Hmn, it's really confusing. Which do I go with now? call to bar date or university graduation date? from the wording of the question I think it's the graduation date as it asks for when you 'first' became qualified to practice.

Please lawyers that have gotten ppr which one did you put in your profile??

As for NCA, at least let me get ita first na grin
The person you quoted answered you. Year you graduated

@ the bolded....Are you for real? Always closed your eyes during IELTS exam just to concentrate?

Numerous sites and tips advice candidates to keep an eye on the next question for two reasons
* The answers may come in very quick succession so you don't miss it.
** To help you monitor the keywords to listen so as to catch up with the audio if you miss a question.

Please tell us the real strategy you used in concentrating during the test to get a consecutive band 9.

Hello future test takers... Please don't try this in the exam hall.
Yup i did this when listening to the questions. Wrote ielts once got 8.5. You need the voice to speak. Eyes shut works well . I practices this way too

Warm greetings to everyone in here. I will be concluding my graduate program in the United States next year and I am planning to immigrate to Canada with my family who are on F2 Visa. The procedures for the Express Entry program and Comprehensive Ranking System are well understood, as I already know my approximate point( 443- with spouse). My inquiry bothers on being able to use the Retirement Savings Account (Pension) as Proof of Funds(POF). Yes, I understand that answers might have been provided to this similar question before now, but I want to if one can still use it even if the twenty-five percent benefit had already been applied for and received by the account holder. I have received mine already; so , I want to know if it is still possible to use it as a POF notwithstanding the nonavailability of the twenty-five percent any longer.

Again, is there any advantage of being a U.S resident(non-immigrant F1 visa holder) in the whole application process? Also, does having a graduate degree from the United States have any 'influence' in job search?

Thanks for the help. Document is 86 pages in all. Stanbic did not give the letter in IRCC format is the problem i have and because my account has lots of transactions day in day out, the statement is bulky.
Go back and ask for them . It's your right . Ask to speak to the manager. Show them the format.

Thanks for your input. I successfully compressed it with an online PDF service but the bank statements texts and some other texts got really blurred. If i scan again using a lower DPI, it will end up worse...this is really confusing.
Please please and please if the document is blurred do not submit it. How many pages is the document? Why don't you get a letter in the required format instead of statements

Hi guys. kindly help with compression options for PDF. I have used small PDF to compress my POF docs from 75mb to 14.5mb and ilovepdf and smallpdf says they cannot compress anymore without significant loss of quality.

Please help, what do i do to compress this further to the 4MB or so IRCC accepts.
You just have to rescan this documents with a lesser resolution. No way a 14.5mb document can be compressed to 4mb.

There's really no much difference between Ip1 and Ip2. So if you missed the NA stage in between the two stages, one might not really be able to tell. Or this there a way to tell?
If you checked the Excel page i sent you will see the difference

Thank you.
Yes, yes and yes. You should follow up with a call. This is a ground for refusal.

Hi everyone, i am not sure if this is the right thread, but i will try, i welcome all the new comers to canada, it is indeed a splendid place. I came to Canada in 2013 and recently bagged my canadian passport, i am a commercial pilot flying private planes based out of ottawa. I am writing this post as i intend returning to Nigeria, I will call it an invitation to swap lives if it makes sense..lol, i see a lot of people are moving to ottawa. I am looking for an opportunity for a house, car and furniture exchange. I am looking for a place in ikeja to be close to the airport. I stay in a modern 2 bedroom apartment with utilities etc. I am a bachelor and happy to go home so please do not try to convince me otherwise.my aim is to hit the ground running like i never left, any help is appreciated.
MR PILOT we won't try to change your mind but we just want to tell you one or two things .

Hello, good morning pls how much cash do i have to show at the airport because I want to use a landed property as my POF during the process.
Is it the same $12474?
you should have your funds handy when landing . However you don't need to have the cash with you it could be in your a count so long as you can provide a statement of account when asked.

I hope you're not in naija saying 6 percent is high ? I don't think any country has a 0 percent unemployment rate. Any way a lot of the white and would only take certain jobs. into consideration, that 6 percent may be skewed. Lastly, not all 36 million people are of working age.
*bolded * i laughed so hard.

What of the work reference addressed as just TO-WHOM-IT-MAY CONCERN or must it be specific to the Visa office?
Like I said any of the two ways you listed is fine

Dear friends,

Thank you for the help so far.

I am getting different information from past threads. My past employee is asking for address of letter. Do I just address my Work reference letter as '' TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN'' or it has to be specific to the visa office. If specific, which Visa office? I read CIC, Case processing Centre Ottawa also here, others said IRCC Sydney, Nova Scotia.

My Gift deed letter from My father was addressed to CIO, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), Sydney, Nova Scotia. He is not in the country presently and notarised the letter in his resident country- been there for years. Is this okay please and also the address too? though i plan to include a LOE to the effect

Please pardon my ignorance and clarify please. I see it requires so much detail in filling post-ITA forms and I do not want to take any chances.
Yea it ok to address it as you have done

I have been at IP1 for over a month now and It's a little frustrating.
I do realise that there's no yardstick to follow as people have different processing speeds. I can only categorically say that it won't exceed 6 months.
At the same time, I am still a bit worried and hoping that I do not have any issues with any submitted docs.

But guys, when is it a good time to get actually worried and try to either call, find out visa office or request for gcms notes?
If you are in one spot for more than one month you should call and or order gcsm notes. I posted the number earlier on. Click on my previous posts to see how to go about it.

Online masters and post graduate diplomas and even one year graduate certificate programs from colleges will count. If it's from a canadian college, all the better. If it isn't, you'll be safer sticking with a masters or pgd as evaluating bodies may not recognise the certificate.
I don't think this is correct cos when stimulating crs score, you are asked if you have a Canadian education. it specifically asks if you were in Canada for at least a specific period in the course of study. I don't think online masters qualify as Canadian education for the purposes of getting points.

Uhm, I don't plan on going there as a lawyer, I want to go there as a skilled personnel, fashion.
You didn't read the link i gave you. You may run into difficulty if you don't fully understand what CIC is all about. I saw someone advising you on going through the route of entrepreneur. Something tells me you don't understand how that works either.

Anyways whether or not you are going to practice law in Canada you should evaluate your university degree LLB with IQAS and not WES. A word is enough for the wise.
