I have already sent countless texts home. The sun shall rise again in the East. |

CyberG: On what premise? How? This is how you were shouting around when GEJ was still a candidate then for elections but today, your eye don clear ba? LMAOI did not mean that it will be like Chicago overnight. I meant that it will eventually be like Chicago. That is why I said in another thread that it will keep Igbo busy for at least two generations. We need a mega project to attract us back home and keep us busy in the East. And yes it is all do-able. |
Chris-OD:Dalu nwanne. O ga adi otua site na ike nke chukwu. Amen. |
sincerenigerian: I go throway salute if Soludo can achieve 1/10 of what he put on the list. African Dubai, Anambra Airline, Anambra Shopping World (biggest in Africa)........ Typical Nigerian politicians, they promise much but deliver nothing.I believe he can achieve 1/10th. ![]() |
I have a suggestion to make to Soludo right now, but our people say that "o bughi ebe e jidere nshiko ka a na asacha ya" - you do not wash the mud crab in the same location it was captured because it might escape; you get home first! But assuming that we have made it home with this crab, then I suggest that he picks Obaze as his deputy. In the same line of thinking, the HUGE swathe of land in Ogbaru area along the Niger river should be developed into a new business and industrial zone, built to world standards. It should be a new city of sorts built as a satellite of Onitsha, but built like Chicago overlooking the Niger. Believe me, Ndigbo will be busy with this new city/zone/cluster for at least two generations. Building on Peter Obis Anam new city downwards to Onitsha, then to Ogbaru, will create a continuun of economic activity along the Omanbala and Niger. This river is strategic to Anambra state and Igboland. We must build along it! |
Site na ike nke Chineke Soludo will win so that the task of rebuilding Anambra and SE will begin in earnest. |
Delafruita: you misinterprete the land use act.the only power the government has is to revoke a c of o if,and only if,it has a requirement for that particular place and in such cases, compensation must be paid.even if there is a law in anambra which enables him to demolish properties of offenders, isnt it proper to wait till such offenders have been found guilty by a competent court?even the,the criminal code act of 1990 remains the standard for trying criminal cases.the state government of anambra does not prosecute such offences.that is the duty of the police.thats why the case file will read commisioner of police v accused.First of all, the Land Use Act empowers the governor to take land "for public interest". If you read the article well, you would see that there was an option of outright "taking" -basically a concern that originated from the "eminent domain" principle. As long as he is doing so for public good, he can take the whole land. On the issue of compensation, you may run into another issue of "proceeds of crime". Do you pay an armed robber for his house you know he built through armed robbery? I think not. There are detail of which I may not be able to discuss, but on the face of it, it looks legal enough to me. @Bolded, I have learned never to say NEVER in law because you have not traveled the whole world to examine every law in every country. |
texaco1: You must be an apga memeber judging from ur postsNot registered, but an ARDENT supporter of APGA whenever they start sharing my vision of UNITING and DEVELOPMENT SE and the East as a whole. No other party in Nigeria even comes close in those departments. I believe that ALL politics is LOCAL. |
noblezone: Let us start with Anambra.Another brilliant idea. I am beginning to think that in light of what Lagos state government is doing to Ndigbo, we just have to develop an economic pole in the East, by any means. Soludo is the only person I see that can attempt such vision in Anambra. The whole thing is fortuitous because if we succeed in Anambra by electing Soludo, other SE states will think hard about electing APGA candidates, hopefully people of similar ambition and outlook. We just have to develop, and FAST. |
Danjuma is smarter than running against an incumbent Nigerian president (the most powerful president in Africa). His oil wells are at stake! lmao. |
Abagworo: The truth is that none of us actually has any evidence. I'm only worried that he has not been proven guilty in a court and I have friends who have been victims of such plot. Someone dropped cocaine in their home and alerted the Police. The Otokoto saga and most recently the man accused of killing and embalming his mother in Oguta all comes to mind.I hope you realize that this is not the first time Obi has done this. As a matter of fact, the strategy is already working wonders in Anambra as kidnapping has reduced drastically. You see, criminals need BUILDINGS to operate most of the time. If every landlord carefully monitors his tenants, such crimes will reduce. So, like I said before, in the absence of evidence to the contrary, we have to accept that this is a properly done demolition. I hope you are not up to your usual antics. |
mikeansy: To be honestBrilliant idea. |
