Fulaman198: Feel free to ask any questions, I specialise in this kind of thing.Yeah sure and tribal issues also. ![]() |
ifyalways: No, I won't be attending.Wa alaykum Salam. Ok. No wahala. |

Peterock0009: True, I was expecting Osogbo too to be in dat list, aside d good power supply, transportation within d city is one of d cheapest I av ever seenMoney i spend on stressfully boarding rickety looking buses in Lagos for a day would carry me round Osogbo in a decent bus for a week and still have change for a bottle of water. That's how cheap it is. |
koonbey: This is ridiculous, which Party calls the other "Apes and Swine"? Which Set of People have repeatedly stated their Wish to annihilate Israel? Which Set of People actively supported Adolf Hitler's Holocaust, sending Troops and Clerics to "bless" them?you think this about me trying to defend a position? All i care about is peace and as of now Israel holds the ace to making that work out. If you want links to their pitiable comments there are tons of them. Even their activity of using f16 precision fighter jets to phosphorus bombs alone shows how much they "love" the palestinian civilians. Or have you forgotten the bombing of a UN building which housed children and women the last time such a fiasco broke out? I guess if it were syria or iran that did the same thing the usual war mongers would have carried their beats out and not lets us hear word about a dictator and would have earnestly start pushing for a military intervention with their useless "red lines". Stop being blind to all these acts of oppression. You should have a conscience please. Lets say hamas stops throwing mortars into israel. What happens next? What would israel do? Go on and continue the building of settlements in disputed areas, seizing flottilas and killing sailors and humanitarians delivering aid to these hapless people? All these past few months that tensions have been minimal what did Israel do? Turn away from dialogue so they could extend the embargo on building new settlements? Ain't it what they have been doing? Also tell me what's in it for the palestinians? Isn't the life they live not worse enough? Please eschew bias and say things the way they are. I wish these attacks would seize forever but we can't achieve true peace when we shy away from telling ourselves the bitter truth. |
koonbey: I agree with the first bolded,I had read that Israel was exploring for Oil in occupied Territory and frankly; I was very distressed, that just shouldn't be.You haven't heard israeli leaders talk i bet? They make it seem like the palestinians are lesser humans not worthy of living. All these talks rockets or no rockets thrown is just mere beating around the bush and avoiding the main issues here. Let israel return to the discussion table and accept a two party state, withdrawing from disputed lands and allowing freedom for the people. Even US which is their staunch supporter have reiterated this point over and over again. Why would they choose to be bullies always? What the multitude of people who continue defending israel fail to understand is the more you keep on pounding under the disguise of defending your people the more you raise more Armies and volunteers for hamas and extending the long lists of your enemies. |
traware: You posted a mickey mouse link. You check this link and be enlightened:lol. You funny o. Who's link is a mickey mouse one? Is it me or you ? Do you actually know you are quoting wiki as an authoritative source for citation? Go check the meaning of what a Wiki is and come back. Maybe we can have a debate after then. |
Say (O Muhammad ﺻﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭﺳﻠﻢ ): "(But) the things that my Lord has indeed forbidden are Al- Fawâhish (great evil sins and every kind of unlawful sexual intercourse) whether committed openly or secretly, sins (of all kinds), unrighteous oppression, joining partners (in worship) with Allâh for which He has given no authority, and saying things about Allâh of which you have no knowledge." I don't know how humans can't follow simple instructions. I guess proponents of same sex marriages would have a rethink now. The human race would certainly be the one to bring upon destruction on itself. http://time.com/2975573/who-hiv-aids-gay-men-homosexual-epidemic-rise/ |
LarrySun: @bolded, you're too much. Lol! Why did the chicken cross the road? That got me cracking.I guess Hon patrick answered that question some time back. Or is it okotie? I just got a better understanding of your question on if love is a chemical reaction. Looking at it more critically. I would say yes. If people took drugs to suppress or boost their hormones and can take drugs to supperss depression or some that aggravate it then i would say love is a feeling just like depression, euphoria etc..and largely a chemical reaction in the body. Maybe one day they would be able to get a drug combination to spike it and feed an overdose to our dear leaders. |
traware: BULLSH.IT!!!Where do chicks hatch from?An .... Sir,stop confusing yourselfCan you give/argue based on facts and logic? I can as well come here and claim the moon is green. Provide us with your well detailed arguments to support your position not just words. Check this link. Maybe you would be enlightened. http://metro.co.uk/2010/07/13/the-chicken-came-first-not-the-egg-scientists-prove-447738/ |
anuville: Its as if non of the engineers is seeing my post, or is it that I'm not posting it in the manner i shud?you are posting rightly. Your audio device is failing. Go to their official site and download another audio driver. Would solve it. |
koonbey: Another Thing is your deliberate closing of Eyes to the Fact that the Number of Rockets launched against Israel is much higher than those launched by Israel, and that Hamas,Palestinian Islamic Jihad,Fatah and co,launch these Rockets indiscriminately into Civilian Population Centers... I'm sure that does not go against your own Conception of the "Dignity of our Humanity",does it?This unrest in the ME is more political than religious. vedaxcool... Spot on. @koonbey. Such nice thoughts you would think but you forget that this same problems will continue to reoccur over and over again. One wants a stoppage of encroachment and construction on disputed lands and International recognition of it as a State the other vehemently refutes this position and continues to expand into disputed areas even after having their own state and blocks the other into a hole shutting off water supplies, blocking food aids and the freedom of the other. You don't need to be a surgeon to know who's the bully here. I don't really support the throwing of rockets by both parties but you need to feel for the hapless civilians in palestine. You can't blame them for Hamas hiding it stockpile in their midst and launching attacks from there. If you are in a war zone and militants put a gun to your head to either allow them use your property or not. It is a "are you for us or against us " case (i.e die). I hope you tell them no. This innocent civilians israel is shooting at can't escape the conflict because of the barricade neither would israel allow a two state solution so each can be sovereign and take their own decisions and determine their future. If you ask me. They are culpable for all civilian deaths that results from this because they have been the one to have renege twice now in a row when multi party peace talks were called to find a lasting solution to the issue. |
Would be available for the Lagos iftaar. But seeing the names on the list and thoughts of meeting them scares the shit out of me. Jazakum. Lets keep them coming. Ifyalways..where are you? Attending? |
sunnyshayne: Quite insightful and educative. Do you know i used to think those who snore, sleep better! Everyday na book!ewwwwwh... So you thought like that? Lol The sound they make is enough to distort their sleep. It's not uncommon to see the turning and changing positions every 30 minutes showing they are not in deep sleep. |
LarrySun: You've perfectly answered my questions, I admire your wits. But just for light arguments' sake, isn't it not uncommon to find a touch of romance in every mystery novel? And some popular romance stories have been spiced with scientific facts. Some people say falling in love is a chemical reaction.Yeah true. It however interest you that some writers outsource such aspects of their novels to others and adapting such to the storyline. At least i have read an interview where the writer did confess she wasn't good with all those mushy stuff and her sister was the one that does help her rewrite those aspects. Also understand that publishing is a big biz and if you want to sell your book and appeal to a wider audience you need to include those romantic aspects else na only old women go read your book. So most go learn it or use professional editors and so on. That they write it doesn't mean they are capable of "recreating the magic" they write about. To them it's all about the mega bucks it fetchs. To hell with love and romance! Lol. As for chemical reaction- which type? Oxidation, reduction or addition? |
LarrySun: Nice knowing you, onegig.Nice knowing you too. I see you write lovely books and can see your defense of your constituency here. Don't fret, you would make a nice lover judging by the excerpts of your books i have browsed through. |
LarrySun: Here is the problem. We don't want to derail the thread. Maybe his own side of science would tell us how humans also came from a podlike womb or we just evolved from the sperm. So why didn't the chicks continue to come from "self developing" eggs dropped from heaven or from evolution. Why haven't we found eggs after then that have self evolved? Also,I thought according to this same science evolution took millions of years to achieve in most species. How come the chicks mastered the art of producing the same identical eggs with all the same characteristics they broke out from just in a matter of months? Isn't it crazy and ironic that you know how to produce what predates and created you in a matter of months? |
LarrySun: And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind; and God saw that it was good. And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.Looking at things scientifically would show the chicks came first. There must be mating i.e s.exual or asexual reproduction in all living organisms before the production of an offspring. |
LarrySun: Oh! Thanks brother. That's quite insightful. God bless your wisdom. When a piece of paper is blown into this law-court of believability, it may take a yoke of oxen to drag it out again. I'm not arguing the truth that God is the first writer, but shouldn't there be a first reader as well? You want a name for the first reader? Adam would be a perfect choice i wanna pick because life is a story itself. God the writer and the first man the reader to experience the story. As for your later parts of the argument. I agree but you would also agree to this fact that it takes someone with a deep understanding a topic to write on such. Show me that one writer who's equally and deeply knowledgeable in three of more distinct fields i.e science-fic, romance, mystery books And can write a best seller in all? It's easier for me to read a wide spectrum of books from different fields . Take whatever lesson i fancy and move on than for a writer to write something intriguing in all fields. There's bound to be a specialization and this narrows their scope of what your "average" writer would read. So as regards to the topic. I can say all readers(at least who pass a certain criteria) can be a good lovers . However it would be mutually exclusive to say the same for just all writers. |
LarrySun: Which came first: The chicken or the egg?God is the first writer. Humans(his messengers were the first readers) so there's no ambiguity about which came first. The word "reader" used in this article i assume describes people who read and take fanciful interests in anything from a pop corn receipt to a War memoir. Such exposure gives them a broader view and understanding of many things. However, some writers are just aligned and narrowed to some genre and they project their thoughts on such topics alone. A writer is a reader but not all writers are "vast" readers. Most just read things pertaining to their areas of interest and then write on them. I doubt you would expect an average Mills and Boom writer to pen a book like "audacity of hope" or "There was a country" and i would be largely suprised if Obama or Achebe can pull off an Harlequin styled romance novel. |
thelastmediator: There is enormous power in being a reader. You surely know when to strike and when to play the victim, so much weapon in your arsenal to turn any situation around but there is a very high tendency of being manipulative because you can predict the next possible set of events almost accurately.True! And can be disastrous for your daily inter personal interactions with people as you are always in a constant state of "analysing and criticizing" people's actions. You tend to judge their current actions to predict their next moves based on previous experience you have read about. This can turn out very bad for you if the result doesn't follow your assumptions. I have made informed decisions based on the wealth of experience i gathered from reading and i have made silly errors sometimes due to it. Just learn to balance it and don't really take everything you read to heart nor should you take them as the gospel truth. |
Tenison96: How does that promote tourism? You can't understand. The book's details even increase the yearning of a reader to want to visit a place you have read and connect physically with the descriptions you have created in your head. No matter how much you try. You got nothing on readers!!! |
Only those who are readers would understand and appreciate this article. A single book is a narration of numerous experience, thoughts and ideas. A reader may not have physically left a place all their lives but they have traveled in their minds to thousands of cities and have gained experience from such "trips". Such a feat that an avid globetrotter can't even boast of in a lifetime. |
Try ascertaining the true relationship status of the lady. I doubt she's in anyway related to him. I won't be suprised if she's one of his booty calls and the other guy is in on it. Most guys are always partners in crime in such cases. Saying they are relatives is to maybe hoodwink you. Timing is also crazy. I doubt this visit is a coincidence. Why is it during the absence of his wife? And does your sister know of this lady? |
Ashkormissy: Nd dat gives him d ryt to question Allah? And who said i sided with his questioning? I was only responding to your post. EnlightenedSoul: Actually, it all boils down to genetics. Not totally correct. Although it's not been confirmed but there are substantial evidence which points to the fact that external factors can alter the gene pool and cause damages which might lead to deformed offsprings. Check the aftermath of the Hiroshima atomic bomb blast. It's well documented that thousands of Offsprings of victims who were affected still suffer from diseases which were caused by impaired genes as a result of their exposure to the radioactive materials. So he is not to far from the truth. Actually, most of these cases of deformed babies are as a result of activities of we humans. Just take a look at all what we keep doing from genetically modified foods, to use of harmful chemicals, nuclears materials proliferation and radiation and illicit drugs. All these are body altering processes. The man involved in the last quote i made on the previous page confessed to the fact that they were totally drunk on the night of the act of mating which led to the pregnancy. So you can't rule such things out. |
Ashkormissy: Blockus blockus blockus....... So u re among dose dat bring abt religious crisis. Ah aint a christain by Allah, i'm a practising muslim nd i'm happy even wen ma lyf isnt a bed of roses ah always hav one reason to thank Allahu subhanahu wata alaPlease consult your sources well. It's permissible if it is established by the medical team that such a kid would live a distressed and highly deformed life to terminate it under islamic jurisdictions. It just applies strict rules of applications. On mobile would have given you citations. |
bushdoc9919: Am I?No one says it's an easy thing to do but all these peeps should please be realistic and logical. Would you want your kid to go through such when you know chances of survival are next to nothing? I know you would mention God. But God gave us a brain to use. GOD is behind all the inventions we have made through science and he didn't allow us just make that but to use it to better our lives. True you can't apply this to everyday occurence. But there are extreme cases like this were such is permitted. I don't know for other religion but mine definitely leaves room for termination in such a scenario under strict and guided rules of application. The rule of greater good supercedes the emotion and moral high ground some people might want to be claiming. Here's another story. Maybe this would open your eyes and see how it's plain injustice on the part of the parents to bring such kid to life. THat is a similar thing that I had |
