Abagworo: I'm glad someone is reasoning along with me. An enemy could plan everything, including alerting the Police at the perfect time. The story itself smells of set up and it reminds me of the Otokoto saga in which his name was dented and till this day people say all sort of things about him without knowing the truth. The boy caught with human head was hurriedly killed and we only relied on the story as constructed by the powers that be.Abagworo unless you have evidence to the contrary, you should stop making baseless insinuations here. The governor has to work to keep Anambra safe. Must all positive actions in your world be politically motivated? Stop muddling the waters here. |
Delafruita: in what part of our law is demolishing of a property punishment for a crime?we should not encourage a precedence that will lay the foundation for anarchy.peter obi has absolutely no right to demolish that property.its illegal and senseless.the appropiate punishment should be meted out to the offender but this goes way beyond any prescribed punishmentDon't know the whole story, but I believe there is a law in Anambra that empowers him to do that. In some US states, if a person gets caught for certain petty crimes (like shoplifting), for the third time, they go straight to jail; no trial. So, it depends on what the law says in Anambra state. If there is no concurrent federal law, then it is legal. BTW the Land Use Act of 1978 vests land in the state governors. That is why Fashola is terrorizing innocent people in Lagos. |
This topic was ridiculous when it was first posted. It is even more ridiculous today. Well, who knows; maybe one of these days someone "at the top" might buy into it and start allocating more "national cake" to us in SE. haha. |
I always love when Obi PERSONALLY supervises the demolition of these houses of evil. Kudos to our able governor. If people know that their houses risk demolition, they would NEVER willingly allow it to be used for heinous crimes. ![]() |
noblezone: Great news! The more the merrier nwanne. Dalu. This is the time for we educated and knowledgeable Anambra citizens to stand up and mobilize our people towards grabbing our destiny with both hands. Soludo understands Anambra/SE and Eastern problems very well. He is ambitious and smart enough to create an economic POLE in the East. With him in Anambra, Ndigbo will soon start returning to the East. He understands how important these things are. |
Odenigbo Aroli: Agu-Anaedo,uche gi di na ife ana eme mana Soludo ga echetu obele.Odenigbo we have a point of agreement in the bolded. We need to see a debate of course. The debate will somehow level the playing field. Oseloka might be a good candidate, but we don't know that. I support Soludo for three main reasons: (1) He is very intelligent and understands key issues of development (2) He is very ambitious. I share in his type of ambition. I believe that if someone wants to get to the roof of his house, that person should aim for the clouds, not the roof. Soludo will do anything to launch Anambra into a place where all Igbo and Easterners can be proud to return to and call home. (3) He is very courageous. I watched him take several risks to restructure the Nigerian banking sector, and was even going to give Nigeria a dominant currency in Africa, but enemies of Nigeria and Africa stopped him before he could do that. I see him taking on any challenge to move Anambra into that place we all want. These are the reasons I support him even above Ifeanyi Uba my townsman. Nwanne let us unite to support this man. He is exactly what Anambra/Ndigbo need at this time in Nigeria. |
A grass root movement is on now in Anambra state. The instruction is simple. If you support Soludo, send a text YES and the name of your town in Anambra to the following numbers: 08036672916 08133520739 07059461123 |
It is true. To God be the glory.

With this clearly self serving opinion on a very testy, dangerous, and heated political issue, Ngige has single handedly destroyed his political legacy and relevance in Anambra state. This is the exact type of situations that tests leadership and political skills of politicians. If this did not happen, we Anambrarians would still be debating whether Ngige is capable of standing with us the people in CRITICAL hours. The jury is still out concerning his achievement at the senate so far. I believe it was Dr Martin Luther King Jr. who said that the true test of a man's character is known not in easy and smooth times, but in difficulties and controversies (I am paraphrasing here). How would we have known what Ngige would or would not do for us, even if his own interests are at stake? He may have spoken "the truth" here, but that is besides the point. He will know how "truthful" he has been at the polls in November. If care is not taken, he will not only lose the guber polls in November, but the polls for the senatorial seat he is currently occupying when that comes up in 2015. Who needs a lame duck and a turn coat as a representative? Definitely not Anambra state. My humble 2 cents. |
I have only two IGBO proverbs for Fashola's exclusive meditation/ponderance. (1) Ka anyi na ele onye nya akpa asu nri - let us first be watching this man pounding fufu with a handbag hanging on his shoulder to know his TRUE intention. (2) Onye ji ihe nwata welie aka ya, emechaa o ga eweturiri aka ya - an adult who snatches a toy from a child and is keeping his hands up, GRAVITY must eventually force his hands down . So, in light of the first proverb, when Fashola (if fear go gree am o) finally plays his really intended card, and it turns out that he truly wants to take the market from Nigerians of Igbo stock in Lagos, THEN we shall wait to see what the FG will do. If the FG supports Fashola, it then means that the Nigerian nation has CEASED to exist, and we shall then declare BIAFRA, after which Biafra shall then decide how and when to deal with the issue, whether to deal with it peacefully, or by war. One thing I know for sure is that Igbo properties (whether markets, or buildings) can NEVER be taken by anybody in Nigeria. I speak for myself, but I believe I speak the minds of majority of Igbo in this site. Nuff said. |
What is wrong? Inherent wickedness and hate emanating from deep rooted tribalism. He cannot help it! |
Gbawe: Aside being a loser and bitterly failed diasporan, you are also a lunatic. Not surprising at all as failure can precipitate lunacy.I discovered a pattern to YOUR particular psychosis, and that is that you thoroughly diagnose YOURSELF and then somehow magically transpose YOUR pathological situation on a totally unconcerned passerby. You are telling us about YOURSELF! Proof? You are HERE 24/7 year after year. Me? Took off from here for almost 5 months (and may repeat it depending ...) . I dare you to try leaving for 5 days. Your inborn hate, tribalistic nature, laziness, and yes bigotry breeds bitterness, wickedness and jealousy over some of MY investments in Lagos, and is making you to target poor innocent Igbo hustling in Lagos and cramping them in concentration camps. You forget that Lagos is being funded by MY tax money. Anu mpama. |
ballabriggs: I do not see them on the highway selling gala and lacasera in Onitsha. I do not see them in ariari doing 'oso ahia'. I do not see them in Owerri doing 'ocho passenger'. Your brothers are all over doing these in the SW.But I saw them begging for FREE LAND in Onitsha. LOL Have you EVER seen an Igbo man beg for land anywhere in Nigeria? Igbo investment in Lagos alone is enough to sustain the whole SW. The same Igbo you see selling gala today is going to build a house and PAY TAX to the government tommorrow, while a Yoruba tailor in Nnewi will not as much as buy land talk less of paying tax. In fact they contribute ZERO to the tax base of states in the East. One Igbo businessman's tax can cover care for 1000 Igbo destitutes in Lagos. I know one Igbo man whose tax amount to N11 Million ANNUALLY in Lagos. There are thousands if not millions of such people. It is the height of wickedness to not take all these into consideration while detaining and deporting IGBO from Lagos. I don't really know about other tribes, but Igbo have PAID more than their fair share of tax in Lagos. We oil the Lagos economic engines, and Fashola knows it! He has sealed his political fate in Nigeria because of this. Mark my words. ![]() |
OPC.NAIRALAND:It depends on how TOLERANT you are. What you call "nuisance" is what I call POOR man/woman. There are MANY of YOUR (Yoruba) poor in the East, from Asaba to Onitsha, to Enugu, to Aba, to Abakaliki, to Owerri, to Umuahia to Nnewi, to Port Harcourt,to Calabar, to Uyo. We TOLERATE them. That is what HUMANS do. If you don't understand this simple human instinct, then maybe you need to examine your humanity. SMH. |
Nna Gabe no dey laff at all at all. ![]() |
President Robert Mugabe's ZANU-PF party has claimed a landslide victory in Zimbabwe's elections, but its rival, Prime Minster Morgan Tsvangirai's Movement for Democratic Change (MDC), said there had been "monumental fraud".LOL! ![]() |
Attorney General and Inspector General of Police should be leading this investigation and censuring. |
That's a start. |
Until Nigerian police is truly reformed, and people start getting arrested and charged with murder for these jungle justices, this cave system will never end. |
Gbawe: You're a low-level thinker who can never see beyond his goggles of bigotry so I do not expect you to ever develop the intellectual finesse to appreciate what others are saying. Some of you don't know how ludicrous you come across each time you term people "bigots". It is like SATAN calling a human being a sinner, when he himself invented sin and is PURE evil! Discuss the issue and leave that your self deceit. No one is fazed one bit. Tell your SATANIC governor to stop torturing fellow Nigerians to death in his concentration camp and dumping them under the bridge at ignoble hours of the night. BTW tell him that Ndigbo will bring a LAWSUIT that may hold him criminally liable for conspiracy to commit murder. |
PointB: I am from Anambra, Enugu, Imo, Ebonyi, Abia. And certainly from Rivers, Delta et al. I am an Igboman!Thank you my brother. I wonder where our people keep their brains these days. Quite annoying. |
Chris†Kid:And ... ![]() |
Thank God for this day! Now we can truly stand a chance of rapid development not just for Anambra but the SE and the whole East. By the grace of God Soludo will win. We need smart and ambitious leaders in SE. If Soludo wins, other states in SE will find their own "Soludos" to bring the much needed expedited development in the East. APGA -like the phoenix- is rising from its own ashes! |
We shall remember this statistics when the time comes. Thanks a lot ACN spokesman. |
Okay as things stand today, PDP has a vice-like grip on SE/SS/MB. PDP has SERIOUS interest in SW (as usual SW will sit home than vote for a real Northern APC candidate, just watch!) Even some CORE north (NE/NW)states have PDP on ground. Though APC might win there, PDP will garner above 30% in each state. Conclusion -> 2011 history is about to repeat in 2015. QED. |
^^^ Day dreaming is good o. Chei. See vision! ![]() |
pokur: Chrissakes, dude quit making a show of yourself.LMAO, you have really shown your true age/level of education with the rant above. Your nerves to ever think that I am your youth service mate. LOLAnyway BACK to the "debate". Who is your great grand mother's FATHER in Ezeagha clan? Who is Ezeoguine's father in Udude clan? Which Ezeagha's son did Ezeoguine act as reagent to before he decided to keep the throne for himself? I ask these questions because I want others to learn REAL Nnewi history, not the one you pull out of your a55. I honestly suspect that you are one of these "enu oha" people claiming Nnewi as hometown. ![]() As for Eze Ndigbo here, only fools don't see the impact we've made and continue to make in Igbo opinion leadership in this site. If not for that impact (which I see in national discourse steadily), I would have left for good. I am a very busy man. Several vested interests sent representatives to convince me to come back, and I still took 4 months off. Now I am back again to ensure that oafs like you don't deceive Ndigbo with false history. As for the date of my first comment on Nairaland since it started in 2005, that shall remain classified. ![]() BTW thanks for nominating me. At least that tells me that you are not afraid to embrace TRUTH. However,if you fail to answer any of the questions I posed correctly, I shall negate the former opinion about you, and brand you an IMPOSTOR. ![]() |
LOL, hate PDP all you like, you can never take one thing away from them: The party is a MASTER of Nigerian politics. From here, just watch as PDP gradually deconstructs APC. As a matter of fact- looking at it all with deft political eyes- NOTHING really changed. |
pokur: Hian!.Afuro di ndi kwuoto n'Ogwugwu Eze-Kwuabo,ma ya fodu kwa ndi tukwu ana.Go and find out who made that statement and WHY he made that statement. You quoted it out of your ignorance once more. ![]() |
pokur: Always knew u would run, with your tail tucked 'tween your legs. You are the neophyte in nairaland. I and some Mods in this section have served Ndigbo and commented tirelessly for years HERE before your likes showed up. Dig into my past postings. Oku daa ibube o di ka onyuru anyu. I just took a little break from nairaland a few months ago, so suddenly your type comes here to yarn dust. Nwokem shift for road biko. And YES and I am Eze Ndigbo here. Go find out HOW and WHY; and I won it TWICE with wide margins. ![]() |
