Hello Sir, May God bless you for the wonderful work you're doing here.

Please sir, I always have a redish/yellowish eyes. How can I reduce it naturally and whiten it?
depends on what's the cause as different conditions can temporarily affect eye colour. note that You can't make your eyes whiter than it is if that's the natural colour . you should have it checked out by scheduling fr an eye exam as change of eye colour could indicate something serious that needs to be given attention to

IF you have PLANS of Leaving NIGERIA then quickly go for NURSING and do it without looking back, so that you don't turn into a pillar of salt.
However, if you have plans of remaining in Nigeria forever....
Please go for PHARMACY...

Okay Sir. Please do you recommend any eye drops?
i do not recommend drugs without examining you in person. u would realize i suspected either of the two conditions listed and an examination would help me to be certain of which is and recommend treatment appropriately rather than blindly prescribing drugs here fr u. it would be better u make out time to visit an eye clinic close by u.

Hi doc,

Please is it OK for my dad to go for cataract surgery. He has had cataract for years. He is diabetic and it is now affecting his vision. Though his sugar level will be under close watch before the surgery. What are the chances of having this done on a diabetic patient.

I am worried sick about the surgery!
there's no surgery without risk . Just ensure the surgeon you are using is quite an experienced one. He'll do fine as an experienced surgeon is very well knowledgeable in handling such a situation. Do your findings on the success stories of d hospital / clinic u intend using .

Hello Doc, more grace to you.
My eyes are really itchy and red. Been scratching thru out the day. Had to see nurse and She told me dat I should take a drug called Banocide to stop it. I don't know if She's correct. PLs what do you suggest I do to stop the itching and redness. cry
you shouldnt use the recommendation of the nurse. What you are experiencing is most likely an allergic conjuctivitis. I'll not like to prescribe online but the drug the nurse asked you to get isn't gonna work for the condition you are likely having

Good evening Doc, please should I be worried about this white patch at the corner of my 4months old baby eyes. It's doesn't itch or disturb her, though it keeps increasing in size
a dermatologist would be in a better position to evaluate that.

Pls get your IOP checked. If you also have feelings of vomiting some times just get your IOP value checked.
well, your suggestion aint out of place but since it only occurs during teeth grinding , i doubt it has to do with his iop. also , it isnt out of place for some persons to experience head aches or pain when they grind their teeth.

Received severe blows in my eyes from some guys that want to forcefully collect my phone
The next day patches of blood appears on the white part of my eye without any form of pain or visual loss although the patches of blood seems to reduce very slowly, Monday will make it two weeks

Please I want to know if there is cause for alarm
Tnx
well it's just a sub conjuctival hemorrage and would resolve overtime. If it's just the blood stain, then , there's no cause for alarm.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria will never be better until.... by optm(m): 4:59pm On Aug 25, 2020
The problem is with nigerians. An average nigerian isnt any different from the political rulers they complain about. An average nigerian is self seeking and an opportunist . They are only angry if a system doesnt benefit them and not cos the system is bad.

I would advise she sees an opthalmologist preferable at a teaching hospital. There are lots of opticians and optometrists parading as doctors and causing serious irreversible damage yo people vision
pls remove the optometrist from this your write up and stop mis informing the public. You do Know little or nothing about who optometrist are and their scope of training. Stop trying to tarnish the image of a profession you do not know much about. Optometrist are licensed to do what they do and they can be very well held accountable for any mis management of a pt they treat.

I guess you have not been seeing an opthalmologist all this while. Most likely yiu have been seeing an optometrist or an optician hence the reason why he/she has continued to change your glasses. Please visit a Fedral medical Centre(FMC) or Teaching hospital.
so what if this pt is having a progressive myopia ? Which obviously is likely from his narration. you feel oh it may likely be an optometrist examining him and he's not being attended to rightly?

Pls who can give ME link or be of assistance to any FMC or teaching hospital that's recruiting for Medical Officers (Doctors), I'm just tired of searching and staying at home.
rather than staying home, you cld fix up in a private practice. Though the pay might be discouraging but you would be gaining in knowledge and experience pending when a better opportunity comes for u.

I'm 28.
i was thinking towards giant cell arteritis but you are quite young to be having that. You could meet your dentist for an assessment . What you are having has nothing to do with glaucoma to the best of my knowledge

Good evening doc

I registered cos of this. Pls, I noticed that it seems light is reflecting in the white part of my 4month old son's eye. By the nose side. It's not noticeable always though, only when he is at an angle where a light hits at a side of his face.

Attached is a pic. Is it something to worry about pls? Cos am already worried.
this shouldnt be a thing for worry. It's a natural phenomenon experienced by some persons when light passes through the eyes at a certain angle nevertheless a physical inspection by a professional wouldnt be a bad idea.

How safe is the use of contacts? What are the cons of using them?
it's safe if you were assessed before use as not everi1 are good candidates fr contact lens use. You'll also need to pay attention to hygienic practices for contact lens users else you put yourself at risk of eye infections

Hello Doc, a friend of mine complained of eye pains when looking at close objects. Example, when trying to weave clothes on his weaving machine. He said these pains now result to headaches and loss of concentration.

He visited a doctor recently and he recommended glasses to reduce the pressure on his eyes. Not satisfied with the idea of using glasses, he visited a health care group like that that did some computer scan on him and prescribed drugs that will heal the eyes without glasses. These drugs amounted to 60k.
The dilemma is that, he doesn't like glasses and he is not sure that those people can treat him.

the headache could be caused by an eye issue. U hv to rule that out
