an ethnic group where a gelegele ijaw does not understand or share any cultural simialrity with a kalabari man

or where an okirika man does not share culture, food, language name etc with gelegele ijaw. yet they are call ijaws

Igbos ethinic group is one of the largest in Nigeria and as such should be not rubbished. All this "big brother" mentality is killing the igbos. that is a fact

Ijaws and other groups hope to take your place as soon as they have the chance.

There is nothing like "Niger Delta"; there is Ijaw land. There are many tribes in Niger delta region; and Igbo is one of the biggest tribes there. I just found out that some idiotic Ijaw was boasting about killing Igbos in their God given land in Rivers state.
I am thinking about beginning a campaign to change back the oil derivation sharing formula.
It hasn't ensured any peace in that region.

BTW the offshore oil belongs to ALL Nigerians.

As for the arms thing, people should know that Igbo are manufacturers and suppliers of arms (i.e. southern Ngwa, Abala in particular, and it's ND militant clientele). So if necessary, Igbo can always manufacture for itself (Ngwa can manufacture and supply to other Igbo). It shouldn't even be an issue.

I'm sorry Chinenye, but that is THE SAME MISTAKE our leaders made in 1966/67.
They kept throwing about these myths of Igbo producing arms and all that stuff. Awka people produce guns, etc.
Yes, we finally got to produce some; but it was in the middle of the war -at the wrong time! 

We dissipated energy, trying to manufacture arms, while our enemies simply had ready arms to import.
We must not make that same mistake again.

What we need NOW is a country to ally with; a strong country.
Our best bet for now remains ISRAEL.

@Onlytruth, MASSOB is becoming a waste of time. While I admire their non-violent nature I find it stup!d that they think in a Nigerian environment that they will be taken serious or respected. If MASSOB was well armed to the teeth and always ready to strike back when attacked they would have achieved more by now. Even if they don't want to go that route they should have a militant wing that does the ground battle for them. They make the Igbo people and to an extent our neighbors look so damn weak. If they don't have the stomach for that then their leadership should stop wasting times and lives of its members who fall victims daily to murderous Nigerian authorities.

Even the non-violent African National Congress (ANC), still had to form Mkonto we sizwe (MK) to be taken seriously.
I'm really angry at Uwazurike and his philosophy of non-violence. All he has achieved so far is the death of his members. There is a time and place for everything. I am not against non-violence; but I am against MASSOB being non-violent because of what Nigeria is.

Some of the deceived Igbos think it would ever stop. It will NEVER stop because we have never shown the world that we won't take it. It started as early as 1945, continued into 1953, and boomed into a huge murder spree in 1966/67.
It has continued ever since.
To kill Igbo is a favorite sport in Northern Nigeria. But I'm only focusing on how to put a FINAL stop to all that.

My own intelligence  tells me otherwise. The whole thing still sounds like 1966. They were killing our people all over Nigeria, but Ojukwu was busy staying calm instead of seeking immediate international military alliances even before going to Aburi.
Our people have a history of complacency until is it too late.
