jibloh:A 5 year old Compaq? Do the cost analysis. There are better Uk used systems that don't cost more than 360I that you can invest in. Spending 25k on that system to me is not worth it except it's an extraordinary "machine". Tell him to scrap it, Sell parts and so. You may not get more than 5 to 8k but it's a good bargain. Add money and get something better. |
Gossip like? Talking about things does help in relieving the stress most times and the forum is anonymous enough to cover privacy concerns. |
VillageBoi:I dey come make I finish with my this bottle of kunu before I come critique the movie. But first, thumbs up for turning this from a script to a movie. That's a lot of work. |
MoNickk:Some people posit some rules of matching the belt colour to the socks and shoes. I don't totally agree but I believe if you would be tucked in, your belt should at least blend with what you are wearing and not look odd. |
zoelife:He isn't that alright please. Why open your chest ? The colours look a bit odd. Drab black jacket on a( is that wine, maroon or purple) or what colour of trousers is that? Even without the jacket. He is not well tucked in. Black belt on a light brown shoe? The background and surrounding looks just plain and ordinary. His pose is just there. Guess this was a rushed snapshot. Let me stop here before people start asking for a pic. ![]() |
You are in the best position to analyse things and come to a conclusion. No one would tell you to walk away or stay. Your story is incomplete and I guess anyone with wisdom won't want to judge or give advice based on such scanty info. "Something led to something..." That something that led to something you listed maybe gigantic and maybe something small and until you give full details; Like what led to the fracas, if he had prior behaviour showing such tendencies and so on it would be hard to advise effectively. Also you seem to really not know what consists of a deserving relationship. 1.He has promised to marry you.(That sounds condescending to your personality) So promising marriage is what now? A jackpot or trip to heaven? 2. You have just known him for few months which although is enough time to know anyone but you seem clueless about him. 3. He has agreed he has issues with controlling his temper. Question is, is he getting the necessary help? Does he acknowledged this is bad and looking for ways to work on it? |
zoelife:Dont worry.i can see it now. |
The background though. Is this your crush/smush truly? I would pass No comment. ![]() |
sholay2011:See him head....na wet in he dey like be that. Send me a message..Lost the number again. |
zoelife:Welcome but.... |
ireneidiva:That's why there is a caveat at the end of that post . It's open to discussion and I guess what is best for the ladies should be done. If anyone of them is at such stage I.e 7-8 months then life according to Islamic understanding has already been breathed into the foetus.( you should understand the religion gives certain stringent exceptions where abortion maybe permissible and my response is mostly hinged on those exceptions). Also based health science we can all agree that the pregnancy is at an advanced stage by then and It would be advisable to allow such lady give birth and leave the kid up for adoption or whatever is suitable if the mother can't cope with the trauma of such event. I believe the health team handling the cases would evaluate things on a case by case method and do what's best for the women in each scenario. No one should be judged by whatever decision they choose to make. The mother is the harbinger of life of a new born and her health both physically and mentally should always be held paramount in cases like this. This is more reason we shouldn't have allowed the beasts in human skin called boko haram or whatever fester or spread in the first place. We wouldn't have found ourselves considering such repulsive discussions now if the people in position had taken the right steps at the right time to nip it in the bud. |
billtommy:Send me a pm. I would advise you do it asap. Because i have a limited window around. |
billtommy:where are you based? I can help you with reviving it and regenerating the BIOS. BIOS updates aren't things you dance around with. They are one thing i don't even advise people to update. |
ireneidiva:This is not in support or against abortion but your assertion here is wrong. People die of abortion because it's not legalised and they most times approach quack or unqualified health workers to carry out such operations in deplorable facilities. The risk of dying from abortion if carried out by a certified centre is as minimal as the removal of a traumatic tumor from a patient which is near zero. @ i guess there's the principle of the lesser evil here and i guess there are precedents. If i can recall correctly abortion was allowed for some muslim women who were raped during a war between some middle eastern ethnicities some years back. The trauma of seeing a remembrance of what gory time they passed through and the pain of going through with the pregnancy is enough to sanction it in my own opinion. But all these has a limit and is open to more discussions by scholars. |
sledjama:Aba oga...How has gtb given glo your account and allowed them charge you twice. If you tried to buy recharge and the first one didn't go through. It is only wise not to try again as the link maybe overloaded. Mostly common with glo though and there is a 48 hour reversal on transactions. As for security., Nigerians need to start regarding things with a bit more seriousness. Your atm card is not something you display to any dick and harry. I agree there should be a non written , third layer of security and I hope Gtb sorts it out soon. Also, they should ask their bank customers for authorisation before adding them to any platform. It smacks of incompetence to generally add profiles of your customers to what they didn't sign up for. |
sholay2011:This might not be that crazy. I Once told a panel that i just checked the job description they sent me a day before the Interview date and that based on what they have written in it and the requirements, i don't think i qualify for such position. They looked at me with suprise asked why? First the role they were looking for was clearly not an area i was deeply into. Just knew the basics but their Hr officer or when advertising the position lumped up a different job title which was actually my line of work with another vague description which looked similar to what I do and that was why i applied. Only realised there was something amiss after they sent me an updated job description the previous day which clearly showed i wasn't their ideal candidate. From there on we just did Informal talking and at the end they did offer me the position but under probation for 6 months which was to enable me buckle up and shore up my knowledge but i had to turn it down. I never pictured myself as a programmer and except for the prerequisite knowledge that i have I don't enjoy programming and can't wrap my head around the fact that i would be doing something i don't enjoy daily. |
Xetima:Another person drawn from the same cloth. Ok. Let me try and explain like you are 5. Most of us or majority of Nigerians who protested against the subsidy removal didn't do it because they felt it was wrong. They protested the basic fact that. First, Nigeria does not have any excuse to be importing refined petroleum products as we have refinaries only that the government was inept to manage it. Question was, why would the common man have to pay for government's uselessness and mistakes? Secondly, the figures were bogus and shrouded in corruption. If anything the price and quantity was manipulated and if facts were to be followed the outrageous amount the FG was banding around then was a farce. Third., we never trusted the government to do what was right. The jonathan administration was corrupt and it was very obvious even before the removal of the subsidy. And we were right. What do we have to show for the trillions saved from the partial removal since 2012? Where is the turnaround maintenance we were promised? Where are the roads? Where are the increased investment? If we had allowed the full removal, aren't we going to be left disappointed at the end just like we are now. Basic fact is. The government wanted to remove the subsidy then not because they had plans for any developmental project for Nigerians but like the leprous and insatiable thief that they are they couldn't just keep their eyes of that cookie jar. Are we justified to have protested? Very well justified. Subsidy removal is a nice idea but not one that should be posited by crooks and never do wells. |
Sometimes you just have to shake your head at the headless nincompoops that Nigeria is filled with. I would support the transportation of millions of silly Nigerians into the Ocean yearly if it would reduce the number of stupid people we have in our midst. Let me pretend you have any iota of sense. At least there was partial subsidy removal of up to 50% since 2012. What was the partial money generated from its removal used for in more than 3 years? What can we show for that revenue? Dumbledores like you don't have the capacity to think, so I don't expect any responsible response from you nay the usual rhetorics. |
Why are most irresponsible mothers nowadays trying to so hard to compromise the innocence of kids and rubbing them of their childhood? Kids are kids and should be allowed to dress decently not sexy or to show off their body endownments. The people who engage in this are building a very low self esteem for these kids. It's a subtle message that all the kid got is her body and she would grow up with such mentality that her body is for "show off". |
cyif2003:It's an amd? if yes. I don't ascribe to buying used or even refurbished of it. 6 to 8 months and you are back to square one. You can sell the system for scrap. Add money and get something else. you can't get the new one for less than 26 to 28k here in Ikeja except maybe factory refurbished for 22k and used for 18k both of which are not reliable and carry a 1 month warranty. |
cyif2003:Seen it. Its new. You have to understand a new motherboard is like a brand new system. If you still fancy the Hp, then you should get this. I see the motherboard is coming straight from the manufacturers shelf not the usual chinese clones and refurbished ones. Go for it if you pocket can carry it. |
This thread is for kids. Op Must be Under 16. Lots of them roaming around the forum in their pants. ![]() So what is the lie in there? She has heard of Fermat but cant remember at that point what exactly it is. Is that a lie? I have heard of a million different things and it may even be in my line of work but the name maybe insignificant and i may not really remember what they stand for until you refresh me with some more info or pointers. So why open threads about such? If nothing, you are the mischievious person here. |
Crespodinho:We aren't magicians bro. Give us more background info. How does it shut down? Abruptly(i.e just goes blank) or it shuts down using the Shutdown function? What is your battery percentage at that point? If you restart it, does it tell you it suffered any crash? Get this information and we should be able to help you. |
ephortunate:You need a new charger. That it works for someone else doesnt mean your laptop spec has the same rating and power conaumptipn requirement. Take the system along and find the required charger. |
conyema12:First uninstall that browser. also check your program fearures and uninstall those toolbars on the browser e.g mywebsearch, aol, ask, iLivid and so on. Remove all plugins except adobe flash, shockwave and java runtime. All others should be deleted. Reinstall the browser and you would be fine. Next you need to stop downloading everything you see on the internet. I feel personal disgust when people bring systems him and they complain about its slowness or malfunction only to check and see they are the harbingers of the problems. Downloading anything clickable online even if its a virus. |
sweetval:I would advise you locate the diagonistics from the Bios and use it to scan for the health status of the hard disk. As you can see boldly written on the second pic. First the Operating system is missing. The hard disk holds that. Its either you have loose hdd, corrupt or a bad hard disk. The diagnositic would tell you that. |
MznAirA:I dont know if you got the required expertise. If yes. Pull out the cover, remove the ram. clean the teeth or placeholder with a small dry brush. Plug and you would be fine. Also note the area your are using this system. Dust aint too good for systems. |
cyif2003:40k? Are you checking the same ebay? Also are you buing factory refurbished or brand new? |
AwesomeRomeo:If your phone is an android phone. Get the usb cable, connect to the system, go to settings on the phone and select network settings. Under tetthering. Slect Turn on Usb tetthering. You can browse straight. |
MoNickk:Any NIGERIAN guy whether dark or light can pull the patterned shorts off. You just need to mix with bright colours and not just dark ones if you are on the darker side. He looks very good in it. The shoes just seems a bit distracting. Maybe it's me, seems i am used to the natural black or brown shoes for males. |
xandy84:If this is the kind of information being passed around on the forum as intellectual discourse and facts then i cringe at the kind of misinformation anyone without an idea in a subject matter would have gobbled up as the holy truth on this forum. Please, you would do well to stop making some very erroneous statements. First, Greece is part of the European union and the local currency is Euro which is controlled by the European Central Bank. ECB. Greece can not print money because they aren't in charge of printing and the currency belongs to the Union. You don't expect Nigeria's central Bank to print US dollars. This is because they share same currencies with other countries with a centralized framework. If they would want to achieve that, they first have to declare bankruptcy and go into a default.Next is to pull out of the European Union and have their own local currency. This is not easily achievable because the other European Union members would not allow this because Greece owns them a tonne of money which won't be paid if they are allowed to go. Greece has little or no assets that can be seized to repay the loans so it's more sensible to continue propping them up with bailout money than to allow them default. ALSO, The shockwaves of a Greek default is enough to pull the economies of other European Union member countries suffering from same problem like Portugal, Spain and Italy who are barely surviving on the fringes under immediately. This can ultimately lead to the end of the Union which would be disastrous for most member countries. You should please get your facts right when next you are posting. If you don't have an idea as regards a topic, there's no harm staying away or just reading through. As for the topic. Sounds interesting but we all know most of our development projects are tied to the dollar as almost everything used in building materials for these same infrastructure we want to develop and shore up to spur growth is imported. This would put enormous pressure on the local currency and may lead to hyper inflation. The only way around it I would advise is for whatever Quantitative easing they may want to undertake not to EXCEED 10% of our GDP. Other areas should be looked into for raising cash for developmental projects from areas like curbing wasteful spending and corruption which should be vigorously pursued. |
Bimpe29:@ramanto First there is a principle of lesser evil. We have more pressing issues like the deaths of thousands than to occupy ourselves with such miniscule things. Secondly., for every Hadith that is narrated there are always clearly defined hadiths that either supercede or modify the intentions. Also., things are not by fiat and needs a bit understanding. Yeah., it is prohibited to shake hands with a non mahram woman but the basis of the Hadith is premised on the fact that "It is prohibited If there is fear of provoking sexual desire or enjoyment on the part of either one of them or if there is fear of temptation". This is based on the general rule that blocking the means to evil is obligatory, especially if its signs are clear. Was the intent sexual? Could the handshake had led to something else? Also, the first Hadith clearly states that all actions are judged by ones intentions. Is Buhari's intention of shaking her hands sexually inclined? Did he intend to gain any sexual satisfaction from such? When you answer those questions I hope you would have cleared yourself of such misconceptions. You and the others shouting on top of your voice would do well to tell Muslim Senators to veto the use of proceeds from Alcoholic beverage tax and tax from interest generating ventures like banks from being used to fund the National Budget that Muslims are part of or ensuring equality, ruling with justice and sincerity based on what the Shariah enjoins. Those are more pressing issues than a 72 year old president of a mixed religious Country shaking the hands of a female citizen which we all know was never intimate or sexually inclined. As for the op. You need serious help. When did some bunch of idle people who do nothing but sit on top looking for what to rant on equate to Muslims speaking? |
