Hi guru's in the house.. I need your help

Whenever I want to save something in my system, be it microsoft document or a movie I want to download with opera, mozilla or chrome, I always see 'not responding,' and then 'close or wait to respond' which will take forever till I close the page.

I have tried deleting and reinstalling , but still the problem is still there.

I use windows defender as antivirus and I still have alot of space in my local disk.



Please help a sister. .. what do I do apart from formatting the laptop?

There are many things that may be involved. Viruses or maybe your system files have issues. Or probably the hard disk is going bad. Is the system slow?

Nah. Not in computer village. Just have like a liaison in cases when I need to fix things there.

I have heard stories of such but no authentic research has been done towards that. Maybe they have poor restating memories.

I bought a MacBook Apple laptop while studying in SA. Having returned to Nigeria, it was extremely slow. I tried to fix it here, no one could assist me with the problem, so I sent it to SA for a repair. I was told the hard drive is faulty and needed to replace the battery as well. What they wanted to charge me is enough to get a new laptop. I am wondering if you could assist with the repair?

It can be fixed, however I need to know exact model or year of The MacBook. Just budget around 16 to 20k for both.

You would need to change the hard disk. What size do you currently use? As for the wireless. What's the exact model?

Likely your vga is bad. They normally just heat it back but you would have to change that board at last.

In recent weeks I have seen hundreds of threads on updating ones Windows to the latest version released by Microsoft and the general enthusiasm of most Nigerians towards this.

However, like every new gadget or technology that is released, most times the end users are oblivious of the hidden facts behind such release and tend to only look at the beautiful and shiny graphics without any checks on how the new system affects their existing conditions.

Here is an heads up. According to Microsoft's newly implemented policy on installation of Windows 10 OS updates.

"All updates are forced upon users with no opt-out ability."

This in layman's language means, you cannot turn off those data guzzling automatic updates.

What is the implications for Nigerian users?

We all understand how our internet services is rationed and expensive. Except for big corporations, most end user data subscriptions are always capped while an average update of windows always tends towards downloads measuring hundreds of megabytes or Gigabytes and which invariably means users who connect their modems to their systems may max out on their data in the space of days due to the forced updates.

To avoid stories that touch or that usual curses on network providers. If you are willing to Upgrade to Windows 10, understand it comes with consequences. You may not have any option than to avoid connecting your system to a modem, phone hotspot or local network if you don't want to zap out your mb in the space of hours.

This is not to discourage people from updating to windows 10. It is a better and sleeker OS in my own opinion when compared to the "graphics laden and hard to navigate windows 8 OS" but nonetheless people need to be aware of its cons before diving into it.

As for your WiFi problem. You sure there is no custom IP address linked to your wireless adapter ?

Click the wireless connection. select properties. Next go under the ipv4 connection settings. Set all the parameters to automatic.

Refresh and try reconnecting.

As for your question. Your shipper does the clearing. All you have to do is search for the car you want, buy it, pay for the charges to get to your shipper. You can sit back an allow your shipping company do the clearing. You would just have to pay them for the expenses.

You aren't scanning deep enough also the anti virus may not be updated and the virus may be a recent one thus your ineffective.

I upgraded to window 10 some few days back not up to a week, yesterday before i went to bed i used my HP DV6 PC, and nothing was wrong with it but this morning when i woke up i try putting ON my system as usual but the screen went blank and dim, i awaited thinking it was just taking time to boot but the problem persisted even now it's still the same, i have tried all i could like removing the battery and putting it ON again and hard hard starting as they call it but still the same, blank and dim.
