What I like most about white people is that they are courageous in facing their problems. They don't cut corners and avoid core issues. That is why you see them build roads, bridges and tunnels in the most unlikely places. In Nigeria,we are too afraid to tackle core issues. Unfortunately for us, no great nation ever be without first courageously tackling those issues. That is why we wasted 50 years and counting. Tribalism is real in our politics and is destroying Nigeria; has been since "carpet crossing" of the 50s. Question is : What do we do about that? We can't keep sweeping it under the carpet. 50 years is long enough! We either courageously do away with federal character, quota system and "born-to-rule" mentality, or simply disintegrate. Our patience as a people has already run out! ![]() |
edoyad:But I bet you will mind if is it an Igboman ![]() Anyway on a more serious note, you are being too idealistic. Start by removing quota system and federal character first and allow the most qualified person to get the job. I bet you all other things will fall in line. But in Nigeria, it is not possible. Once you advocate that, it would end up in "iboman is too greedy". Somehow, cries of domination will start ringing out and hatred will start brewing. That is what led to the massacres in the north in the 1950s and 60s. That is where we have been and we have never moved an inch past that. That is part of why Jonathan is not acting president today. |
~Bluetooth:Bluetooth, The biggest problem in your line of thinking (which unfortunately is the same line of thinking by those in charge of Nigeria since 1970), is that somehow without tackling the core issues of contention, things would simply fall in line and start working for Nigeria. That is why we are here today without a president and yet his vice can't take over! The US you cited is almost counter your argument. The US came together by treaties, right? It began with 13 states only. Today it is 50 states. Others joined much later, including the largest state of California. Each state in the union has its own CONSTITUTION, Police forces (state, local govt/county, city and even utilities police forces),control education, has a national guard under command of state governor and a whole bunch of decentralized power. Mind you none of these were done from the center. They had these BEFORE joining the union. In Nigeria, someone will be in Abuja and decide to create a state as it would suit his/her divide and rule schemes, not according to grassroot consensus or fair demand. To be brief, Nigeria is upside down and can never work. For it to work, it must disintegrate first. After that, each component part would then enter into founding treaties and agreements. When the process completes, we would then take stock. It may be possible to have the same country in place, or a different configuration. I think that is part of what olabukola is trying to put across. |
pcmadu:The great Ikemba! The only living legend of Igboland. You are looking at least 10 years younger! Ndu gi, the father of a great nation! |
You think say na only aboki like you sabi speak Igbo! Many Igbos can speak Hausa more than you. Ewu ugwu! ![]() |
from ndu_chuks I await your apology - l however do not expect it. I leave you with the follwing Igbo adage "Ubochi aka ga-akpara Eze Udene, o kwuo ndimmuo chiri ya eze" - The day the King of Vultures will be apprehended, it will reveal the spirit that crowned it.Aboki dey yarn Igbo!
|
ndu_chucks:Your worst nightmare! Calm down ndu_chuks! I know that -Azikin kaza shini gedengeri ina sha ruwan kasko! , my Hausa is a bit rusty because I left Kano quite young. But you get the idea. If your brothers hadn't ruined this country up to the stage of producing an international terrorist, Nigeria could have survived. But you blew it! So live with it. |
edoyad:I don't "believe" it. I know it! But I don't need to prove it to an outsider like you. So move on. A northerner cannot defend part of the old East. Like Beaf said, it is like the fox defending the hen house! ![]() |
ndu_chucks:Now trying to divide the Igbo against themselves! Splitting hairs so to say. ![]() ndu_chuks, shame on you. Let me tell you, the day Nigeria disintegrates, the north will be worse than Somalia. Your factions will hit thousands! You think we don't know about your "one north" myth? Just wait till then. |
flashgeek = EmperorOlu lmao!Stop insulting people! WTF ![]() |
sjeezy8:Ode! Stop trying to frighten the unsuspecting. ![]() Who will fight, your type? ![]() I laugh in Ijaw! |
Abagworo:Your answer, thanks to Adigun -adigun101 Mind you ND is different from south - south. ND is a geographical entity while SS is a geo-political entity. The region known as the Niger-Delta are made up of the following Nigerian states. with their ibo composition. Abia - 100% Akwa-Ibom - 5% Cross River State - 7% Edo - 1% Imo - 100% Ondo States. - 0% Delta State - 30 % Rivers State - 60% Bayelsa State - 15% This is proof that the ibos have the right to claim ND. S Maps http://coral.lili.uni-bielefeld.de/langdoc/EGA/Proposals/Ega-proposal2/sv019026.jpg 1898 map of Niger-Delta ( Even before Nigeria was created !) http://www.waado.org/NigerDelta/Maps/historic/1898_map_niger_delta.html |
ndu_chucks:Now back to you defending Niger delta! A while ago you were defending Igbo ! Ha ndu_chuks! Are you that desperate ![]() So Ojukwu is now the Abacha and Oladipo Diya that hanged Wiwa. Was Ojukwu holding any government post in 1995? Was he a judge in the case? Was he the governor of rivers state? Do you think people are as daft as you! ![]() Na wa for you. Dan Iska! |
Thank you again my brother Beaf ! ![]() E dey pain dem well well! |
Shall you say Because your own brother Led you into the hands Of defeats Your balm of brotherhood Will forever suffer Humiliation? The enemies of Ndigbo and Niger delta are at work and I hope my Niger delta brothers see them clearly. Some of them claim to be from Niger delta but are infact northerners or westerners. Open your eyes and stop them! |
It is obvious that the enemies of South east and south south are at work! The ndu_chuks and the yeswecan and bluetooth Known oil thieves are at work! You have stolen enough from Wiwa's oil wells. Go home now! ![]() |
Saro wiwa: Again, shall you say Because the scar Of the betraying spear Is still fresh and frail You shall not give ear To the cry of your brother About to be smashed By his adversaries? Brother mine, Shall you say Because your own brother Led you into the hands Of defeats Your balm of brotherhood Will forever suffer Humiliation? |
^^^ So how can one lay "claim" to what he partly owns? Isn't it foregone that he partly owns it I cannot "claim" to own part of my fathers property. I think that Ken Saro Wiwa's poem captures the essence of this discourse. I will post excerpts. |
adigun101:Thank you very much adigun101. I am really impressed with your resolute pursuit of the truth here. Unfortunately, your type is very rare in Nigeria. By rare I mean those who are prepared to say the truth no matter whose ox is gored. Thanks again and keep up the good work. ![]() |
yeswecan:Agreed. Now need for emotions! Just be your self. No masks please! ![]() So what's your tribe again? You never told us. If you don't say it, then, you do not qualify to say anything tribal here. Get it? |
Actually yeswecan is an oil thief. He hates MEND too! ![]() |
@Justcash The yeswecan character is not even from the south south. He exposed himself when he posted pictures of starving Biafran children who could have been Ijaw, Annang, Efik, Opobo. Even anyone with an elementary education cannot reason that poorly no matter the level of i'dio.cy and hatred. The only rational explanation is that he is from outside old East for sure. I already suspect he is from the tribes that steal the Niger delta oil. |
yeswecan:Dude really? So what have you been having all the diarrhea about Igbos all these while? So Igbo is not a tribe? Now I know for sure that you are not even from south south, talk-less of Niger delta. Owners of nairaland should start banning people who impersonate other tribes and subsequently lower the quality of discourse here. ![]() |
scktaggif:lol scktaggif=Bilymuse ![]() Old stale lie and off point! The topic is Igbo claiming Niger delta. lmao! |
LOL the idi'ot' yeswecan is not even from south south region. goat! lol! |
yeswecan:Are you from Niger delta? If yes, which tribe? You lost all your credibility when you pointed at your papa house with left hand. |
ndu_chucks:Ol'boy stay away from this o! The guy is mocking innocent victims of a war that was imposed on his own people. |
yeswecan:No don't remove the pictures! Your hate has blinded you to the id'iocy' of your illiogic! Leave it there. Keep drinking palm wine with the buffalo horns that killed your father and keep blaming Ojukwu when you are fighting for "resource control" today. I only wish your type could be well exposed so that we would devise effective strategies to neutralize you. Mudder/fker! ![]() |
yeswecan:If you don't tell me your tribe in the delta I will keep cursing and abusing you. mudder/fkr! ![]() You come here to make mockery of the memory of Biafran war victims and you tell me you are from former Biafran territory. The pictures you posted could have been from Calabar, Yenegoa, or Asaba. It doesn't have Igbo written on it. Fo'ol! |
yeswecan: Who the fck are you!! ![]() Some anumanu claiming to be from niger delta. Where in Niger delta? What is your tribe there. Niger delta is not a tribe! And don't call me son, you id'ot'! |
Any person who mocks his own god won't last long. People like yeswecan must understand that the expression "all men are equal" is a mere slogan. I won't need to prove that to him. We are still in Nigeria aren't we? |
The idio't' yeswecan posted pictures of victims who could be from any part of Biafra. ![]() He thinks only Igbos died and starved to death in Biafra. The anuofia is celebrating the death of his own people! |
