I have moved passed it. We are all not the VO. The most important thing is to be credible and honest in all off the information you provide...your profession ooo....your job experience....(which is ur NOC) Every other thing that they need clarification on, be able to clarify. My thots again....I wonder what people that studied Economics and wrote Econimist as profession will do if they are claiming customer service NOC
@ysmd says she wants to put compliance officer in her job history and put accountant in her personal history for the exact same period, is that not something a VO would wonder about?

@tpyogirl.
Don't answer yes to both questions. Refusal of entry is different from refusal of visa.
Refusal of entry is when you get to another country and you are not allowed to go in at the border. Hence you might have been given a visa and still denied entry.
The two questions have refusal of visa, the screenshots are on the thread look at it closely.

Optionese pls be open minded. I am sure you have heard people saying things like "I dont practice my profession". The fact that i am a lawyer does not mean my NOC must be lawyer. I could be a barrister by profession but my job experience, would be my NOC. Dat doesnt mean i am not a lawyer by profession cos i have the training and cert. My thots...
Like I said earlier on, ok then. If the explanation does not apply to you move passed it. If you didn't understand my point move past it too. This has nothing to do with open mindedness. Someone asked a question I answered to the best of my ability. If you think my suggestion is not tenable suggest to the person your solution so that the person can make an informed decision. Am not a VO.

Most of the people who have this problem had Public service on their certificate and they have never worked in public service. This is important so suggest what you think they should do.

So what you are basically saying is that at the time the chartered accountant who is a compliance officer was getting married, he ought to have filled compliance officer as profession on his marriage certificate and not accountant. I dont think the Visa officers are robots. They are human and i'm sure they think
Am sure you saw where I said if the job you are doing has a generic term that covers a wide range of sub heads, your NOC would be ok

The year/month you got married where you working as accountant or with an NOC that is similar? In ur personal history what was your NOC on the year you got married. The NOC on your job history what was your NOC on the year you got married? 3 questions must be answered with the same NOC

I personally dont think it should. But i am also throwing it to the more experienced in the house to educate us. Lets hope someone drops an important advise on this.
This is important for those who are yet to submit not to make mistakes. If you go married in 2016 and your job at that time was working in a bank as a customer service manager, you will or should have entered in the place for profession BANKER. Now when filling this form the NOC for banker and customer service are similar. A LOE stating that a generic profession of banker instead of being specific job title would pose no problem. However if at the time of marriage your profession was banker and you entered lawyer (because that's what you graduated from school with) , I think that poses a problem

What am saying in the long run is that your NOC in your marriage certificate should be in sync with your 10years history and job history if applicable.

Someone here explained how a different NOC on marriage certificate has held his friend back from PPR. Think about it why is your profession at the time of your marriage not the same as your work history. The VOs are trained for this job to look for loopholes.

I hope I haven't confused anyone. This stuff is important.

Hello house,

Here is my scenario, for each section I uploaded all the documents related to it. Like for POF, I merged the bank statement, bank letter, gift deed etc as a document and uploaded.

Looking at some posts here and other sites, some mentioned they merged these documents with their LOE.

Which is preferred or more effective?

I know there's no one way to do this, but your thoughts will be appreciated.

Thanks in anticipation.
The way you have done it is the right way

Goodday people, great one going on here.

Tried to read thru the thread for weeks but havent found an answer to my question so i decided to skip to the end and just ask.

I sent my BSC and a Diploma (Abridged Airframe & Power Plant) obtained from the Nigerian College of Aviation Technology Zaria to IQAS for the ECA. they assessed my BSC and didnt do d diploma. I sent them a mail to complain that the skool(NCAT) is like some named institutions in canada and the course must have been accredited by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) whose head office is in Montreal, and this is was i was told;

Thank you for your inquiry regarding the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) assessment outcome.

Your Diploma Abridged Airframe and Powerplant was excluded from assessment as while the awarding institution meets IQAS’s recognition requirements, the specific program does not.

Should you wish to initiate a review of your assessment outcome, please send to the IQAS office a signed request either via Fax or postal mail (a simple message similar to your email will be sufficient). Please also ensure to include any supporting evidence to substantiate your request. If you are planning to send the request by Fax, please ensure you use the applicable prefix; IQAS Fax numbers is 1-780-427-2655.

Please what shld my next line of action be becos I really need the points.
The mail is explicit. Write to them and convince them why that diploma should be assessed. Perhaps talk to the school for some documentation

Please if one is married but does not want to include spouse in any way because of marital issues as one will not be travelling with spouse and also one's international passport is in married name,a woman. How does one do it such that filling single and processing the express entry visa as single will not amount to misrepresentation.
First of all you are married. If you don't want to go with your spouse know that he must do his medicals and submit police report. Then you explain during submission of documents why he cannot accompany you.

If the reason is due to a break down of marriage, you should file for a divorce

Good morning guys. Please I need some clarification on three issues. Kindly assist.

1. The change of name document I intend to upload for my wife for the eAPR is just the newspaper publication stating that all her original documents remain valid. Is this sufficient or does she need to swear an affidavit too? Has anyone used the change of name document without any issues? And if she needs to do the affidavit, will it raise any suspicion if she does it now? We got married in 2011.

2. Also, I read on this thread that we are to indicate the IME number for the medical test somewhere on the eAPR. I have not seen where it was asked and I have already filled out all required details pending upload of documents.

3. Lastly, there has been a lot of back and forth with respect to how long one should have the POF in the account for. In the past 2 months, there have been transfers in and out of my account (not huge lumpsum transfers) but I now have the required funds. Will this suffice to apply now or do I necessarily have to keep that money in place for 6 months?

Pleasr help clarify. Thanks.
1.is her passport in her madien name? If not no need. But if yes you can get the affidavit of change of name. Doesn't matter if you got married in 2011.
On the POF. Read cic requirements on what to do and make an informed decision

Yes and also my cooperative is dropping my funds in June and my first ITA would expire July 10th wanted room for the money to breathe in my account or if there is delay. It's cooperative for government workers and sometimes there are delays.

From IRCC website, it is clearly written that pof should be in the primary applicant account. So, I know what I am saying. However, that does not mean if the pof is in the spouse account, it won't be honoured.

Before you crucify me, are there not so many gift deeds that are done on borrowed funds? Gift deeds have been so over used. I won't be surprised if VOs stop the use of gift deeds.

What do you mean by concealment? If the VO wants more information, they can always request for new bank statements from the applicant to be sure the money is still there. I have seen application rejected with gift deed but I am yet to see applications that were rejected when the spouse transferred funds to the PA's account. They genuinely have the fund, so why should they use gift deed?

Did you even take your time to read my post? Did you see my question on if the cooperative is registered?

I have given my advice. It is not by force that it has to be taken.

I rest my case!!
Dupsy I don't think he meant any harm.

Boss13:
Okay which means you have less than or up to two months left to submit your application. I don't know what date in June you will be credited.

Now your wife can submit her 6 months statement of account. Go ahead and buy the Tbills for 6 months and attach the certificate as part of the POF. Now you don't need to submit your own statement of account.

Alternatively, since your Cooperative is registered and I don't know if your wife's Cooperative is registered. If her isn't registered. Let her buy the Tbills after she has liquidated and you submit your 6 months statement of account with the fund intact.

Submit your application close to expiration date and also print the account statement close to that date, but you would have already purchase the Tbills. In short you should have purchase the Tbills like yesterday. The reason I said print your statement close to the expiration date of your application is because it will show that the money has stayed at least for a month.

However, you may be asked to submit statement of account again in the future. This is to satisfy the VO that the money is still in your account. The TBill certificate already will show that you cannot withdraw the money till after 6 months - so this is good.

Whichever you choose, you MUST explain concisely your POF in your letter of explanation. You can even indicate that you do not have plans to withdraw your funds till you get COPR.
*tickles* am a "She " and a single mum. Will take your advice on how to go forward. I got ITA in April, then I reject it but I got a new one today I have received my email about an hour ago.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by optionese: 5:36pm On May 31, 2017
Boss13:
My first question is when are you applying. Second question, have you gotten ITA?

Good to know your Cooperative is registered. Get a letter from them, including all the documents you specified above.

I don't know, just my opinion, I don't think it's okay to then buy Tbills with this same money again. You can leave it in your account (just my opinion) especially if you intend to submit your application soon.
Yes I have ITA, I would be credited with my cooperative moneyin June when salaries are paid) am a government worker) if I put my money in tbills and there is a further request for funds all I need to do is submit the tbills certificate that would suffice right ht?
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by optionese: 5:32pm On May 31, 2017
Boss13:
Spouse of the primary applicant do not submit POF. The POF section in the document checklist will only be indicated for the Primary applicant. However, the statement of account that the primary applicant would submit can either have his/her name; the name of his/her spouse or a joint account in their names.

The POF should not be a joint account of the primary applicant with a 3rd party like for instance a sibling or a joint account of the spouse and a 3rd party maybe his/her father.

So if all the funds is in the spouse account. The primary applicant can just submit the bank statement of his/her spouse as POF. Rather than receiving a large sum of money and using gift deed. Marriage certificate is documentary evidence that you and your spouse are married. Affidavit for change of name indicates especially for women that you once bear a different name, when you were single, but now have another name.

Further questions won't be asked. So I was surprised when I read comments where husband's were transferring money to their wives, who is the primary applicant, and using a gift deed.
But @ottawaboi has the POF in his and his wife's account. So are they submitting the two accounts?
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by optionese: 5:22pm On May 31, 2017
Boss13:
HA!!! Then this is a problem. I still insist that the funds be liquidated immediately because of time. According to the OP, it is their money - they didn't borrow. To avoid much issues - just leave the money for 6 or 7 months, then apply.

Alternatively, if they are in a hurry - do gift deed. However, the essence is WHY!!! Why gift your wife money that belongs to you both. Like I said, do gift deed ensure other documents are okay without issue - they are good to go. Oh! Don't forget to use LOE to explain. You can say you and your spouse operate your finances separately so you are gifting her the money.
Let me just part of my money own is coming from my cooperative. My comparative is registered. What I intend to do is get a letter signed that the money belongs to me and all the the other things. I will also upload my payslips and my card which marks the deduction. My money hasn't been deposited yet but I feel like even if the money is deposited today and I print out my statement tomorrow am fine. And immediately my money is complete I am putting it in tbills. Cos the interest on it is necessary
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by optionese: 5:15pm On May 31, 2017
Boss13:
What you just explain here is the reason VOs cast doubt on lump sum. What is the essence of a husband transferring money to the wife and then support with gift deed? That's why Accra VOs frown so much with Nigerian applications.

The question the VO will ask is - why can't the husband just submit his statement of account because POF can be in the name of the spouse of primary applicant.

Your advice shows concealment. A gift deed can protect such concealment but it opens the applicants to intense scrutiny and delay in processing their application.

I will only recommend your advice if his Cooperative isn't registered and further add that ALL their documents must proofread multiple times for errors because one slight error leads to ADR and further delay.
Well I didn't know this part of spouse can submit POF too. @ottawaboi be patient lets all deliberate on it for the next few days before you decide what to do.
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by optionese: 5:01pm On May 31, 2017
Boss13:
POF can either be in the name of the primary applicant or in the name of the spouse. Nothing wrong in POF being in your name. No need to transfer to your wife.

Please note that this is just my opinion. The supposed problem with your POF is your cooperative, because the VO will need to confirm objectively that you have the money you claimed in your application and I do not know how your cooperative will satisfy that. You can either get a certificate from your cooperative after you liquidate the funds to show when the investment was made and when it was liquidated. This can assist the VO to form an opinion that the money in your statement of account is actually from your cooperative. Also, like I said previously, no need transferring the money again to your wife. It may appear you are trying to conceal something. Please note that I said, it may appear. Then you can explain your proof of funds in your letter of explanation. And if you can liquidate this cooperatives investment today, please do, but get the certificate and letter from them and also hope your cooperative is registered.

On your wife's international passport, she has two choice - wait next year to get a new one or apply with the old one. Also, the name on her passport must be the same on her application. There is a section for applicants who have other names - she can then put her new name there. Then support with marriage certificate, affidavit and newspaper column for change of name.
I don't think cooperatives give certificates oo. You have a card like esusu where you mark the monies paid monthly. If the monies are deducted from your salary it will be reflected in your pay slips. I think that's sufficient proof. I don't know if cooperatives will write letters like bank and add their certificate of registration. Anybody who gets that is lucky . I belief that the deposit will reflect the name of the depositors, your payslips(as many as possible 12 random ones) to show the debit. A vo can decide with that
