shosky1794:5 blinks on an HP means Board Failure. LEDs blink 5 times System board. General system board failure. I doubt you would be able fix that. Except you buy a new motherboard. Let me guess. Amd processor? |
Salimmuhammad:Sorry I don't store the base. |
horchukoh:Seem like you have lots of money to throw around. That someone knows to operate a computer doesn't mean he is handy with troubleshooting. To know if your system's hard disk is bad. Press and hold f2 when you put it on. Go to Diagnostics and run an HDD or hard disk test. That should tell you whether it is bad or not. As for the BOOTMGR error. It is a well documented error. A little Google search would avail you of answers. The CD is the best way although if you have a backup you don't need to buy the CD. Here is a method. Try it and get back to me. Follow the steps meticulously. Use Startup Repair on a computer that has a preinstalled recovery option on your computerhttps://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2622803#bookmark-method%204 If you however still keen on buying an Hard disk when you don't need one. I have one laying fallow that I want to dispose. I can make do with the extra cash since you don't need it.. ![]() |
horchukoh:You would need the windows 8 DVD to restore the bad boot sector. |
horchukoh:You have a corrupt boot manager. What's the windows you are using? |
LydiamisM:I would advise you get someone around there to help you fix. it is not that hard to replace but cost and risk of sending it down there from Lagos and paying someone to fix it there far outweighs the total cost of fixing it in Bauchi. Check this people. They should be able to redirect you to someone reliable. Cost shouldn't be more than 15k Denawatrick Computer Software Malam Wada Shopping Complex, Bauchi Goodluck |
Gboliwe:Madam...I see you o. @lydiamisM It would cost you an average of 12k and around 5mins to fix a new one for you. Are you in Lagos? |
And op what is wrong with the pic? You are the one something is wrong with. Someone took a personal pic and you find dignity in trying to slander the "right" of that person all in a bid to gain front page? I should ask you. What the feck is wrong with you? and how old are you? |
bolaji3071:8k for both. |
cmonek:What response do you get when you connect? You might have too many on the list. Go to network and sharing center-select the wireless adapter and connections. Delete some of those connections you have. Also check adapter properties and make sure there are no custom IP settings. How do you do that? select the adapter, go to its properties, ipv4 and set everything to automatic or dynamic. Also disable your antivirus and try and connect. You may have firewall blocking such networks from connecting. Good luck |
ZainabOO:Also , just to prepare your mind. The screen is a 15.6 inch and would cost 12k to replace. Keyboard ranges from 3k5 to 5k depends on what exact model of the hp 2000 you have. As for the touchpad. I can't actually say a specific price until I have checked it and ascertain what the problem is. Might just be updating the driver or cleaning it. |
ZainabOO:Sent you a pm. Thanks |
vague:.. You should have thought about that before using an English word as username. |
haryomikun:welcome |
cococandy:nairaland deosnt even delete. What was done was just to hide your name under a general tag "anoynymous". Just check the bottom of the homepage on your birthday and you would be amzed to find you userid boldy written and guess what. That's the account you assumed you deleted. Once it is online you can't just walk away. |
So much "indomie ladies" nowadays. I see why many men are going the baby mama route. Just passing by. Carries tin foil hat and runs for cover. ![]() |
In addition to what bellong said. Fellowbeing...You are very funny. I couldn't help but laugh at your ultimatums. It is painful but truth is You should use that to your advantage. I am talking personally now and sharing a similar story from that same school of someone who spilled twice because of just two courses. He stayed back and during that period was able to build a business enterprise inside school for himself printing, doing registration and other computer related stuff at that Lagos boys hostel . He ended up buying a car in less than a year and did lots of other beautiful things for himself. He was a classmate of mine and I can tell you for a fact that he is in a far better position than most of out colleagues who graduated without a single issue . Another who spilled just rounded up his MSC in that same school. Failure is just a temporary setback, it is not a determinant of your worth. What made them different? Their attitude towards the failure. While you are seeing the negatives , he sat down and accepted his fate while looking at the positive side of things and worked towards making something positive out of the bad situation. Failure should motivate you to do more to succeed. Also, Life is not a rat race. Forget that you are seating with your juniors. What's even junior in a university? Most are your junior not because of age but by one circumstances or the other like spending long years at home without admission. Everyone has his own destined time. You don't need such comparisons. If I were you, I would use this spare time to better my skills in whatever trade or ideal I have passion for. Do volunteer jobs or even gain some practical experience. You are a graduate already, you just don't have the cert yet. So maybe you see this as a graduate who is yet to be mobilised for NYSC and use this opportunity to do lots of personal upgrading. The extra year can be either a blessing or curse depending on what you use it for. Also, the earlier you tell your parents the better. Its better they are in on the situation of things now. It would be awkward but there are somethings you just have to do. You are a man and shouldn't shy away from such bitter confrontations. See this as a message from a fellow alumni and shelve those evil thoughts . life continues and a failure at a stage shouldn't spell the end of life. |
Kaysalas:my number is always on that thread. Just check my profile. But text messages only. How are you doing? Long time. |
June24th:Glad to hear that but I am still suprised the ram would cause that. |
haryomikun:click start and type system restore. Select system restore and Choose a restore point before the blackberry installation. You would see it listed. Follow the process till the end. Allow it to restart. Should work |
Kaysalas:Don't talk you hear. Just wait till thunder strikes one day and damages all electrical equipment you own. ![]() |
eipreel:so what is it about? |
eipreel:Find someone to talk to about it to. don't hold it back because people called you out as regards your claim. We all react to things differently. I see you are a job seeker. There is always light at the end of the tunnel. Just know that |
June24th:Just take it to him. Its not like the system is bad. Just need to be fixed. Good luck |
Cvesta:After how many minutes when switched off? Except if it is running in the background, I can't fathom why it would get hot even after being switched off. Care to remove the battery after you have switched it off and see if same happens? |
eipreel:And why would you want to put someone through the misery of shooting you? You wanna talk about this? However, I have a water gun here. Care for some liquid spray? |
June24th:Ram? That's wrong. Not ram. Just take it to him to fix since you just bought it. Never agree to go fishing for a solution on your own if the system was just bought recently. It is either the screen is bad or something else and the seller is duty bound to be the one to sort it out. Never the ram Also, what is the model? |
Kaysalas:Your house is not properly earthed. Also, you may be touching those points while barefooted. Touching those items while barefooted in a ceramic tiled room is also known to cause this same effect. |
Little things such as using seat belts would have gone a long way in helping. Just a check and they might not have been using seat belts. RIP to the dead. |
SkinnyDude:I hope you are not a scammer ![]() Just asking though. You Nigerians are something else. Feels better? Grow some sense imp. This is the family section and you would learn some respect. |
malvisguy212:You would do well to leave the thread and stop commenting. Part of being tolerant is to respect the wishes of others as long as it does not infringe on your rights. She made her choice, you made yours previously. Millions would swerve both ways or other ways. It is their personal choice. @ op. I hope you contacted tbaba1234. Couldn't find the thread Guess it was lost to the nairaland tsunami. |
ToroJah:The bolded.... Anyone advising you to pray has only gone half way through things. The main Job is getting out doing the hard work that it involves. You can't just keep praying and expect manna to fall from heaven. You need to match prayers with actions. Both working together is what brings results. And don't expect instant results, look at things from the progress aspect. Have you made improvements? Even if it were little. It is still progress. Set little targets and so on. You also need to start loving yourself. You don't need the validation of families or someone else to be happy. Although, it helps in a long way to help soothe things over, but in the absence of it. Improvise and make do with what you have. You may think people don't love you but love is a too way thing. You need to give to sometimes receive Also family ain't people you are related to by blood. Family are those who care about you, people you share moments of your life with. That's the real family. |
