I am in the "show me" stage now in Nigeria. That NASENI was formed many years ago (can't recall under which president), but has not produced a damn thing. I still maintain that PRIVATE companies should be given GRANTS by the FG to do this. Government agencies are full of inefficiencies both systemic and non-systemic. |
Plshavmercyamen: @onlytruth. Since u're our Eze here on nairaland, you should be very careful in the kind of comments u make here as anything u say here might be misconstrued to be the opinion of Ndi Igbo. IMHO, U should be a bridge builder while defending the over all interest of Ndi Igbo. Pls, try to consider ur position and re consider ur stand on this issue. Ima na adighi asi onye Eze na odara Iwu, mana aga asi nwu ya, EZE BIKO LE BA NYE HARI ANYA NA IHE IKWURU. Udo diri gi. Nsogbu adighi nwanne, anulam ihe i kwuru. Udo. ![]() |
Anyway, this is the point I leave this thread...hopefully for good. Signing off... Yours truly, Onlytruth, Ikenga Dike of Anaedo(Nnewi), Ndu di N'eziokwu I of Igboland, Eze Ndigbo Nairaland III. ![]() |
pokur: Hahahahaha.Lookee here, another shiny object! What challenge? LOL You seem to have quietly capitulated. Well, be man enough to apologize for your ignorance over Otolo matters. We are all Nnewi, so I won't hold your earlier insult against you. You are my brother. And NO we did not serve the same year. Now BOW! ![]() |
Onlytruth: Is this name a coincidence, or is it a hidden message?BTW this is an attempt at a half joke, but I would change that acronym if I were these women. That acronym will raise bad blood. It's like forming a Yoruba organizational acronym that ends up being OJUKWU. ![]() |
Geomac: Even if you are anti-Ngige, I did not expect this useless quote from you as Igbo leader in Nairaland. You should be removed from that position. I have said it and I will say it again, Southern Nigerians are hypocrites.Nwokem I am not anti-Ngige; I am anti-ACN and all its well known "baggage" from across the Niger. Onwa Anambra state is maintaining a deafening silence, while his party man Fashola is deporting Igbo from Lagos. If I throw in the fact that he has done next to nothing to improve Anambra lot as a senator, my anger starts to tip over. Eze or not I am still entitled to my opinion, and will be damned to ever abandon it. ![]() |
The Anambra Women Organisation, AWO.Is this name a coincidence, or is it a hidden message? Umu Anambra, mepe nu anya unu o! ![]() |
About time. I supported their deployment to Mali earlier, but now they are needed at home more than any other place. |
pokur: Not everyone was as loudmouthed as u were then.Still,u were intellectually better than u seem to be now.Again, there is no way you and I served in the same location. I am a very meticulous man. I know and take note of things in my environment that most ordinary folks don't. I even have a hunch that I graduated MANY years ahead of you. ![]() |
pokur:The bolded is what I call standing history on its head. You have two events mixed up. The Enem "lineage" you mention as having been cheated by Nnofo is anachronistic to the facts of the matter. Nnofo had already taken over Otolo's "Obi" before all that. Enem was an absentee first son of Otolo, and was even absent during the burial of his own father. A typical example of what happened to Enem is what happened when "Dike ana agbalu izu" (of the Nwosu Eze odumegwu) died. His first two sons were AWOL and his THIRD son (a policeman) "Ofili" was propped up by his kinsmen to replace his father, and they gave him the title of "Oji ako na Obi" (there must always be an iroko tree standing in a powerful family compound). Igwe Kenneth Onyeneke Orizu III then gave him the title of "Ebube dike Nnewi". That is how Ezeodumegwu's legacy was rescued, rehabilitated and restored. What you are doing is what I call fishing in the wrong waters. What you have mixed up is how Ezeoguine took over power from the Ezeagha sons. (I shall comment more on this later if need be) And for the last time, please get it into your tick skull: EZEOGUINE IS EZEAGHA's NEPHEW. I will give you a little assignment. Find out who is Ezeoguine's father out of the sons of Udude (Nnofo's son). ![]() |
I used to think they were ready, but careful analysis of historical facts is making me to have a rethink. I cannot think of ONE female leader that never did something egregious. They tend to overreact to issues, and sometimes have a one track mind approach to issues. Men on the other hand have multidimensional mindset; naturally. Please for the record I am not a sexist; just a pragmatist. |
pokur: I have asked u to post what proof u think u have to back ur wrongful assertions n all u do is rant.I'm done with u.@First bolded: I know Ezeagha like the back of my hand. Care to tell me which specific clan your great grand mother descended from? @Second bolded: Like I said before, I really do not want to get into certain things because Nnewi unity is more important to me than scoring cheap points on the internet. I have TWO questions for you. Did you say that Ezeoguine was Ezeagha's BROTHER? Why/How did Nnofo (the second son of Otolo) take over from Enem (the first son of Otolo)? I will not allow you to get away with this disinformation. |
pokur: Btw,am much older than u @Onlytruth so have done with such stite as call me kid.Tis the wont of intellectual minnows to result to such in face of superior argument.U wonder how I know u?.We both served same year, same batch, same local govt.U were better than this then.I did not serve with any Nnewi man during youth service. You must have me mistaken for another person. This is internet, so I cannot be sure whether I am older or the other way round. Actually it is irrelevant to the discourse. You were wrong about KEY FACTS of Nnewi history and genealogy, and I will not allow you to get away with it. ![]() |
biafranqueen: Nna it's ok this is our wife and even if she is young she is very intelligent. Biko Biko we are trying to get the story in its entirety it is important to get the story correct. Has nobody written it down? All intelligent Nnewi girls respect people they don't know. She didn't. The funny thing is that BOTH Ezeagha and Ezeoguine are of Nnofo royal lineage by the fact that Udude Ezeagha's DIRECT father was Nnofo's son. I have more to say, but I'll wait for now. |
Kingsley1000: SOLUDO ALL D WAY COME 2014,,if u are not part of d solution den u're d problem...Ngige u're nt doing anytin...DWARF MAN WID DWARF VISION.LOL @ "dwarf man with dwarf vision". hehehe! ![]() Our people sef. Onwa this Soludo tower will be too high for you to climb. |
pokur: Been prevented from posting on this thread by anti-spam bot or I would have responded earlier. My friend I don't have time for kids in the internet. The first thing you tried to do was try to make yourself more relevant by citing your mother's lineage to the Obi Uruagu. My own mother is Ezeoguine direct but that is irrelevant. You then went ahead to claim that Ezeagha never ruled Nnewi. At that point I concluded you are not worth my time. I hope you have not been deceived by the Okonkwo Alutu (Uruagu man) version of Nnewi history because it is as "accurate" as the imagination of the author. When an Otolo man writes his own version of Nnewi history, please endeavor to get a copy and be schooled in our REAL history. I told you that the root of your ignorance is the "Uruagu issue" and I will only take your antagonistic/protagonist style the day Uruagu leaves the Nnewi union to become an autonomous town. For now, revel in your ignorance. LOL. ![]() |
Soludo remains the Solu -tion. ![]() |
Odenigbo Aroli: That's what you think but like I always told you peopl, you know nothing about Anambra politics and Apga....Apga isn't PDP nor ACN. You will be shocked when Oseloka Obaze emerge! You don't know Peter Obi very well...what did you think make Ifeanyi Uba to leave Apga. OBI IS THE MOST WISEST MAN IN THE EAST OF NIGERIA!Odenigbo nwanne i ji n'aka? hehe Anambra aburo Nigeria n'eme zoning. Eziokwu the fastest way for APGA to lose this election is to field this Oseloka Obaze guy. I do not know ALL about him, but I know Anambra state enough. We are too WISE to allow zoning in our dear state. For now, this is what I see... I see ALL LGAs in Anambra waiting and getting ready to support THE BEST candidate, NOT the ZONED candidate. Some of us are abandoning people from our parts of the state to support the best man -SOLUDO. As at today, Ngige is still a BIG factor in Anambra State, Yoruba party or not. The PDP will fight to win Anambra this time. Obaze is a NEW face and untested (as far as most Anambrarians are concerned), hence, the least qualified in this scenario. To be qualified on paper means nothing when reality sets in. Anambra is a unique "monster". One thing I know about Peter Obi is that he gravitates towards PRAGMATISM most of the time; that is why he did not embark on HUGE infrastructural projects in Anambra in his 8 year rule. He always ensures the sustainability of projects before embarking upon them. Well, we shall see... |
IGBO-SON:Nwanne Anambra people HATE that zoning thing with a passion, just like we hate thug politics and godfatherism. How can we defeat thug politics/godfatherism only to foist zoning on ourselves? Chineke ekwena ife ojoo. ![]() What we want is a CREDIBLE and COMPETENT candidate, and we don't care where they come from provided they are from Anambra. If not that the North have proven themselves incompetent in leading Nigeria for 38 odd years, that zoning thing will never ever get Igbo support in national politics. But ya diba kene. Our Anambra North brothers will even champion a Soludo campaign sef. We all love Anambra state. |
Soludo ka anyi ga eso ruo echi! If this turns out true, then my prediction/analysis was spot on. In politics, there is only one thing that matters -VICTORY AT THE POLLS, hence pragmatism always prevails. If APGA is serious about winning in Anambra, it needs someone truly credible and tested, and I can't really see any other in APGA as of today. Soludo will bring along tested-leadership-at-the-highest-level kind of credibility to the government house at Awka. All is fair in love, war...and yes POLITICS! All Anambrarians will join a Soludo train because we want the best for our dear state. I hereby offer myself to the Soludo train. Prof, here I am, please send me. If this is confirmed, I will quietly start communicating to my townsman Ifeanyi Uba to join the Soludo train in any way he can to help bring escalated development to Omanbala. For now, we wait... |
Ola Johnson: What makes you think you are the movers of the economy of Nigeria? Where do you place telecommunication, banking sector and oil and gas?And you seriously believe that you will continue to control oil and gas if such economic war escalates? Some of you lack brains, honestly. And you are what you accuse others. YOU LACK APPRECIATION. Eastern Nigeria has funded you more than you have funded Eastern Nigeria. Show appreciation for once! |
Lt.Haruna Mohammed Sani, spokesman for the"Multinational"? I thought we simply have Joint Task Force (JTF) there. Please which countries are participating in this multinational force? Unless this has been discussed here before, I think this issue of internationalization of this conflict should be communicated to all Nigerians. But that's just my humble opinion. |
PapaBrowne: This is the reason I tell opposition figures to stop making all the noise and go and strategize.Everything you said is very apt and plausible, except the last bolded. Believe me PDP will NEVER, repeat NEVER allow an APC control of the senate or the house of reps. That is almost as bad as GEJ losing the presidential elections proper. Those guys will impeach him within a year if that happens. Also remember that PDP wants to rule for 60 years, thanks to baba Iyabo. So PDP will do what PDP will do to win both executive and legislature in 2015. BTW all your noted GEJ moves looks and feels like "Mr Fix it"(Anenih) strategies. ![]() |
This is the most ludicrous thing I have ever heard of; that someone is trained and then forcefully deported or removed from a state within his/her own country. No matter how one dresses up poo, it still stinks! I'm happy that some folks have articulately discussed the issue of Federal funds which flowed freely (in the past, and still funds) to build key infrastructure in Lagos: IBB bridge (third mainland bridge) quickly comes to mind as a good example. The other issue is tax money coming from rich and successful non-indigenes of Lagos who fund the government, only for poor people from their origin states to be sent packing. In this life, chaos and anarchy is very easy to achieve, while sanity, order, justice and fairness are always very hard. When this anarchy spreads to other parts of Nigeria, folks should remember who started it. |
nku5: @ Onlytruth - nwanne pardon the expression but if its brown, smells bad and floats its most likely poo. You check am, if he's so influential, powerful and rich how come we have never heard of him? His only recent source of livelihood as far as I know is as staff of chrome oil. Not technical partner, not co-owner but STAFF. Now he's running for governor looking to compete cash for cash with titans, that sounds like a sponsored candidate or a "godson" to me.I agree with the bolded, but how much do you think a godfather can spend for his godson to win? That is why I asked you whether Emeka Offor is that much richer than Andy Uba, because Andy is ready to spend his last in this election to capture PDP ticket. Will Emeka Offor risk that much for a godson that can turn against him tomorrow (remember Ngige and Chris Uba)? That is the question. I totally agree that we must not allow all that godfather/godson nonsense ever again in Anambra. That is why I am thankful for APGA and Peter Obi in Anambra politics, warts and all. |
Chubhie: Home run for Goodman GEJ 2015 and beyond. Am impressed how GEJ smooth operates..... He has grown more balls thanks to opposition. Now we need that ball to be made of steel and bigger than United states steel industry. That is what I like most about Jona. He is a smooth (meek and gentle) operator. He gets things fixed quietly, one by one. |
asha 80: to be honest i was suprised to see that.don't you if obi starts supporting soludo it would upset the anambra north that he has een promising candidacy?I see your point but do you have ANY candidate in that Anambra North that can beat Ngige and this PDP's Walter Okeke guy? Politics is about pragmatism, unless of course Peter Obi wants PDP to win (which somehow I doubt). When I saw Soludo praising Obi the other day, the calculus came naturally; but hey I could be wrong though. APGA does not have many money bags (thank God for that! ), so the only thing that can make an APGA candidate win is popularity. Is there any candidate in APGA more popular than Soludo (assuming he is in APGA now and I don't see why he won't be, afterall PDP is closed to him)? |
asha 80: onlytruth how sure are you that that story of soludo going to apga is true?you know some of these writers can conjure the ridiculous.though that publication of soludo praising obi lend some credence.Nwanne, do you think that the following quote is conjecture? Is our newspapers that irresponsible these days? Soludo too is said to be ready to reconcile with his sister in-law, Prof Dora Akunyili, also a Catholic, to upstage the looming political volcano APGA being foisted by the elements in PDP. It was for this reason the former Central Bank chief recently dumped the PDP for APGA, just like Akunyili. |
nku5: @ Onlytruth- Walter Okeke appears to be an Emeka Offor boy. His stint in oil and gas was with chrome oil. After backing Mbadinuju, Emeka Offor has no moral leg to support any gubernatorial candidate in my opinionNna are you sure about the bolded? I ji na aka nwanne? I agree with the Emeka Offor notoriety issue if that is true, but the way they portray this guy makes it look like he has already permeated all nooks and corners of Anambra.I am a little happy about this Emeka Offor connection if that is true because then my candidate Soludo's chances increases. hehe. But is Emeka offor that much richer than Andy Uba? Why then did they say that this Walter Okeke guy is miles ahead of Andy Uba? Am I missing something here? |
The real politicking has begun. Sai Jona, wallahi. |
