Luxanne.. Sorry about that. Never knew about it. May the day be the beginning of extraordinary things in your life. Amin. I hope you had a swell time? Where our own cake o? |
Can we please ignore some peeps in here. They have nothing tangible to contribute except to derail. |
chidimarc: deji2009, onegig and co, pls respondSend me a pm. I hope you have the money for the ssd. Just 120gb costs 26k. Also just checking the laptop model and i am not sure how a system from 2007 comes with an SSD. Or do you mean IDE? |
Every once in a while, the disease spills over into humans, often when someone handles or eats undercooked or raw meat from a diseased ape, monkey, or bat. An outbreak can then happen for several months. And then it becomes quiet again.__________ Seriously the Africans need to grow up. What in hell is all these bush meat people indulge in? Eating raw monkey meat , bat and so on. And now that person that did this is endangering the lives of millions with his stupidity. |
brightk: u can google d meanin...am sure its against d rules of dis forum 2 discuss such issue......not witstanding.. every chip will always hit up as long as u subject it 2 Stressful jobs like dat of gaming....... the truth is dat laptops dont dissipate heat very well.. de cant really manage heat... unlike desktop..weda AMD or NVIDIA chip.. they will still heat up..Modifying bios is not against forum rules. I would like to learn. Just go on. |
maclatunji: A lot of people do not think like this, the grass always looks greener on the other side but I get your point. They forget that the grass looks greener on your side when you mow it. |
deols: People I have problems with are the 'idealists' who are too comfortable with what position they think the world is and fail to dream of a better world. Your dreams are what you become. If you dont ever dream big, you cant make it big.You sound like you are giving a speech. Last time someone gave such speech i went home, slept and dreamt of landing on the moon. You should know what happened after. Lol. It's good to dream for something better, it just needs a bit of work to make it a reality. Every good thing does need a bit of hard work. |
Fulaman198: A happy wife means a happy life. I would do anything for her if I truly love her. No matter what happens, loving someone means you are going to be there for them no matter what situation they are in. A husband supports his wife, and vice versa. A wife is a husband's best friend and lifetime partner. You are always supposed to have your wives back 24/7.Very noble ideals my only sincere problem with people with this "love conquers everything" thoughts is that they are sometimes too far away from reality. I just hope and pray you can match the thoughts with equal actions. Amin |
deols: I didnt understand you at first but I must say that this makes much sense.Yes na. You aren't expected to be straining your neck to look at the other yard when you have made your choice. |
maclatunji: Self-restraint a.k. a. discipline.Biggest mistake someone would make. So because he/she loves you stop making an effort? Their eye go clear. Don't worry someone outside is ready and willing to help you "maintain" and shower them with lots of love. |
maclatunji: You are assuming that the ideal spouse is "perfect". Now, point out to me one perfect person you know.No one is, That's why you "close your eyes" once you have chosen the best available and accept that person as the perfect. Even if you meet Miss world(just as example) later, your spouse still remains that perfect choice. You have no right to think otherwise. If however that's how some people think then i am sorry. They have a long way to go and marriage actually is not for them. They can as well work out signing yearly contracts only to be extended if they don't meet their ideal spouse. Should work out well for them. |
I suggest that one studiouslyAin't that going for the available best material? So why feel bad when someone else comes along in future? |
baba11: I am not the type that waste my time unjustly.I used to c pple watching it and atimes when I switch to my local TV stations,it and most love stories from mexicans and co are being done. I regard anybody that love watching it as highly unserious and of low intelligent scale because how will someone be teaching u how to love, how to live your life etc.Is Quran, hadith etc not be enough!!Although it's a preference. Some use it to relax, that you don't watch doesn't make them less intelligent. People may say same of you watching football or something that interests you also. As for the price. There's no free meal in freetown. Maybe you check your bank balance. It might interest you that i just recieved an alert. Lol. |
joywendy: lmao! I no dey oh, maybe I was in another planet at that time.Eyah sorry. You should know your country was once good and things extremely affordable. I used take 50kobo to primary school then as pocket money and i still returned home with 25k or 10k after i had bought one cup of groundnut and one wrap of Baba dudu. NSTA bus fare was just 1 naira then. Lol. Don't worry we are working on a time travel machine to take you back. |
http://www.irfi.org/articles/articles_151_200/ayesha_age_the_myth_of__a_prover.htm Just got that link. Yet to verify the hadith sources and how strong they are but from the little i have read seems they are correct and have very concrete evidence to disprove the earlier notion of 9 year old. Also according to another narrative in Bukhari, Aisha is reported to have said: “I was a young girl (jariyah in Arabic)”when Surah Al-Qamar was revealed. (Sahih Bukhari, kitabu’l-tafsir, Bab QaulihiBal al-sa`atu Maw`iduhum wa’l-sa`atu adha’ wa amarr). And it's a known fact that Chapter 54 of the Quran was revealed eight years before hijrah which means there's no way she would be 9 at the point of marriage when she was a young girl when that Surah was released. |
usermane: These things have been cut and dried. Here:Okay seen the link. Hijra was 622 A.D. Asma was born 593A.D. Making her 29 as at then. Do we have any sources that states that Asma was 10 years older? The only contradictory source i have got as of now in relation to her age is this quote. So,based on one account of Al-Tabari the numbers show that Ayesha must have born (613CE) three years after the beginning of revelation (610 CE). And yet inSeems like we are having leads to clearing things. We all know revelation started in 610, and if Aisha were to born pre revelation, then there's in no way she's below 14 let alone 9 at the point of marriage. But wait , why has there never been an official inquiry to dispute these hadiths? At least to establish the facts. If you can at least help me lay hands on that hadith stating Asma was ten years older then i would really appreciate it. See, that's how pragmatic people work. You give evidence. We aren't close minded. |
baba11: Henhen,is it all the data transmission within Nigeria boundaries I intend to receive. My network doesn't need to be 2 secured,so I still stick my neck out with WiFi.Optic fibre=2xpensiveOk o. Don't blame me when you recieve only 2.3 yards out of the 10yards of wife material. |
joywendy: lol! Are you for real? N15So you no dey when gala was 5 naira and contained real beef and tasted lovely not this ones that taste like microwaving grilled paper soaked in water and laced with caked tomato paste at the centre. |
baba11: This is exactly how it should be!Maybe, we watch telemundo abi wetin dem dey call am sef 2 much?but wait ooo,me sef my favourite movies na Bollywood's and I know dey think of love!love!!love!!!Something is wrong somewhere#ithinkso!!!!the moment we stop stereotyping, the better our life will be#justsayingYeah true. But wait you also watch telemundo abi Wetin una dey call am. Please what is about? God knows i just hear and see people commenting about it,don't even know what it deals with except that it is a tv show or so. |
baba11: just 10yards only, make I on my wifiThat would be too slow, why you no carry fiber cable just connect the network. I no wan missing bandwidth or some yards getting lost due to connectivity. |
maclatunji: You are belabouring the issue, the ideal is one thing, reality is another. If people observed this simple rule, there would not be marital strife would there? That's me talking na. I do believe in the "ideal" not the abnormal excuse the religious injunctions. "Only those of us"? So you are not going to follow bandwagon? That's good. |
baba11: Can you do itYou mean him commiting suicide because of love? Lol. Fulaman... Too much fairy tale novels is not good for ones health. |
baba11:How many yards do you want? Or na bundle you wan carry? |
usermane: Even pragmatic orthodox muslims know that Bukhari 's report was a fake & Aisha was well beyond 9 before her marriage. If you were pragmatic. You would know that you don't disprove something which has evidence and is well documented as fake until you have a counter evidence which nullifies earlier beliefs or facts. Until then, you can hold your peace. That's how pragmatic people work. |
maclatunji: I laugh at your 3 questions. Is there an automatic switch that makes one immune from being attracted to the opposite gender after marriage? I think not.Note my use of the word "You still looking outside" which means you should have self restraint once you made the choice. Marriage does not confer that automatically, but it's expected you make that decision and effort. |
pickabeau1: i read the link and it explains a lot about knowledge, philosophy etcLol.. It may seem too philosophical and confusing but just remove the Arabia words and make do with their english ones and you should be fine. Shehuaba.... Most of her questions bordered on socio cultural issues except for maybe one or two. I guess her intentions is to seek knowledge and better understanding and not outright confrontation. If she indeed wanted that, she could as well have made up her mind and not ask questions. @deols As for the Houris or no Houris for the men, I PERSONALLY believe there's not that much understanding of that aspect. The use of the "male" adjective to qualify the people in most of those verses may not necessarily denote God was explicitly refering to men. Who knows what forms the human body would take after entering paradise? Maybe there won't even be any distinction between male and female or there would be no gender at all. A pointer to this believe by me is the numerous verses which always states this but most times people only interpret it as having only direct effect on earth. Also when people talk of paradise we certainly forget one other part. The Jinns. Who here knows about them or in what forms they come or how this verses will pertain to them? One of those verses is this..."I shall not lose sight of the labor of any of you who labors in My way, be it man or woman;each of you is equal to the other(3:195)" And it concludes here... note the word "creatures" not only the Humankind alone. "...and Allah means no injustice to any of His creatures." (Qur'an 3 :108). I don't think there's going to be a differential treatment or preference. It's us that see things as male and female, Jinns and non Jinns, black, white, purple and even green. He sees us as just one thing. His creatures. |
pickabeau1: Thanks bro.. i had read it but did not get the pointExactly what the story was trying to teach but man in his ego and shortsightedness would want to always question God's ways. The story is just a reflection that we need to dump the physical brain or intellect and garb the spiritual wear before we maybe able to understand somethings. Not everything that happens or instructed should be seen in black and white but shades of grey. This link perfectly captures, analysizes things and explains the story. http://simerg.com/parables/the-parable-of-moses-and-khidr-in-the-holy-qur’an-an-ismaili-interpretation/ |
http://www.alim.org/library/biography/stories/content/SOP/7/17/Musa%20(Moses)/The%20Story%20Moses%20and%20Al-Khidr Pickabeau1 or check that link. Has the story. |
^^^^^Chai... Una go soon learn that love is never enough. Although it's very important but not the all in all. For a marriage to work the two partners must have come to terms that it takes "constant hard work" from both to make it a success and they would disagree, fight about most things but both recognise that they have a single goal which is making the "marriage a success." And that up there should include respecting the other, not fighting dirty when disagreements crop up, both listen, listen and listen to the other, see each other as partners in progress and not oga and worker. Find someone who share these and you are on a road to a blissful, long and happy married life God willing. |
baba11: Which materials?is it clothes materials or house materials??Wife or husband material na. |
deols: Not even the women have that excuse. If u are not yet 40, there is no cause for alarmYour first paragraph hmmm. Tell that to your family and society. Hit 29.99 and there's no clear cut person in the picture and you would be a candidate for numerous prayer points. As for your last....Might be true...but i don't think its the sole reason. Not sampled people's opinion in that direction though... However, If that was the case, people would just get married to anyone just to satisfy those needs. |
