Your statistics even support Achebe! hehehe cheesy cheesy

Here we go.

If I add Igbo share in Lagos 33 billion (1/3 of 33 billion), to Igbo share in Delta (about 1/3) to Igbo share in Rivers (about 1/3) to all the SE states, just the first digits (not adding fractions), I come up with roughly $64 billion under Igbo control..
If I do the same for all your Yoruba states and add you share of 1/3 in Lagos, I come up with $54 billion.

You see my friend, we top you by about $10 billion.

I think that intelligent people in Nigeria already know that because we send our females to school more than you, there is NO WAY you can be richer than us. wink

Okija_juju committed an unpardonable sin -he dissed the icon of our survival(the Ikemba), and made statements against Igbo in Imo and Abia that put a knife in Igbo unity.

These two sins are unpardonable, and I Ndu di n'eziokwu 1 of Igboland will NEVER endorse such person.

However, I am watching him. He seems to be on a path to repentance and self repudiation. It is a slow process which should bear clear fruits in the future.
One of the ways he could have speeded up the process was to offer his services to Ndigbo here. . . just any service. PointB is offering his service; so is Afam4eva and other members of the election tribunal. To lead, you must first learn how to follow -to serve. It would not go unnoticed and unrewarded.

I quarrel with folks who ally with outsiders to undermine Ndigbo. In Biafra, we called them "sabo" and Ojukwu issued the worst punishment available -be buried alive!

Any Igbo suggesting that we overlook such crimes should have his head examined.
PoliticsRe: Chinua Achebe: Why Nigerians Hate Igbo by Onlytruth(m): 2:15pm On Oct 20, 2012
It is a well established fact that Nigerians are PATHOLOGICAL HATERS OF TRUTH.

If there is a terminal disease called Truthocoma, Nigerians definitely suffer from this disease.

What Nigerians don't know is that Achebe is a man over 80 years old, and his latest Book THERE WAS A COUNTRY from which most of these people draw quotes, was not written today. cool

The man took his time, over MANY YEARS to chronicle and package the truth, and POWERFULLY DELIVERED IT TO DEVASTATING EFFECT.

I am Igbo, and I TOTALLY AGREE WITH HIS ASSESSMENT OF IGBO in that book.
Why can't Nigerians FOR ONCE IN THEIR PATHETIC LIVES accept the OPEN TRUTH WHICH KEEPS THEM AWAKE AT NIGHTS?

I would advise every Igbo person to pick up a copy of that book, read and meditate on it, and get ready to take on Nigerians.

Ignorance cost us dearly in the past. You do not have any more reason to remain ignorant.

If Nigerians have sworn to hate and never accept the truth, the least you can do is embrace the truth and get ready for their next round of evil plots.

Here I stand! cool cool cool

Now, that PointB has given some serious thoughts to the issues I raised, I can now look forward to a more credible leadership for umu Igbo.

We need someone with:

-Broad knowledge
-Broad mind (to understand that we umu Igbo must unite ourselves and our region)
-Sound education (to be able to confront and defeat Igbo enemies with sound arguments and command of English language)
-Militancy (show example of never backing down from a confrontation, a king must lead in front of his army)
-Organized (someone who never allows his personal foibles to upturn the applecart of umu Igbo)
-Futuristic (someone not fixated with the past, though never forgets the past)
-Great communicator

PoliticsRe: Eze Ndi Igbo Online Election 2012 - Nomination in progress by Onlytruth(m): 1:12am On Oct 19, 2012
Umu Igbo, let me share some thoughts that have been on my mind for a few days since the beginning of this process.

I want to -as part of our (Igbo) cultural revolution - make an observation, and put forward a suggestion.

I want to observe that one of the biggest socio-political (and yes cultural!) problem we (Igbo) tend to have, which is really a by-product of our republicanism, is POOR FOLLOWERSHIP.
In my humble opinion, no one can make a leader (never even mind a great one) if the person is "mmuo na eti onwe ya" (a lone masquerade; someone not beholden to any group interests, feelings - a selfcentered person; a rebel!). Every great nation has a great leadership history, and a strong followership and succession culture.

From the very first day we (I and my council members) came into office, some of the currently nominated members (whose names I will not mention, but they know themselves) basically went underground and rejected or absconded from roles assigned to them. Some never even accorded us any recognition; though they never openly stated so, it was easy to decipher from their comments that they were rebelling to the leadership. Some accepted to be council members, but skipped town also immediately afterwards.

Umunne m, I would not be saying anything new if I say that leading Ndigbo is one of the most challenging tasks anyone can undertake. That is part of why I will personally continue to revere Ojukwu till I die. He did the impossible for almost three years and lived to tell the story. The job is a SELFLESS and PAYLESS job. It is SELF MOTIVATED and SELF PROPELLED. The current electoral commissioner is doing it from his personal energy, resources and time. He keeps many sleepless nights to serve umu Igbo, uncompensated, and even unsung.

The question is HOW MANY OF THE NOMINEES CAN DO THESE?

Umunne m, I do not want to dampen your spirits (particulary the genuine altruistic contestants who should take over from us). I am only cashing in on an opportunity (presented by this election) to ensure that runaway and rebelious folks don't come back to ascend the very same position the occupant of which they despised and poopooed. We should NEVER reward such people.

If you reject the Ezeship of your brother, why should we accept yours?

So, followership is even more important than leadership- in this case Eze(ship); and I will support and follow any new Eze installed, so help me God! cool

As I stated before, I really do not want to continue in office (on principle). I have been doing some serious thinking (and even meditation) on the possibility of continuing in office for another term. I discovered that I am thoroughly torn between sticking to my principles, and removing myself from a job that I know how well to do.
I would not easily forgive myself if I fail in either. Yes, my dilemna is that bad!
At the very least, I would prefer that a current member of the council should succeed me, but I don't want to over-reach my powers by endorsing anyone.
If I were to endorse anyone, I would ask our electoral commissioner PointB to resign from his current duty and contest in my place.

I guess I'm putting the case in the court of umu Igbo.

Umunne m, jisie nu ike.

Cha cha cha Igbo Kwenu!

Ndu ndi Igbo!!! cool

Umunne m,

Firstly,I welcome you all to this year's election for the Eze Ndigbo Nairaland.

I thank God almighty -the Chukwu abiama (the God of Abraham) for his mercies, protection, direction,
and empowerment of the Eze, his council members and all umu Igbo here and around the world. I thank you all for your prayers, support, counsel and encouragement throughout this tenure. Without our God and your support, it would be impossible for I and my council members to hold the forth for one whole year (ending December 2012). It has been a testy year for us Igbo in all ramifications, both in Nigeria and in the diaspora; but through it all, we have remained focused and never wavered in our efforts to unite Igbo, Eastern Nigerians and all Nigerians who love and seek the truth. Without the truth, Ndigbo, Easterners and Nigerians can never advance.

Secondly, I wish to share some of the achievements of this Eze and his council members. They are few, but they are very foundational and almost revolutionary in some ways. When we took office, Igbo opinion on this site was very disparate, uncoordinated, and often chaotic. Our views merely reflected our individual levels of understanding and “uche onye adi ya njo”. It would seem that such culture of “uche onye adi ya njo” ties into the core Igbo essence of “onye obula bu eze n'ulo ya”; which really constitutes the most fundamental recipe of Igbo republicanism. That republicanism has served us well throughout history; however, there should be a time when we should speak with one voice for our own collective good. Throughout the history of Ndigbo, there has not been much successful attempts at speaking with one voice. We do not claim to have succeeded in that, but we have made a GIANT STRIDE forward, in this website, and have been copied by other Igbo groups online. Today, it is easier for Igbo to speak with one voice than before we came to “office”. Today, we in fact speak with one voice in Nairaland.

Igbo kwenu! cool

Thirdly, we have embarked upon a cultural revolution of sorts, through constantly attacking (using our comments) all strange and evil cultures that crept into Igboland since after the civil war: armed robbery; grand theft and embezzlement of public funds; unbriddled greed (ana eri na afo ejughi); pomposity and grandiosity (I makwa onye m bu!); Religious deceit and fraud (churches mushrooming our land); kidnapping; oppression (mmegbu); political treachery and traitors who sell the future of our children; strange foreign cultures that encourage all sorts of evil without remorse; open worship of money; criminal discrimination of our own in the name of Osu; laziness and coveting of neigbors assets; etc.

We have also encouraged a change in the mindset of Ndigbo towards the Nigerian nation, to reflect reality and survival. In that light, we STRONGLY urged our people to develop a militant mindset in Nigeria, and to view other Nigerians the same way they view us. We encouraged them to stop the victim mentality; illogical practice of developing other lands; building mansions outside Igboland only to be the first to carry their loads on their heads marching toward Igboland at the slightest signs of danger. My philosophy has been, and shall remain, that if a place is worthy of my mansion, the place must be worthy of my arms cache and a small army. Our history shows countless times when we were massacred in other parts of Nigeria, and were forced to abandon our hard earned assets to relocate to Igboland. Is it not the most stupid thing to do? If you are not sure of your balls, DO NOT BUILD ANY HOUSE OUTSIDE IGBOLAND! How hard is that to understand?

Fourthly, we launched ENYI -Eastern Nigeria Youths Initiative- with the aim of using the movement as a vehicle to advance all the values listed above. We drafted a constitution and created a logo. When we met at the council meeting, we decided that the nature of the movement should not be thrown open to all comers, because our enemies will likely try to infilterate and undermine it from within. So, we decided that we should keep it off Nairaland and grow it in a way that no one can undermine it. So, ENYI is up and running but purely by invitation; and if you get invited, know that you have won the trust and confidence of eagle eyed “scouts”. If you are not invited, pray for members and work harder at your personal qualities. The most important quality we need is SELFLESSNESS.

Fifthly, we decided that we should work to empower Ndigbo and Eastern Nigerians politically in the Nigerian nation. It is our humble opinion, that if we do all the right things in Nigeria, we shall not only inherit the Nigerian nation, but also help her develop and emerge a first world country. Our leaders in Nigeria before 1966 were doing fine until the mistake of January 1966. Eastern Nigeria was among the fastest growing economy in the world. Things were great! It is also my personal opinion, that the greatest act of vengeace we can “inflict” on our civil war adversories is to recover fully and still build the greatest economy the world has ever seen.

It is my personal opinion, that if we Ndigbo develop the right mindset of standing our ground and facing any plots of mass murder right in any part of Nigeria, soon, all Nigerians will learn not to mess with us in any part of Nigeria. I have looked around the world, and I can say with every emphasis, that the most economically advanced groups in the world are the most militant. They embrace war and bloodshed like second skin. It is not possible to be rich and not attract envy, conspiracy and murder plots. Even Abraham in the Bible had a small army with which he faced the Canaanites when they strayed into his property. We have no choice than to learn how to militantly defeat any would be mass murderers and asset thieves.

Finally, it is my humble opinion that I should not continue in office after December 31, 2012. We promised ONE year term for each Eze; we should stick to that. In same line of thoughts, we must NEVER allow a pretender, or anyone without the requisite qualities as stated by our able election commissioner PointB to emerge the Eze.

This office is too important to be left to charlattans and turncoats. If you have no passion for Igbo survival, please stay away. If you love yourself more than Ndigbo, please steer clear. If you are a coward, please do not bother.

May the games begin!

Ka Chineke gozie umu Igbo nile!

Isee, Isee, Isee!

Signed,

Onlytruth, Ndu di n'eziokwu 1 of Igboland, Eze Ndigbo Nairaland. cool cool cool

Myopia is built into your genes. You can't help it.
Everybody who is not afflicted by that gene knows that Nigeria made a big mistake in 1966/67 and that what our leaders proposed then would have saved Nigeria from a WHOLE lot of troubles down the years.
Your fathers, because they were myopic and lacked souls, like you today, couldn't see the future. They were busy scheming to steal our economic assets, like you are doing today. They failed to understand that you cannot control what you never had natural aptitude for.
They thought that treachery can run banks and create wealth for your own population.

Prof Corruption: I don't expect you to see it. You are disadvantaged in almost everything in Nigeria. You are not even competing favorably not to talk of colonizing others.
Says who?
Anyway, the truth is that you are too focused on the wrong things.
We are not winning you for nothing; there is a reason why we beat you in economy and political positioning in current Nigeria.
Like I said, all we need to do is FOCUS and WATCH you like hawks.

Even the North knows that you are the problem in Nigeria; you love reaping where you do not sow.
We Ndigbo are the lifeforce in Nigeria. Give us a decade more, and you would wish you never brought us back into Nigeria.

BTW I'm enjoying this new Nigeria. wink

dayokanu: So now its that they willingly located their Headquarters in Yorubaland, Initially it was that govt forced those Oil companies to have headquarters in Lagos

So which one

Were companies forced to have headquarters in Lagos or they chose Lagos on their own?

Waiting for the senseless Igbo logic that would follow
Oil companies should go back to our brothers and neighbors in SS if the oil is extracted from there.
Anambra state ensured that our oil is prospected by an Anambra oil company. I suspect that Imo and Abia may follow suit.
That is justice and fairness.

Banks are owned by Nigerians, and have no catchment area. It is survival of the fittest.
Nwa Yoruba, are you sure you can win me in that competition? lol grin

BTW why all the rants and bitterness. grin cheesy

dayokanu: ^^ WHy are your Igbo bank owners not relocating the headquarters back to Yiboland?

Why are they keeping the headquarters in Yorubaland? when the hausas have taken theirs to their region

Is it because Igbos just want to leech on others?
It is because you fought to bring us back into Nigeria. So, we decided to internally colonize you. cheesy

We must have our banks in your land, whether you like it or not; and we will buy up all your banks in time.
It is called economics and business.

Our first order of things is to ensure that we keep laser-like focus on your schemes in Nigeria.

Our future is very very very bright. cool grin cool

dayokanu: Big Question

What is the GDP of the whole SE compared to the SW minus Lagos.

5 SE States Anambra, Enugu, Imo, Abia Ebonyi vs Oyo, Ogun, Ondo, Osun Ekiti
Must I break it down to you?
SMH @ this level of pedestrian brain.

Do you know how much of Lagos banks is under Ndigbo control in Lagos?
Do you know how much Ndigbo control in the WHOLE Nigerian banks?
Basically, we have since turned the table and erased all the advantanges given to you by your thieving satanic "papa". cool

I watched a Nigerian movie (shot in Enugu) recently, and I was SHOCKED by the type of buildings and layouts springing up in Enugu.
The quality of the buildings are not found in any part of Nigeria, trust me. cool

We really have you guys where we want you.
From the information I have, we really should stay in Nigeria and deal with you guys: basically fix all the errors of 1966 till date.

Let me even share a little secret.
I have urged my "council members" that we stop supporting Biafra's secession, because honestly, I am happier with the emerging Nigeria.
The days of lies have since passed, and only the truth will shape the new Nigeria. All the priviledges of the civil war victors have since dwindled and the table turned!
We should not leave them when we have them by the jugular. cool Oh well @ BILIE.

What some of you don't know is that we are FARRRRRRRRRRRRRR ahead of you in terms of brainwaves. cool

Prof Corruption: Their lies and propaganda do not even add up. There was no law, in the first place, that made it compulsory for any multinational to have headquarters in Lagos. It was business decision of each company. Two, there is no presidential orders or fiat that say company A move your head office to location X. It's still the business decision of individual companies. There are numerous headquarters of diverse multinational companies in Lagos to start with but I am still scratching my head to get one in SE. None in Enugu, not even banks. What am I talking about, a region without International Airport, which serious multinational company will take its HQ to such a place?
Let me teach you an elementary lesson. Prof! hehe!
Go and check, SE has the next highest concentration of BANKS in Nigeria after Lagos (After Lagos, Anambra has the next highest bank branches). And guess what again, outside of Lagos, no other SW state even comes close to Anambra state (for example) in number of bank branches.
Now imagine what would happen after GEJ completes Enugu International Airport. shocked shocked

Anyi ga eme unu aru! Chai! shocked grin grin grin

And so, since this thread has degenerated to open buffoonery by cornered oil thieves, I would take my leave until worthy intelligent foes show up.

@htajz, great job buddy.

Victory is certain, because oil thieves can't fool all the people all the time.

dayokanu: Some weeks back when the Igbo started their whining about the indegenisation policy, Someone asked them what happened to the companies in the East if Yorubas took those ones. they were not able to answer.

They are angry that Yorubas took over multinational companies in Lagos, Oyo, Ogun state. And they couldnt account for those companies in Anambra, Enugu and Imo state
The ULTIMATE TRUTH is that we Ndigbo want all the oil companies to return to the areas where oil is prospected.
You cannot rob Peter to pay Paul.
That is wrong and immoral.
I know these are strange words to you, but please try to stretch your soul (if you have any) a little.
It doesn't have to be about personal gains. It is about JUSTICE!
