of moral destruction.

In the capacity of working on film and tv sets and photoshoots (here and abroad).

So I understand the technical aspects of shooting.

You have to plaster makeup on actors (because nobody is perfect). When cameras switched to Hi Def, Directors started telling actresses to stop eating carbs (because everything, including cellulite, shows). Asian tv shows will literally run filters in post-production on their actors and actresses.

Shooting sexx scenes in the beach and scenes in water are hardest on female adult actresses.

Male actors make more money doing LGBTQ and some of your fav male actors will wear wig, a spray tan and do that work, so that you, their straight male audience, don't catch them.

Everyone uses a lot of lube, lube is also good for regular movies because it shines well under camera lights, it looks good as a mix for making fake tears because some actors can't cry at will (there's this Naija actress that is an amazing crier, just sit in one corner for 30 mins and next she's sobbing whilst eating biscuit).

Everyone gets bored on set because Grip (crew in charge of moving stuff) take the most time moving their equipment (heavy and expensive).

Filming is cool for the first 24 hours, after that you wish the production is over.

Porn is worse, sometimes the actor is too rough and the actress is waiting for the director to shout "cut!", so she can run to the bathroom and cry in pain.

I worked with an American camera man who did glamour (softcore porn), he told me stuff and then tried to recruit me 😐

The guys you first meet in that industry aren't sleazy scumbags, they sound and dress like regular guys that you'd meet after their office job in VI and at a rave like Element House.

They are very predatory though, hiding under a chill exterior and go for girls who they can sense are unhappy, desperate or in some sort of trouble and aren't experienced.

They won't go for bad girls sleeping, coldly and calculatedly, with married men whilst pretending, because those type of girls are their female equivalent (predators)

The visa ban will remain until Trump leaves office. It has nothing to do with which city hosts the sporting events, but the very fact those events will be held on US territory.

Visa ban won't affect countries which don't require a visa.

ICE carrying you because they can't tell the difference between a legal Spaniard tourist and an illegal Mexican migrant, will affect attendance.

Which is why California can host and people will attend, they can slow down the US economy in a week if Trump sends ICE there and everyone will use anger to vote for Gavin Newsom in the next election grin

South Africa and Nazi Germany weren't going around asking people on the road for their particulars, if they were foreigners. America is.

So unless they suspend ICE during the World Cup, it isn't safe to go watch matches.
