Some of the things at stake. Listen to the tune and rhythm of the flute when the whole thing peaks! Some people are determined to steal these from us and turn Igboland into a strange land imposed and modelled after the lands of the oppressors. But, we no go gree! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vyR1slNkEIA |
Nigerian army, like Nigeria, is not civilized and Nigerians are responsible for that! A babaric army for a babaric people! Contrast the Nigerian army with other civilzed armies like the ones used to quell riots below.

Why the judges chickened out for now "Saharareporters investigations have revealed that the fear of mass uprising and breakdown of law and order in Anambra and neighboring states led the five-judge panel of the Enugu Division of the Court of Appeal to cancel its plan to sell the governorship of Anambra State to Emmanuel Nnamdi (Andy) Uba in exchange for millions of dollars in bribe" http://www.saharareporters.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=4164:2009-11-05-19-05-31&catid=1:latest-news&Itemid=18 |
A five-justice panel of the Court of Appeal, Enugu, today failed to agree on a verdict in a case filed by Emmanuel Nnamdi (Andy) Uba pleading to be declared Anambra State’s governor-in-waiting. Instead, the court, led by Justice J. S. Ngwuta, has set a new date of November 13 for its ruling. A source close to one of the justices told Saharareporters that the court’s inability to hand down a ruling today was largely dictated by our detailed expose on the intrigues and scandals involved in the gubernatorial elections petition appeal case brought by Mr. Uba. Our reports had disclosed that Mr. Uba, who amassed a huge wealth during the eight years he worked as former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s aide on domestic matters, had arranged to furnish some of the justices with millions of dollars in cash in exchange for a ruling that he must assume the governorship next March. Another source told Saharareporters that the five-person panel could not arrive at an acceptable judgment due to the tension generated by the information that they were about to give a favorable verdict to Mr. Uba against popular expectation. A relative of Justice Ngwuta’s, a captain of the plot to smuggle Mr. Uba back to Government House, Awka, told our correspondent that members of the justice’s community had received numerous threats of mayhem “to Justice Ngwuta and his relatives if our son should take part in any deal to bring Chief Uba back to office.” The man said members of the community had conveyed the threats to Justice Ngwuta. http://www.saharareporters.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=4153:andy-ubas-qgovernor-in-waitingq-panel-deadlocked-adjourns-till-november-13-2009&catid=1:latest-news&Itemid=18 |

tpia.:For the record, my position on Nigeria/Biafra has been firm and consistent. ![]() Do I believe in Nigeria as currently constituted? Absolutely not! Do I believe it is still breakable? You bet I do! Can Nigeria still be salvaged and kept together? It depends! BTW I have my deeply held beliefs about Nigeria and they are articulated in my own 7 point agenda ![]() (1) Nigeria is a multinational state, made up of at least four viable nation-states (2) For these nation-states to successfully form a union, there must be shared sets of beliefs and common values. For me as Igbo I believe in the following: meritocracy over mediocrity termed federal character or quota system. If you are less qualified, you don't get the job. Period. If there must be affirmative action, it should be the exception not the rule. 90% employed on merit, 10% on affirmative action. (3) There must be local police (state, or city or local government police formations). We should still have federal police but for cross state border crimes only. (4) There must be free and easy residency for all Nigerians across the national space. You live in a place for one year, you establish residency. Period. (5) There must be at least 50% resource control by all states (6) There must be no Sharia or any other religion based penal codes in any state of Nigeria (7) States or geopolitical regions should have their own constitutions (like in the 60s) If I cannot get the Nigeria oultined above, then I must seek Biafra even if it is only for Igbo territories. There are many successful nations like that in the world. Bostwana of southern africa readily comes to mind. So madam TIPIA your misinformation has failed again. If you insult me again this time you will be sorry. ![]() |

Don't tell me you are too afraid to let us know. |
I'm really serious. What tribe are you? Be courageous. It is good to stand for what you really believe. It's only fair for other people to know you and relate with you that way. Makes this forum richer. |

@ *jona Abeg where are you from? If you are not from Yoruba or Igbo areas, why not tell us your tribe? |
OPCman:I predicted that the Yoruba will try to kick Igbo out of Nigeria eventually (so Igbo or easterners don't need to fight to leave). I never knew my prediction is already below the surface as of today. All these talk of one Nigeria is just a huge exercise in deception. People are calling for resource control while those who actually get this resource allocation (though they don't produce it) are already itching to kick everyone out of their territory. Well, the situation is a bit more complex now . However, we can still leave your land for you if you stop deceiving people about one Nigeria or an "unbreakable nation". Imagine what would happen if the oil wells dry up! |
