You may have to likely format that hard disk before proceeding with installation. Also check to be sure your installation cd is okay and without scratches.

To format from the windows 7 installation menu. sElect the disk and click format. You would lose all the files so back up before you do this.

PLEASE HELP!! My power pack charges my system only when it's not powered on or on 'sleep' mode. Damaged board or provably processor although rear for a processor to get damaged that easily. you should try loose the covers. Remove the Rams, clean them and insert them back

Please I need your help concerning my Toshiba satellite A132. Last two weeks, I shut down the laptop normally/maybe it went off when the battery was low, can't remember but the next time I tried rebooting it, the only thing I could see was black screen, nothing more.


The booting light comes up normally, it sounds normal but the HDD light wasn't on.


Have tried everytin possible ever since then but not working. Removed the battery and power source, pressed the power button, nothing happened, tried turning it on without the battery but with the power source(nothing), tried fn+f5, f8, etc but not working


Please your help will be appreciated, thanks.

As someone earlier advised. Try removing and reseating the ram. If this doesn't work, take it to a nearby technician

Hard disk failure probably. Better you back up your files on an external drive.

You should have covered all bases. Checking the wireless and Lan adapter network settings and seeing if a previous static IP has been inserted is a first. I am surprised you didn't do this. Its basic in troubleshooting. Connectify always creates its own dynamic IP addresses

Done that sir... still no network access. I've even tried a clean boot to fix the problem still it's not working. The modem has been unlocked, even when tried connecting with other SIM cards it still doesn't work.

change the PAP or CHAP settings. I understand Mtn uses PAP or so. If it's in CHAP change it to the other and the opposite way also. Should work.

Remove the battery and connect the Ac adapter. Turn it on. Get back to me on what happens.

From experience, buying used boards is not wise especially AMDs . You end up with a bad one after few months of use except if they are factory refurbished ones which are always expensive and costs around 20-25k.

I would advise you scrap that system. And add money to but something else.

start the system but hold on to the f8 key. select safe mode. allow it to load in safe mode. restart from safe mode.

if it doesn't load the safe mode. your operating system has issues. also make sure you disconnect all connected USB cables and remove any CD discs in your DVD tray.

you have a corrupt BIOS. Were you trying to update the BIOS or something related before you shut down the previous time.

I don't know your competence level. I would advise you do this. If you are competent enough to handle it.

Remove CMOS battery and after a few minutes then plugged it in back. Then connect AC power adapter and press power button.
