Only1babadee:
Good morning House,

Quick one, I'd done WES evaluation for my Bsc at the time WAEC certificate was not required, now I'm done with MBA (executive) and applied to evaluate that too.

Issues is that its requesting WAEC, I should think that should not apply especially when I have been verified previously evaluated.
Also, can someone please refer me to the page where that was discussed here. I'm sure someone would have broken down the WAEC thing.

Then anyone who has evaluated MBA executive with WES, did you get Masters evaluation?
I just checked my WES timeline, the WAEC requirement has disappeared. Just transcript and certificate only..

Can someone help with my second question?

Thanks

Can I claim CRS 15 points for my hubby's sister who lives in Ontario. Their relationship is not direct but they share the same Grandmother. The said Grandmother gave birth to my father-in-law's father and the woman's (in Ontario) grandmother. They donot share the same surname because she is a woman and you know women change their surname once married. PLEASE IS IT POSSIBLE FOR ME TO CLAIM THE 15 POINTS? We have told her and she agreed to do it. What are some of the documents she is required to fill or provide?
I really don't know how to place this relationship but, if the said relative falls within the category as posted below, then you can claim even if your hubby isn't the PA

I AM WOWED!!! I intend adopting your method because we need to preserve the cash and stress of IELTS and ECA for my hubby. I intend writing the IELTS alone and coming out with flying colours. I REALLY NEED TO PRACTICE INTENSIVELY. My fear though is the POF for two people; a whooping fee of 15,530 Canadian dollars. Only God can help us. It will definitely end in praise!
Don't be bothered about the money, there are so many hurdles to cross before you get there, start, I haven't seen anyone who didn't make it cos POF is not available (Not necessarily saying there'd been none, I just haven't seen). Focus on the immediate hurdles to be crossed, I tell you those are more than POF, the WES struggle, the IELTS, when you get to POF bridge, you'll cross it. Fear not Sister.

Good morning fellow nairalanders.

Kindly help with this question.

I am about to enter the pool but I need to get clarifications from the experienced ones. I am a single man but I have a son. How am I going to indicate this in the profile? Would the POF be for one person or two because of the baby? Please help out.

Thank you for your responses.
Baba, I'm in your shoes, and I have filled mine, me and my daughter indicated that makes us 2 and POF will be for 2, your son will do medicals too and I think the mother will do too, whether your son is accompanying or not, the POF must be for 2.

Only1babadee and Mzjennypher I need help.
I know you once had issues with your profile please help.

I created an express entry profile but later withdrew it. I wanted to create a new EE profile but found out that my previous account was still active (not deactivated). I logged in to find that I still have an account but it's states that my profile has been withdrawn.
In fact it mentioned my name and welcomed me. I'm a bit worried with this development, and don't know if I did it wrongly. How do I know it has been withdrawn?

Cc-Everyone
Kyaggy, I apologise I'm just seeing this, has this been resolved? Withdrawing your EE profile does not mean you have deactivated your account, in point of fact you will still be able to view the withdrawn application. What is most important is the EE profile you create how you log on in my own opinion has little bearing.

You can PM me if this does not suffice. The Middle profile was the one I withdrew so you can see how it will look.

How does the provincial nomination work?
At the expense of not sounding too gloomy, PNP is a long route, maybe more expensive depending on province, and above all your stay/residence status is restricted to the province that nominate you. Try max out here, IELTS can give you more boost as your simulation scores here still can be optimized. There's a thread for PNP on nairaland here

Oh.... That's where the problem lays. Why don't you give IELTS second attempt. 8777 should give 440 at least. It can be frustrating but it worth giving it all.
8777 will give you 429. If LLB is evaluated as Bachelors and 469 if evaluated as professional qualification which is the correct one anyways. You can max out IELTS as 8777 is not even the highest lot of people on here have more. All the best

I think this thread is about life as a canadian immigrant? But now it has been derailed to how to get FRSC letter,, WES evaluation and other unrelated discussions.
No Building pix, no winter situation pix and rest of things that can make prospective immigrants eager to migrate
We'll I don't totally share your view, life as an immigrant requires that you fully function, being able to drive around is part of it, we're all just trying to make settling down in Canada as easy as possible. On people with WES, the discussion relates mostly to upgrading evaluation and it's prospects not the pre ITA evaluation.

Hello every one. I am reading from the 2 thread. From the information i am seeing there, i don't have to access my degree if i have a masters.
So this is my case
Degree from a Nigerian university
Masters from a UK university

Can someone confirm for real that if i focused on just the UK Master transcript to WES, this would not become an issue for me. Anyone with a positive testimony of this should please share. Ejo...

PS: The only reason i'm not inclined to go ahead with the degree transcript is the associated cost. My school is fairly decent in responding to foreign bodies....
I confirm to you for real that your UK masters is fully sufficient. Don't do long thing

Thanks, I had to create a new one. Better than having to explain missing name later

Good morning House. Please has anyone been in my shoes before and how did you resolve it. My school said my transcript has been sent to WES since last week and according to the tracking number that was given to me, it got to WES on Friday, but my account still says transcript has not been received. I've mailed WES but got no reply. Don't know the next step to take.....Thanks in advance.
A friend had a similar dilema, I advised him to fax them the details, he did and got an almost instant update. Try script your tracking details and delivery timeline on MS word, convert it to PDF and Fax to them using online fax.

Please FUTO guys here. Which courier service do they use to send transcript to Canada and how do you track it?
You'll need to find that out from the school. irrespective of the one they use you cannot track if they don't release the tracking number/waybill number to you. Best bet, call the school.

Please house I need inputs,

I work in Trade services in one of the Top tier banks in Nigeria, there's a certification we do in Trade FINANCE that is conducted by the Canadian body of Trade finance, it starts with the diploma stage (600USD), then diploma + Experience can make you sit for the Professional stage (Another 600USD), Money is not the problem, my bank will refund tuition upon success, but I want inputs and opinions from the house, Will I be able to score points on CRS for the Canadian Diploma awarded (it is online course and exam can't get WES evaluation cos it is Canadian)? For reference the said diploma is FITT and it has a professional stage too.

I dont see any problem with adding your daughter as a dependent. It will not raise any issue. Infact if you dont add her as a dependant/family member now, it will pose a problem in future if you ever want to file for her to join you in canada. She needs to reflect in your application whether she is going with you or not. You will also need to show POF for family of 2.
Ok, Thanks, but for the POF, this will be done irrespective of whether she's going or not at the moment?

A quick one house, this is quite peculiar, I am hopeful for an ITA based on my IELTS scores, other credentials and what I am able to get on CRS calculator, only ECA is delaying my submission, however I have a daughter, though not married(Never married), I will want to include my daughter in my application for EE, the mother is cool with it and we have no custody issue (She's married to someone else), Is it advisable to declare her as a dependant? Won't questions be raised?
Please advise on how best to approach this.
NB: She's 10 yrs old.
