Hi Guys- this is my first post on this thread. I have some few questions regarding qualification. I am 34 with a degree . My CRS is hovering around 395 and i need an extra qualification to boast it. I have exhausted all other means

My questions are:

Does Canadian online courses count for anybody point. I am thinking of doing an online certification course . I've found couple of Universities in Canada but, want to be sure before wasting money on it?

Which one should i do ; Diploma or a year certificate?

I am kind of desperate right now due to my age as my score will drop again in August ,2018.

Will WEC/ IRCC accept a year certificate from Damelin or other colleges in South Africa ( i'm based in SA) if i decided to take the course in SA?

Please guys any advise will be highly appreciated now. i am confused on what to do!

Online courses don't count. If you don't have a masters , you can try to get a masters. You can also try the PNP route. Put pnp on the search button to find out about it

Perhaps you can send another mail. I sent a mail to know my visa officer and got a response in 6hpurs. Search for the cic email address that starts with CPC

Me ke? No idea. LVO takes their jolly good time. If you are on IP2 for more than 30days you should send an email

Someone suggested using Microsoft edge web browser. Did you move to IP2? I think it may be a mail for biodata page. Someone had same issue. Let's know if it works

When I was using the CRS tool to calculate my CRS, I entered my llb degree as a bachelor's degree and it gave me 416 but when I entered it as a professional degree it gave me 456. I'm confused pls.

Hi law is a professional degree. If you read page 0 like i suggested you will find it. Use IQAS and not Wes for evaluation it will access your llb as a professional degree. Also click on my moniker to see all law related questions

Evaluate your law degree LL.B not your BL.

Use IQAS. It will be graded as professional degree.

Hello Beautiful Nairaland Family!
We finally moved into our new apartment yesterday. My Angel and his wife ensured we enjoyed our first night here. First, he came with his car on the 31st and picked our 10 suitcases to the apartment. Then, on the 1st, he came for us and conveyed us to the house .

As shops were closed, we couldn't buy some basic things like Duvet. While my husband and I were unpacking, I quickly made 'Nsala' soup, that's white soup with dry fish and also made some eba. Kai!, I didn't know my children have missed swallow like this o. We all dived into the food and by force, all the running nose and cold vanished.

The caretaker stopped by. He left so many things for free for us; plates, drinking glasses, wine glasses, champagne glasses, tea cups, forks, a cooking pot, a frying pot, and some food . I was like, no , that's too much. He said, you guys need them to settle in comfortably , later yo can begin to buy yours. But for now, it's a gift from me to you guys .

Then, we bought the fridge, cooker, washing machine and dryer as well as TV from him at a great price. He used to stay in the apartment.

Few hours later, my Angel came with a big sack of duvet, bedspreads, blankets, pillow cases from his wife to us. The wife made a pot of white rice, chicken stew and a plate of fried plantain. Then added a chilled bottle of wine and a packet of news for the children. I was like woooow! They said, we know you guys can easily but these stuffs but today, shops are close till 2nd or even 3rd. We can't be here and watch you suffer in this cold without basic things of life! Before I forget, he also gave us a small heater to use in the bedroom because according to them, it will take a while for the apartment to heat up as we would like considering we are coming from a tropical region. So, a small heater in the room would be handy.

Walahi, if that guy didn't bring that heater along, I am 101 % sure, we would have run back to the hotel because aside the bedroom we slept in, other rooms are freezing cold.

He then asked us to prepare our list so he would take us to where we would buy them since his wife is busy with the kids. He would be available to do that today and tomorrow before my classes start on the 4th.

When he left, I started crying. My husband said something to me. It is always good to also give because we never know when we will be given back in return. 2 weeks before we left, I started giving out all the things my children used, from cars seats , clothes, walkers, swings, toys, cribs to total strangers I met on social media because I advertised for people who needed any of those items to contact me. My husband was even asking me then why give out all, why couldn't I sell some of them. I said No. My spirit has asked me to give them out to people who would need them. I wasn't selling. At that point, we needed money to tidy up one or two things . I had no doubt in my mind that those items should be given out free.

So, that's my update! God bless us in all our endeavors!

good evening all, pls i want to apply for saskatchewan oid, but the fixed deposit cert that i uploaded in november when creating my profile has november 13th as maturity date on it. mwhile i av liquidated the money and used it for something else which i can cash back this coming week n fix again. My question: can i use the fixed deposit cert like that or wait to fix another one and wait for another three months before applying. pls ur advice, 300 dollars no be moimoi

You should submit a recent bank statement. Your money doesnt have to be in fix deposit for it to be valid.

Please note that the agent is actually not a lawyer. Mr. A. contracted and paid him to create a profile and secure ITA but nothing is coming forth yet. So Mr. A. is no longer comfortable with the agent and has decided to go the DIY way. Hence, can Mr. A go ahead to create another profile with same information but different NOC?

What if a profile went from the default to “medicals passed” to “we do not need additional documents” then ADR & CSE and then “add docs you provided have been uploaded” to “add docs you provided are being reviewed”?

All this while the background check has been “Not applicable”.

Background check is the main thing . The documents part speaks for itself. Check the progressions below

You already submitted your EE as per you had ITA and now AOR? If yes . Check the Excel sheets for progression . To know your Visa office write an email to CIC to know your VO. GCSM notes should be requested as much as you ant preferably at NA2, when moved to local VO and if you are in one stage for more than 30 days(all my opinion)

Don't think so. I paid with my card. I haven't received my notes yet. But transaction went through 14th. They would call the citizen to confirm the request on phone .

No. Just ensure the person uses his email address as the recipient (as in where the notes will be forwarded to).

We used Ethiopia airline, Flight was scheduled for 1.10pm out of naija. We left the house at 8.30am and got there in good time, we had 11 check in bags (paid for 1 extra bag), 5 hand luggages, 2 laptop bags and 3 children trolley bags, hehehe, me sef tire for the load(family of 5).
