dtaminator: My Nairaland Family,
All glory to God!!
Finally got the golden mail today.
First my story.
. Long story short, cutoff visited 413 in May just to pick us up. We submitted out application on the very last day. Time line below.
ITA- May 31st AOR-29th August Meds passed and IP1- Sept 12th NA2-Sept 13th File moved to London VO- Oct 25th(got message of how to find a job in Canada) Sent mail to confirm VO on 12th Nov, got confirmation of London on the 15th Request to pay RPRF- Dec 5th PPR- Dec 6th
We used a gift deed and only a small part of my bank statement as the six month printout was too large to upload.
Marriage cert had Civil Engr(my education) my job was in another NOC.
No LOE or anything No ADR even though wifey has had a couple of visa refusals in the past.
I would like to encourage us that there is absolutely no reason to fear the dreaded London Visa Office as our very imperfect application scaled through in a reasonable time. Package your application to the best of your ability, be truthful, and follow CIC's instructions.
All the best to all hopefuls.. Congratulations |

Hafsat24: I have been reading for months and must say you all have really been helpful, May God bless y'all..so after much ado hubby finally decided to get on board..we are looking at starting the process this month..i would like to ask some questions pls
1. Hubby has a Masters degree in Electrical/Electronics eng'g from the U.K, however he has his transcripts with him..would it pose a problem if he sends it to WES himself? Or he should request for the school to send it since his is not sealed
2. He has over 5yrs experience, what IELTS scores should we aim at to get good CRS scores..
3.My passport is in my maiden name but my degree has a third name..would that pose a problem?
4.We don't have a marriage certificate as the wedding was conducted in a mosque and no certificate is usually issued in the part of North we got married..however i have court declaration of marriage we did at the federal high court just a month after the wedding as i needed it for NYSC then..can it be used for anything or we need to do a court marriage?
Sorry for my long epistle pls Go to page 0 of this thread and read the link. |

stonecoldcafe: Hello every one. I am reading from the 2 thread. From the information i am seeing there, i don't have to access my degree if i have a masters. So this is my case Degree from a Nigerian university Masters from a UK university
Can someone confirm for real that if i focused on just the UK Master transcript to WES, this would not become an issue for me. Anyone with a positive testimony of this should please share. Ejo...
PS: The only reason i'm not inclined to go ahead with the degree transcript is the associated cost. My school is fairly decent in responding to foreign bodies.... You are correct, Evaluate only your masters. |

elfmann: Some times it is not the spouse's fault. A woman was granted B1/B2, she traveled upon landing she started calling us.. How her husband a doctor must check if she can give birth again so that one will file for their siblings.. Omo in 30yrs time? Na so Nigeria is doomed reach.. Or she would go back and marry a usc.. divorce and remarry her husband. If care is not taken.. She may refuse to come back to Nigeria oh eventually. Mr elfman still dropping nuggets with reality check. How is your application going. |

oluwashina1973: Is it possible to apply as married and choose unaccompanied spouse. since she is not coming along better still not to do medicals or PCC for her.. she is abroad. Focus on just mine and move on without divorce or separation hoping for reconciliation in future. Please confirm. If you want to file with an unaccompanying spouse she must do medicals and do PCC for her together with a LOE stating your reasons as you have explained now.the only time you skip this is if you file for divorce/separation. Make peace with your spouse or take formal steps to end it. Hope you make the best decison |

Plenty good news on the thread. Congratulations. I have a bit of sad news. So my Canada application is put on hold at the moment due to family issues beyond my control. That's the much I can share. So I won't be submitting my PPR profile.
Don't know when I will resume or resubmit my profile. I will also take a break from answering questions. Am sure there are sufficient people to answer.
I really wish everyone a successful application. |

mzjennypher: @hifyty is it too late to reschedule? especially my speaking? My sister missed her test because of this. Go to British consulate office not TLS. It's also in Victoria. Island. They stop giving passport by 1pm. We found out after the test that you can do this. You can't do the test without the passport except you have a medical report and you won't even get a full refund. Go to the consulate today |

ysmd: @Elf man.Am hoping for ITA next draw my score is 448.My birthday is in August. My question is if I get Ita in July does it matter that my birthday which is in August could affect my Pr application. As am already above 30years If you don't submit before your birthday I think your points will drop. However if the point drop is still within the cutoff then you are good. |

Those who did not get a ITA today, don't be troubled. It's expected that the numbers would go up considering the 4 weeks break. What goes up must surely come down. |
