Good day, please is there glasses meant for people that's always on their laptop. I've been having headaches for months, does MRI see if one has eye problems??

headache is a symptom associated with various health conditions. it would take medical history and investigations to know what might be d cause. MRI may be needed to rule our a neurologic cause . YEs there are glasses meant for people that are regular screen users .

But glaucoma does not run in the family. The only disease that runs in my family is high BP/hypertension. So i don't know why I'm the first to have glaucoma. I feel depressed at times, i just have to learn how to sleep with my back every time. may God help me.

Hypertension is a risk factor for glaucoma . There are various risk factor for glaucoma. Hereditary is just one of d risk factors

Hello Sir. I've been using betaxolol for a month now. I notice the eyes don't ache anymore but i do feel uncomfortable when i sleep on my side, i do have this feeling that the eyes want to come out which makes the eyes achy at times so i always sleep on my back. Sleeping on my back gives me a relief.

yes I came across a research article recently that states sleeping on the side could cause an increase in the eye pressure. Probably , that could be an explanation for your experience.

I am fairly short-sighted in my right eye. The left eye i had the accident in is my "good" eye, in that i am very sharp vision there. But since the accident, the vision reduced a little. They said my optic nerve got inflammed due to the trauma.
Summarily, i am short-sighted now, but i am still able to go about my day's activities without having to resort to glasses, but i strain my eyes sometimes to make out far objects and letterings.

Please, where are you based? Can i consult with you physically? If there is anything wrong with the eye (i earnestly pray not), i want us to be able to detect it fast, so that it can immediately corrected.

I empathize with you in this situation. The Oct result didn't really reveal much to be worried about. I really doubt glaucoma in this case as even the yellow highlights doesn't indicate a thinning as observed in glaucoma but rather in this situation, they re a little thicker than the expected in that region . What's your visual Acuity like in each eye ?

Can someone explain why the eye brows in the first and second pic re different ?

Doc, I need your help/advice. I recently discovered that distant things seem blurry. Like its difficult to recognize faces from afar as they also seem blurry and even notice boards that are a little far off. But I noticed one thing, sometimes the vision feels better (clearer than other times). Eg its usually worse in the evenings and when I press phone for like 30 minutes...although the difference is not so major. I dont have any major health issues. Please should I be concerned.

of course you should be concerned and schedule fr an eye exam. It could be a refractive error that requires glasses or even more serious problem like glaucoma. it's necessary you have it examined

Hello dr pls I do notice something like pimples in my eye(eyelid), sometimes by the upper part or lower part, it itches me like particles in it but not particles. If i use mirror to check i do see something like pimples and It stays a day to 2days before it will go on it own. pls help

This is very very true doctor. I was diagnosed of having refractive error in the year 2008. I was also given a photochromic lens to be using. But i stopped using it after a few months cause it usually leaves me with headache anytime I wear it. Please what can I do? What exactly cause refractive error please?

u probably had headaches then because the lense prescription wasnt the right one for your eyes. You'll be needing to do a new eye examination and get new pairs of glasses

ok, just visit an eye clinic so they examine you as there are quite a number of things that could make you experience these symptoms. If you live in Lagos you could visit Arrive alive diagnostics as i learnt their eye clinic is offering free eye tests this period but would be ending by next week wednesday . u could check up the address on google and see if it's close to you

are your eyes bulgy sort of and maybe become red ?

Good morning Dr.
I was diagnosed with having 'assisted, normal tension' glaucoma in 2017 (my dad battled glaucoma for some years and was operated upon about 10 years ago).
I've been on and off Alphagan 0.02% eye drop from time to time and I also supplement with yeast tablets and cod liver oil capsules.
Even with all of these, my eyes get overly strained and painful sometimes.
Please what can I do? Should I switch to a different eye drop? Should I add something new?

you eye strain and pain may not be attributed to the glaucoma. I highly suspect the cause to be an uncorrected refractive error. I'll advise you visit the eye clinic for an exam

good evening doc,I can't see under light,and was given glasses for it, since 2017,so anytime I wake up from sleep or am about to sleep,my eyes are always teary,pls advise me.

and this only happens prior to sleeping and immediatly after wake ?

it's fine. everything would be normal as he grows. Ensure he uses the glasses regularly. Regards

I noticed the turn in the eyes is very severe/conspicuous now whenever the glasses are off compared to the turn before the glasses.

how about when he's on the glasses do you notice any turn ?

Yes i use eye glasses the double vision gets corrected when I'm on glasses but when i remove it things get doubled on the left eye again.

oh you have to use your glasses regularly .

No. There was a day my eye got strained after working on system for hours and it started the next day.

when you were being examined, did the doc talk about you having to use glasses aswell?

Yes

did something happen before u started noticing this ? Any form of trauma to the eye?

Antiochus:
My left eye is seeing double but that's when things are in far distance and my lower eyelid is shaking.

when u close the right eye , does the LE still see double ?

you cannot manage it yourself. Go see your eye doc for an exam first. He/she would tell you how to go about it based on clinical findings

yes of course . Diabetes affects your eyes in many ways. While managing diabetes, it is important you see an eye doc to examine your eyes as diabetes could have a devastating effect on your eyes and u could even cause one to go blind
