Eastcoast:Hmnnn. I have been looking around for a while too about this. Your statement just confirmed what I have been thinking all this while. |
I'm a centrist (Libertarian) and I love it.
|
I think you're a prophet of doom. |
When people don hear themselves finish, dem go come around say na God speak to them. |
@Chinani, I wonder what that means too. |
Looks like there will never be an end to this picture thingy. |
I have read some funny threads + entries on this forum before now, but I have never seen anything so funny like the one posted by K2. Bros K2, abeg, Carry go!!! We dey behind you!! |
@david, My brother, you know, I just love the way you look at issues. Very objective and downright frank. I quite appreciate your ''helplessness'' as regards making the choice for a new leader after Olusanni Abachanjo's exit - I hear he has an exit plan in the pot, he should not be allowed to stay 1 minute longer, after May 29, 2007 at Aso Villa. But we have to use every available means (including Nairaland Forum) to drum it in to those who care to listen (and I know many Nigerians are listening) that we do not want sycophants at the top anymore. We don't want people with questionable records and characters governing us anymore in this country - at all levels. We do not want people who fight corruption with corruption, claim God is in control when they are in control, pull the wool over our faces, punish us in the midst of plenty and are ethnic bigots, coming around singing the same old songs to us this time. We will tell them that if they do, they will die like the third term dream died recently. We need people with high integrity, proven track records of leadership ability, foresight and energy. We need people who'd mount the podium and speakout - not people who'd come around reading rhetorics and mumbling incoherent words. We want ebullient leaders, who'd correct us with that wonderful charm when we go wrong and not pounce on us with the force of a hammer on a flea! God give us leaders who would fear Him in spirit and in truth at all levels of governance in this country. I have been looking at the people we have around in the country. All I can say is that the best among the lot should be allowed to lead us. There are quite a lot of them up there. Gamaliel Onosode, Donald Duke, Victor Attah, James Ibori, Audu Ogbeh (He's a shinning example), Bola Tinubu, Aliko Dangote, etc etc. May God at this time help our people to choose right in 2007. Amen. |
Paying tithes is something I believe is optional not by compulsion Pay if you're convinced you need to pay. Hold back if you do not feel like paying. My church normally encourages members to pay their tithes and give offerings. They don't force us to do it. I think this is the best approach to this matter by any Church - except of course, the church leaders have a sinister motive for coming up with the congregation. And Madam Alheri, I hope my apology on divorce is accepted. |
GL:Well, OK, as in you're surprised at my entry up there? But you've stated what should pacify everyone. Marrying for love, and getting the parties concerned to be privy to all the properties owed by them. I think that's good enough. |
@Alheri, Madam, long time o! And I hail o. How you dey? It's been a while since I read something from you. I hope say my outbursts on divorce no just make you forget about one of your friends sha? Take care o. |
jagwar:@Jagwar, It will be difficult joining issues with you on this matter after so much has been said and assimilated by sane, reasonable, responsible and upright people. So, I think I should just ignore you. No point arguing with a short-sighted, shallow minded person like you. Anyways, I'll advise you read through earlier entries on this matter before going to press. It will surely take off a lot of steam from your already burnt body! |
@Rasque, Well, we can always have those other goodies later on in another administration, other than OBJ's. I have always known that there's something sinister about that bill. Good riddance to bad rubbish. |
Source please. |
Krysty and Modups, OK whatever you say but don't say I didnt tell you when everything blows up!Madam Alheri, it's been a while since I last read anything from you. Remember that divorce thread? I'm very sorry if I get you mad at me. But we could be friends again. Take care. |
So, what's Seun's take on this. I thot he would have activated the PM stuff by now. What's holding you back? |
