ndu_chucks: Choose one:Let me raise a question you never thought of. How do you protect such areas against flooding occassioned by tropical rains? I hope you realize that the runoffs must end in the Atlantic ocean. Ngwa answer this one. I dey wait patiently. ![]() |
ndu_chucks: Eze gburugburu, you are a dummy, dummy! My advise is not for dummies like you. The man I spoke with yesterday is a thoroughly educated man like moi (he has read hundreds of books from leading thinkers from all corners of the globe). He and I basically agreed on one point -Nigeria is an illiterate country, thanks to the ndu_chucks of Nigeria (educated illiterates) having a vice-like choke hold on Nigerian leadership. Let me ask you one question: Would there be a beach, or other sea access after your sea walls are built? Would you seal off the coasts entirely (from west to east) using sea barriers? Educated nama. ![]() |
One of those rare good judgements from Nigerian courts! I wish that all people who have ever been killed by Nigerian security personnel will receive a similar justice at the courts! Here I stand! ![]() |
M-16:That is part of why I laugh at any Igbo man building a house in Lagos. I met an Ijaw man yesterday and we started talking about Nigeria. He is TOTALLY DIFFERENT from all Ijaws I've read from here on Nairaland. The guy understood things like the fact that Nigeria's coastal areas will be swallowed up soon, and that upland Eastern Nigeria may be their only hope of survival then. He also lamented the fact that Nigerians are so illiterate and cannot see beyond 5 years at a time. Comments from some Yoruba folks here are so illiterate! God forbid. I still reiterate my warning to umu Igbo to think twice before building anything in Lagos. Agbachaa oso aguo mile! ![]() |
For me, this is the BEST OPPORTUNITY so far ever presented to us in the East since we started asking for a structural change within Nigeria. Quote me on this. If I were Gov Peter Obi, my next action (after complaining about this publicly) would be to erect an "Immigration border post" at Niger bridge head entrance at Onitsha to "vet and verify" that peoples entering the East are properly identified, and their mission/business in the East well document, before continuing their journey. Anyone who cannot explain his ties to the East or his mission to the East would he summarily repatriated back to Lagos or wherever he/she may be coming from. ![]() Anambra state is a strategic state (being the entrance point to the East), so Peter Obi would effectively be the new governor of the East (at least per immigration matters of the East). After I would have done this for a week or two, watch as the federal government would speedily intervene to call Fashola to order. Nigeria has simply refused to talk about how we continue as one. Fashola's actions (though very cowardly, duh! ) is an opportunity which should be used to force a national dialogue in Nigeria.I hope Peter Obi never misses this opportunity. He has no presidential ambition that I know of, and he is not going for a second term as governor; so he can almost do anything politically in Nigeria and come out unscathed. Obi, I Onlytruth, am available to offer my services at that border (bridge head) if you don't know how to do it. Let the chips fall wherever they may! ![]() Signed, Onlytruth, Ndu di n'eziokwu 1 of Igboland, Eze Ndigbo Nairaland. ![]() |
^^ If producing LONE IROKO TREE millionaire in the middle of vast grasslands is the reward/qualification for producing a Nigerian president and deputy, then I don't want my region to touch Nigerian presidency with the longest pole known to man. We should rather work steadily towards seceding from the cursed land. ![]() I am very much comfortable with producing BUDDING iroko TREES, soon to become FORESTS (with no sign of any grassland whatsoever), in my part of Nigeria. We are fine, thank you very much. ![]() |
omayyi : dayokanu: The North ruled for majority of the years through the military. Military in Nigerian govt was a phenomenon introduced by the Southerners. Why do you people always feel like the Northern mouthpiece on this forum? Frankly it is baffling. ![]() Even in the face of COLD HARD FACTS about the Norths drag on Nigeria, you people keep attacking those who identify the source of the problem. You would rather attack those pointing out the problem than develop balls to face the problem, even as part of a broader group. Why are you this cowardly? Chineke ekwena ife ojoo. ![]() |
Dede1: My people say “uneasy rests the head that wears the crown”. You are the dogged exponent of northern and western regional leadership excellence and I guess you can tell if Chukwuma Nzeogwu falls into your silly parameter of such leadership excellence.LOL, Ndu_chucks suffers from what I call ACUTE DEVIOUS UNSCRUPULOUS SELECTIVE AMNESIAC SYNDROME (ADUSAS) @Ndu_chucks, Would you at least add the great Chukwuma Kaduna Nzeogwu (the one and only Nigerian revolutionary) to your list? I'm patiently waiting for the "correction". "Na gode" in advance. ![]() |
I take a vacation for a few days, and umu Igbo descends on one another. Little wonder why no one takes us seriously in Nigeria. It is REALLY VERY HARD serving you umu Igbo, however, I remain a man of faith. Continue your self destruction. ![]() |
ezeagu: By the way, why did he randomly start talking about disintegration?I had thought that everybody (at least those feeding fat on our coffers in Abuja) assumed that Nigeria will stay one; so if the president starts to talk like this, then maybe even he has started to doubt. Hmmm, wonder what happened to raise his doubt. lol |
odumchi: I ma kwa ihe i kwuga? Are you sure?Odum, ederem gi emeelu. |
So, give me Ngige or give me Rochas, and we shall give a very good account at the center. I don't see any other people with the clout and balls to go for Aso rock. |
Honestly (without bias whatsoever) the only two candidates I see (for now) in SE are Dr Chris Ngige - the indomitable man of the people, and Rochas Okorocha. For a national race Rochas Okorocha may have a certain advantage (money and national connections), and of being the more familiar with the Northern part of the country; but for the tenacity and resoluteness of the race, Ngige will be a better candidate. Ngige also has a ready cultlike following in Igboland, so he would easily build and attract home support. We need someone who can collect at least 90% Igbo vote before seeking the vote of other Nigerians. This race is a classical case of "Charity begins at home". Nothing else would get us close to Aso rock. In fact we Ndigbo should use it as an opportunity to show our population in Nigeria. Umu Igbo should do a little conclave and yank Ngige out of that s.tupid ACN party if they can't give him the presidential ticket there. The message is solid even if the messenger may not be. Only a foolish Igbo man would think otherwise. |
kumbalo: even if the candidate is not qualified? #primitiveThought. No, we are talking about QUALIFIED candidate. Now find another excuse! ![]() |
I wonder which language Gowon has in mind. lol The man is still in nirvana. |
What the state government should do is to DISARM Fulani herdsmen. If they like they should continue nomadic herding after that. Let me see how they will enter peoples' farms and r,ape women along their herding routes. What Ogun state should have done is to make sure that any Fulani caught with even a dagger is sentenced to harsh imprisonment. It is illegal in Nigeria to carry arms about. |
Kogi did well by establishing once and for all that they are NORTHERNERS. So no more Middle belt crap. I keep telling people that Nigeria is THREE regions, and NOTHING can ever change that. Worst case scenario, Nigeria will break into THREE countries, NEVER MORE. He who has ears let him hear. ![]() It is at times like these that certain truths are "allowed" out. |
So Kogi does not share boundary with Anambra? The extent people can lie just to make a point of fighting a lost cause.
|
alj harem: dont mind voting for him, yeah i can campaign and vote for him.You disappeared for a long time. Wetin happen na? We would need you to campaign for Nnaji because you are a militant campaigner! ![]() You have only ONE vote, but you can get 3000 votes. That is one of our strategies. ![]() |
alj harem: does not matter so long as he does the right thing then he has my vote. Whether Igbo or fulani I guess Nigerians could careless right now. We just want a nigerian president. thats allWould you vote for a Barth Nnaji? That is the caliber of men we shall parade. ![]() |
pazienza: Eze, the whole GEJ project was all about eastern nigeria sentiment, even umeh said in the above interview that there was no agreement made between APGA/Ohanaeze and GEJ in exchange for igbo support.I heard all that too, though my personal support came only after Ralph Uwechue assured us that there was an agreement with Jonathan to run for only one term and support the SE in 2015. My brother politics is a tricky game, and I think that whatever was used to mobilize Igbo votes for Jonathan was okay provided he delivered for the whole region. I don't think he has done that. He is basically allocating more federal funds to places that didn't even vote for him and neglecting the SE. For me, that is where the whole thing came to a head. I kept saying that I would end my support for him by the end of this year if I don't see any changes. I have not seen any changes! Victor Umeh's lament only ignited what I was already thinking about. Our experiment with bro Jona has not paid a good dividend, or at least has not met our expectations. So, let us field our own candidate in 2015. Win or lose, we should continue to field candidates in EVERY presidential elections in organized way, not in fragments. I know we can win, and even win easily. ![]() |
ndu_chucks: The realities tell us that an Igbo man stands a better chance of becoming the President if he is the flagbearer of a party not seen as an Igbo party, than being that of APGA. Unfortunately, you people are in denial and may continue to lose unless you wise up and learn how to play winning politics.Honestly, most of you are making the same miscalculation, which is that other parties will fair better even if they field so called national candidates. Fact remains that politics is a game of numbers, and whoever gets the highest number of votes, and spread (25% in 2/3rds of Nigeria) wins the election. Kurum. So if we get a GOOD candidate, and we support him THROUGHTOUT Nigeria, we can win, even in APGA. The problem with Nigeria's elections remains rigging. If Ojukwu could come third in a presidential poll in Nigeria, it says a lot about our (Igbo ) voting power. Not that we should field a tribalist as our candidate though. We should field men who are well known as GOOD and action oriented. Who no like better thing? So, it is very possible for us to win and win easily. We just need to organize ourselves better and present a winning candidate. That's all. |
ndu_chucks: Eze m maramma, you have apparently spoken sensibly for a change. To fully determine the sensibility and practicability of your utterances, I need to ask you, which parties APGA will form alliances with, in order to be successful - ACN, ANPP, PDP, AP, or other?APGA should go at it ALONE. Alliances tend to hide or mask the true party manifesto and agenda. APGA has a manifesto. If it is not good enough, it should be revised and packaged better. If we pick a dan kano as VP, we can win! ![]() |
pazienza: Of course, our candidate must run under the platform of APGA. Peter obi must be slowly eased out of APGA after the end of his tenure, that comment of his on GEJ endorsement, showed his true identity,he has no love for igboland, and we must not have his type championing our course.I honestly don't believe that there was ever a sentimental attachment (at least not by me) to the Eastern region of Nigeria. It has always been a matter of practical reality. As long as Nigeria continues as one country, (or even after disintegration) that region will continue to co-exist and be viewed as one by outsiders. No matter the amount of denials coming from any quarters, in or outside of it. The fact though is that the SS part of that region is so amorphous, and maintains a sizable population of umu Igbo, hence the need to consider them (as we plan ahead). BUT that does not mean that we (Ndigbo) must hang our future on a sure agreement with SS, heck they have not even agreed with themselves. lol We Ndigbo remain the engine of the East, no matter what anyone says. I would hope that people in the broader Eastern region realize this fact and start working with the rest of us, else we Ndigbo will go ahead and relate with the rest of Nigeria on our own terms. That's all. We supported Jonathan; that proves that we can support any one of us from that region. That some of us are thinking about fielding an Igbo candidate in 2015 is because ,firstly Jonathan openly committed to a single term and promised to support a SE candidate in 2015 (that is what Ohanaeze said, unless they lied). Secondly, he is not carrying the region along in terms of federal projects, at least in the SE parts. So, we must contest. The Nigerian politics is open to all comers. |
pazienza: Yea,the outcome of that meeting must be made public. If the outcome is negative,it would be a good propaganda tool to use to unite our people,it will help igbo people to see the bigger picture. If it is positive( this is an unlikely outcome), then the better.I totally agree with both bolded statements. Openness is what would save us in that effort, else, some iidiot will collect money and throw the whole thing under the bus. I am actually waiting for Amb. Ralph Uwechue (the Ohanaeze boss), to make a statement reassuring us of the deal he made with Jonathan in 2015, to the effect that he (Jonathan )would not contest the 2015 elections, and that he would support a SE candidate. We should all LOUDLY wait for him to tell us how we should contest. We should learn to start holding our leaders to account for their actions in representing our interests in Nigeria. By God, he should give a good account, else, his image/reputation and worth in Igboland will go down the drain so fast his head would spin. |
For double emphasis, that candidate MUST run under APGA. That party has so much potential, and is yet to be fully deployed. If that is done well, APGA will touch EVERY nook of Nigeria. |
pazienza: Soludo is another zik waiting to happen,he is not what we need now. Rochas or Ngige would be okay. But after that rochas comment during the bombing of igbo christians in the north,i kinda wonder if he won't sell us for power.I have to agree with the first bolded intoto. I am also a little concerned about that Rochas statement after that bombing against Ndigbo in the North. The truth is that we are only putting out candidates and subjecting them to thorough dispassionate scrutiny. Ngige is a good candidate, provided he is willing to leave ACN. We need his type of character in a presidential race. He also has a cult-like following, so that should help too. We all stand to be corrected as we seek that "perfect candidate" to lead our campaign for aso rock! ![]() |
Jarus: I wonder why our politicians fail to learn one simple lesson since the first republic: nobody can win presidential election on tribal platform in Nigeria. This has been proved again and again.Actually it is not true. The NPC was a tribal/sectional party, and it won with rigged census figures. It never won in the south. Correct me if I'm wrong. ![]() |
I would also advise that we NEVER support a PDP candidate for that post, EVER. The party of cacophony can NEVER serve the interest of the masses in Nigeria. Just my humble opinion. ![]() |
^^ You homofags won't leave men alone to discuss important issues. We ain't interested in men! ![]() |
@Everest Who is your best candidate from Igboland, and why? |
