Posted by: ezeagu What is in Anambra state that isn't in Abia, in fact, what has Anambra achieved that should warrant the comparison or insult of Abia state? How can there be one-Igbo when someone is clearly an Anambra before Igbo, otherwise what is the comparison over states about? If we're going to talk about potential of the states, then what is the potential of Anambra surviving without getting to the ocean through other states? If you are speaking without complexes and pre-set mindset, you would at least show me where I said that Anambra citizens are superior Igbos. I even attack anyone here who try to do that. My reply was to South East, who wanted to insinuate that Abia has things Anambra lacks, eg, land, mineral etc. I'm tired of carrying Igbo cross alone. If other Igbos don't want unity, so be it. Though I think it is re-tarded not to want unity. Anambra gains NOTHING SPECIAL from such unity. ![]() @South East, I really think you should change your username to Abia. Onye mu na ya n'achu nta siri na ukwu m di ka ukwu ene. Don't hoodwink us patriotic Igbos with your moniker. ![]() BTW I won't have that debate about which Igbo state would survive Nigeria's disintegration. It is a mundane topic. ![]() |
Posted by: ak47mann i can see were only truth is coming from, anambra in terms of infrastructure and biggest market in west Africa they got it nnewi is now full with none indigenous people even our old house in nnewi the care taker is from ebony state. And anambra got the best roads network in SE it connect to village to villages i mean i can drive to imo state in 10 mins from nnewi without matching any brake thats one thing i respected ngige for, he apply the same quality of roads i see in EUROPE from nkpor to oba to ojoto all the way to capital AKWA and OBI is now finishing up what he left behind the road that lead from Amichi nnewi to imo state is express road no pot holes,@ak47mann Some of our brothers from Abia think that there are no Abians in Anambra state. Nnewi, the last time I was home was almost completely foreign to me. Did anyone see me complain here? I wonder what makes some of our brothers from Abia think that there are more Anambra citizens in Abia than Abians in Anambra. Or that Igbo unity is more important to us than other Igbos. I just wonder. ![]() Also, when some of them chant Igbo unity, I wonder what is really going on in their minds. ![]() This policy is riddled with what I call "Igbo unity land mines". No one knows the full impact on Igbo unity. It is indefensible, and can only be defended by folks with short vision. ![]() |
Anyway, I gotta run. |
Posted by: asha 80 by now you should know i have always seen Orji as a cretin.Well, I'm really happy about your position. I guess it is now only Dede1, Afam4eva (converted), yourself and I that are kicking against this. |
Posted by: asha 80 i can see onlytruth has not changed. And I guess you support Theodore Orji? ![]() |
@ezeagu, You were talking some sense and giving some flesh to your position here. . You have to see it like this: What are a couple of Anambra traders in Aba doing for development in the south east? Very little, now measure the effects of most of the Anambra, Abia, Imo, Enugu, Ebonyi, etc. middle class indigenes rushing back into these states from Lagos, Abuja, Kano, Kaduna, Jos, Benin, etc. Can you imagine the amount of pressure this could cause for development? Not to even talk of the effects on the Igbo kids who know little to nothing about their culture and language.. . and you suddenly said this: Posted by: ezeagu Exactly why Igbo people are not a "inseparable-nation", the same statements above is the reason why there are so many groups disassociating themselves with the Igbo label lest they become census boosters for people with superiority complexes. You shouldn't forget that Omambara has no ties to the Atlantic ocean whatsoever. You see why some of my Nnewi brothers laugh at me when I talk about Igbo being one. Where did that come from? I was responding to South-East who is always into statistics about land and space. After interacting with some of you guys, believe me , I wonder how Ojukwu was able to hold Biafra together for almost 3 years. You always feel funny. Is Abia state richer than Anambra state? Even potentially? If you believe that, you are deceiving yourself. ![]() Your "Omambara has no ties to the Atlantic ocean whatsoever" remark is the most reta-rded post you ever made on Nairaland. Do you have that access? mscheeew. ![]() Nna I'm really disappointed in you frankly, |
@South-East For everything you listed about Abia, Anambra state has it more. In fact Anambra state is FAR richer in terms of human, natural and land/agricultural resources. I won't debate that because it is self evident. Again, such debate is for folks with time on their hands. I don't have such time. Igboland is more interesting and I can give my time to it. @Topic, Governor Orji is a certified GOAT. ![]() Here is where I leave the thread now. Signing off. Yours truly, Onlytruth. ![]() |
@ ChinenyeN Seriously speaking now. There is not a single civil service person in my entire lineage. We are businessmen through and through. Stepping over you now , . . . as always. IGNORED. ![]() |
@ChinenyeN LOL you think my family land is in danger in anyway? Keep dreaming. BTW we own half of Aba. ![]() Now go and die. ![]() |
Posted by: South-East Therein lies the problem: understanding. He cannot feel that other Igbos are making money in Abia more than others because those he sacked are civil servants whose salaries will not be different from those of their Abia equivalents. Got it? BTW, how did you draw the conclusion that those sacked are all Igbos? Did you read about the Yoruba man in the first article? I know people from Akwa Ibom working in Abia State. It is self evident. Again, even if FEW Igbos are affected, Orji has put a knife further into the Igbo unity project. His policy is myopic and almost re-tarded. I'm not even talking about other Nigerians now; just Igbo. The ramifications for other Igbo outside Igboland is even bigger. Civil service retrenchments are always huge issues. Folks don't forget it fast. He should create jobs for Abians by other means. Populist and ill-thought out policies should be condemned. |
Posted by: South-East As we speak, many are happy in Abia about this. And how did you arrive at your own conclusion that those non-Abians are more educated than Abians or that most kidnappers in Anambra are from Abia?People (especially lazy ones) are always happy when told that "foreigners" are to be sent packing. Check your history. I tell you, Abia is in for a very rough ride and for a very long time. I see why a character like Orji managed to hold the state hostage. Again, education statistics don't play much role in Nigerian politics. Igbos are perhaps the most educated of the majority tribes in Nigeria, but we are the least powerful politically in Nigeria; and yes even other groups dominate the federal civial service more than us, despite our education. There is a reason for that. |
Posted by: South-East If you think Abians are less educated than other Igbos, even when JAMB/other literacy records stare you in the face, then I think I know whom you are in real life? I have squared up with such parochial argument in the past.I doubt that we've met in real life. I don't dwell on statistics because it is a windy issue especially when it deals with who is more educated that the other. I am more into real issues. The issue here is "INCOME" not education. Maybe he feels that other Igbos are making money in Abia state more than Abians. I doubt whether he understands the full import of that mindset. |
Posted by: South-East Nobody dreams such a dream more than me. But first, this particular anomaly (a whopping 50% of Abia workforce not coming from that state) has to be redressed. I have nothing personal to gain here; I do not live anywhere near Nigeria.Again, you have no credible source to back that up. But like I said, it is not the issue. The way a rat addresses a water socked skin is different from the way a lizard address the same problem. We Igbos are rats in Nigeria. We cannot afford to swim or play with water. Orji should see the larger picture or else he is endangering Igbo unity. Nuff said. |
Posted by: South-East Do you support that 50% of the state workforce of Abia will be composed of non-Abians when this appears not to be the case in other states?Like I said, statistics is a powerful tool in the hands of deviant and failed administrators. Anybody can pull statistics from anywhere to justify evil. I strongly doubt that those workers were not more qualified than Abians. Normally that is how such things happen. But like I said already, the issue is "income". If Orji wants to improve the economic fortunes of his people, he can support an aggressive job creation with massive investments. He can do that, but he won't because he is busy stealing. I can now understand why SE governors can't come together to do regional economic development. How can a Peter Obi and Rochas Okorocha work with a tunnel-visioned Theodore Orji? Or even an Enugu-only visioned Chime? Igbos should kick these governors out if they want to be relevant in Nigeria, or if they want to develop SE into an economic giant. I don talk my own o! |
Posted by: South-East That is the bottom line. We can easily link this to the high crime rate in Abia where most of the criminals are actually indigenes. You do not burn down your house just because a snake entered it. What you do is to find the snake and kill it. What Orji did is burning down the house of Igbo and Eastern Nigeria. It is brainless. BTW most of the kidnappers in Anambra are from Abia state. If Orji wants to help his people, he should give more education and training to them like the Imo governor is doing. The issue is a tse tse fly on the scrotum. He and all Abians should thread softly and retract their steps. |
Posted by: afam4eva @OnlytruthOur (Igbo) problem in Nigeria is a peculiar one -we are being cheated and marginalized in Nigeria. We may even have to go to war again to either get our fair share from Nigeria or secede altogether. That is why Igbo governors should always handle issues differently if it affects other Igbos. Our governors should be smart enough to see the bigger picture and even the FUTURE picture. This man demonstrated the worst form of myopia. Any Igbo who support him is not even thinking at all. |
Posted by: South-East Onlytruth,So, who would sacrifice to unite Igbos then, after all these years of Igbo against Igbo policies? How would such a country even come to be, since we would be busy fighting one another? Do you think people forget about things like this easily? THEY DON'T. Every Igbo should condemn this. A stitch in time saves nine. |
Posted by: South-East Please read me more carefully, and see the extent of my support. I do not support that 50% of the state workforce of Abia will come from outside. If it is 20% I am cool with it. The 50% unemployed Abians displaced by other Nigerians are Igbos too, right? What I want you to understand is that the issue is a banana peel in the Igbo unity project. You are quoting statistics, but I can assure you that even if 5% of the workers are non-indegenes, goats like Theodore Orji who have run out of ideas of what to do to bring development to their states, would make it seem like 80%. The guy is drowning and is grasping at straws. Tomorrow, other states would also pull statistics out of their @55 and start targeting ALL Igbos. It is not too late to condemn this. |
@South-East I want you to understand that the issue is not state government jobs. The issue is "income". When you lay off workers from other states, you are removing their source of income, and other states reserve the right to retaliate in any way they like. Lets keep focus on the real issue. |
I am highly disappointed in these Igbo sons: SE, Chinenye (predictable anyway), Ezeagu and Afam4eva. I am with Dede1 on this. ![]() Any Igbo that supports this is either brainless, myopic, dishonest, deceiving himself or all of them. @Afam4eva, I know you are from Enugu state, so you are supporting this because Enugu state did the same in the past. Have you asked yourself why Enugu international airport idea has remained a joke till date? Have you asked yourself why Igbos are cold to the idea of Enugu being the capital of Igbo and Eastern Nigeria? If you don't know, that idiotic policy and your wawa mindset cause them. The overall loser at the end of the day is Igboland. You are in Lagos and enjoying yourself. When Fashola and Yorubas kick you out tomorrow, you can't even muster enough support from the Igbo homeland because of some of these idiotic anti-fellow Igbo policy that destroy the unity and togetherness of Igbo. Who will cry with you then? I now understand why Enugu state rejects APGA. Y'all are fearful of other Igbo; but then, I advise you to FORGET ABOUT ENUGU INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, because Anambra Igbos will switch to Asaba airport if you don't acquire brains. @SE, I am shocked that an educated Igbo like you would support such brainless policy. Believe me, Igbo as a whole will pay for this dumb policy @Ezeagu, how can we ever have an Igbo-only country as you espouse when you support this? Is this how we shall live in that country? Bros I'm speechless at your support for this! |
@mitogay I think you are really SEgayO masquerading. You enjoy spotting grammatical error and fixing them. You are good at it sometimes. |
Posted by: alj_harem sometimes i think this country called Nigeria is not ruled by Nigerians but by foreign powers In fact I know it is not ruled by NigeriansGood call alj harem Boko, Now, you see what we've been saying all these while? Nigeria, stay one and progress. FOR WHERE? Nigeria divide and free humans to pursue their survival. LAI LAI. But all I know is that God will wreck ALL the foreign countries propping up the Nigerian nightmare. God will visit them one by one and destroy them, just like they are destroying the lives of Nigerians by supporting the rule of evil. |
Just wondering how they came up with the number 10,000. What exactly will be produced. I don't like scams. Can someone tell me what will be produced. If he had said "businesses", I would have understood. Tourism alone can create about 25% of that number. 10,000 industries ![]() |
@house, I really think that GEJ remains the better candidate than Buhari in this last election. Never mind all these bombs going off here and there, all geared towards derailing his programs. The man really seems to know what he should be doing for Nigeria. For starters, he is putting serious plans in place to diversify the economy, and he is working very hard at it. Secondly, he recognizes the importance of businessmen, corporate stake holders and technocrats in moving Nigeria forward. Believe me, I don't see Buhari doing the same thing if he had won. He would be busy chasing southern thieves around, while leaving northern ones to continue pillaging. The Buhari dude was a serious "born to rule" kind of a man. And he doesn't come across as having respect for technocrats; remember his supporters are Boko Haram kind of folks who hate western education and values. In effect, we didn't have a viable alternative to GEJ. FACT. ![]() So, all these folks attacking GEJ should please calm down and allow him to work for Nigeria. I don't regret campaigning for him one bit. ![]() |
For those saying this is anti-Christian; remember that Jesus used baton to chase away thieves from the temple in Jerusalem. There is time for everything under the sun, so says the wise king Solomon. |
This is the most sensible recommendation by any organization in Nigeria. Either this, or ALL weapons in circulation (including police own sef , yes they give them to armed robbers and kidnappers! Let police use our abundant manpower and good old baton. ![]() Military men must be banned from carrying weapons within the boarders of the Nigerian nation. Make dem go face Cameroon for Bakassi and make dem chase Bokom Haram all the way to Somalia. ![]() Else, EVERYBODY SHOULD BE ARMED. ![]() Kudos to CAN. |

Posted by: ndu_chucks I’m sorry, your analogy does not hold any water. None of the protesters caused any physical harm to anyone and we are yet to hear of any violent impact of the said protest, on a single Nigerian. As you become more developed politically and mentally, you’d understand that it is in your best interest to protect the right of every Nigerian to demonstrate peacefully, within the law.So, what is the difference between what you just said, and what MASSOB has been doing since its formation? Why are you supporting the harassment, shooting and incarceration of MASSOB members, but want these potential terrorists protected under the law? Meanwhile these your women carrying placards are only carrying "kites". ![]() They are flying them to know what will happen before they unleashed their terrorist sons. ![]() "Double faced gentleman terrorist". ![]() |
@Ileke-IdI Calm down beau. No one is touching that baby. . . . or any more you are planning to have. ![]() |
Posted by: ak47mann nnewi roads used to be bad back in the days i remember people used to fix govt roads back then but now is a lot better nnewi is changing very fast and obi have done some good roads as well, last time i went home i thought i was in another city too many banks too and more industries i think i prefer the old nnewi thou our culture values is disappearing i see less indigence these days most people in nnewi are not from nnewiLOL. I feel like that sometimes too. My local church (which I attended as kid ) is now totally strange to me. Not a single recognizable face or name. Since everybody just packed up and left, while others from elsewhere in Nigeria moved in. But you know with development, it is either you have it or you don't. ![]() |
^^ Bros, how are Nnewi roads these days? |
@ekt_bear How you dey? Since I found out you hang in my circle here in Cali, I've decided to give you a break. BTW I'm laughing at your But in Nigeria, you cannot do that. Otherwise quickly you'll be outnumbered numerically by people who don't give a sh1t about the # of kids they have. Well, don't even go there in naija. ![]() |
