So a friend transfered some funds to me days back twice due to network.. To be sincere d devil whispered in my ears to keep it and not transfer back but then common sense prevailed. I simply transfered it back cos I wouldn't actually gain anything by keeping it but would probably lose his trust and friendship.

there are no particular rules. The only rule clinically significant in management of glaucoma, is applying your eye drops appropriately as recommended and adhering to your follow up appointments in monitoring if there's progression of the disease. The other rules like posture altering the eye pressure , certain foods and all that do not impact on management outcome of the disease so re not of much essence except in theory

well if you can afford those suppliments, they are good as they are rich in antioxidants which offers some protection to the optic nerves in the eye and reduces the chances of damage to the nerves . Go for them if you can afford them. Note: u still have to continue applying your eyedrop as the suppliment isn't a substitute for the eye drop.

Some persons have no issue marrying one without integrity cos they probably are lacking it ( there's compatibility ) . It's obvious your intended wife lacks integrity , the question is, can u deal with such a person as a wife ? It's her person already and hoping for a change that might hardly happen is risky. You have seen the red flag , ask your self if you can manage her if it happens she doesn't change ? If you cannot tolerate dealing with sm1 that lacks integrity, then, you'll be doing yourself much good by calling off the marriage else u'll be miserable in such union. When you re married, that's when you'll see her unleash all she is and you wouldn't be spared from having a taste of her untrustworthiness in her interactions/dealings with you

Good morning all,
I got hit in my left eye by a ball yesterday morning, Due to pains and because I couldn't open it properly, I bought eye drop immediately, use it and slept.
After like two hours, I woke up and I am able to open it a little bit but I notice something like a flash in my sight and also in the dark I couldn't see anything with the same eye, this morning also I notice there is blur in the same eye vision.
Pls any remedy or solution I could use

hello Doc,

Last week Friday I took the step for another opinion. meanwhile I stopped taking the eye drop and drug on Wednesday to clear out of my system.
the Optometrist I saw on Friday did eye pressure test, he got 17 and 18 for the 2 eyes and said it is normal but he said we have to bear in mind that I was taking drop till Wednesday and the day was Friday. he told me to come back on Thursday for a new eye pressure test. he said the cup size is within normal and not enough to diagnose glaucoma but he said we should chill till Thursday. so I have stop taking drugs and eye drop since Wednesday, just PCM for pain. the doctor even said my vision is 100% there which I confirmed. just the blurriness and slight headache sometimes.

but within yesterday and today, one eye started closing compare to the other. attached is the picture. not painful but the discomfort is too much. I am beginning to develop fever.

The specialist has recommended Betaxolol eye drop for me today after checking the last CVF test which he compared with the first one i did. He siad i should be applying it in the morning and at night and i was told to come back in 3 months time. But my eye pressure was normal when it was measured last week.

betaxolol eye drop is used in managing glaucoma . Pls do adhere to your meds as instructed.

I really do pray so. The Dr. Said it's good we came on time. He had a patient late last year about the same age with same change and the child is okay now even without glasses.

Update...

I later settled for Florida eye clinic Abuja. We met with the pediatric opthalmologist who carried out some tests on him and said he has defects on the two eyes and he's equally long sighted. He finally advised at this age and stage, glasses are the best option. He ran some tests again and said he will be needing 6.something bla bla...

Just like u said, he said it's still very much treatable at his age, that the glasses are correctional and that once he has them on then the eyes won't turn again which will further help in strengthening the muscles.
He gave me his WhatsApp number and said the child should be snapped and sent to him while using glasses, depending on what he sees, he will schedule another meeting.

Finally, the cost was within range; frame, lenses, consultation etc all amounted to 33,500

that's good. i'm hopeful this would Very well work out. Thanks for the update

you might be needing artificial tear drops but management approach depends on the cause but firstly, you'll be needing to see an eye doc to examine you and establish a diagnosis .

well probably due to insufficient tears quantity/quality and this can be due to a number of causes.

you shouldnt self medicate as you could be treating off the issue. try to get across to your doc next time before repeating previously prescribed meds. Those drugs re for allergies and i see no reason you are using both of them same time. Use your glasses offen and use either of the drops and do not use more than as prescribed by ur doc

well your night experiece i find quite strange if it is as you just explained. Why dont you visit an eye clinic so they match clinical findings with your explanation and try come up with what could likely be the issue?. your itchy and teary eyes would also be taken care of

Many persons cannot Go through difficult times without good support from loved ones. let's learn to be there for one another. People re going through alot. i pray she finds peace. And for professional beggers and scammers making it difficult to help those genuingly in need, u shld realize ur life can nd would never be better than what it is if you continue on this path

I went for check up and the doc said it's glaucoma, my IOP was 8 and 12, was told will need to do OCT scan, she placed me on dorzolamide hydrochloride ( was told it's a combination of two eye drops) and hydroxypropyl. She said I shld come back in two weeks. I had done CVF before and not she said OCT. Are there some food I need to do away with. She said I shld avoid coffee( shld I also avoid tea) ?
I was given a polarised glasses too.
I'm 33 yrs old now and she said I might HV to be using d drop for a lifetime. Please I don't want it to get to a stage of having to do surgery.

yes glaucoma should be queried as the difference in pressure between the two eyes is quite significant as it ought not to be more than 2mmhg. you are likely having a normal/low tension glaucoma. Doing an OCT is quite necessary to establish a diagnosis. though there might be other investigations like pachymetry (to see if the pressure difference is possibly due to the corneal thickness difference between the eyes )your doc might want you to do aswell. As for the coffee, studies have shown that caffin increases eye pressure and this wouldnt be good for you. sorry you'll have to use your drugs through out life if it's established you re having glaucoma

it's not just a one off thing. You'll need to occassionally meet with your doctor and manage through until the child get through with it. IT can be treated but it's a journey

they may be needing to carry out a cycloplegic refraction on the baby. Many clinicians run from it cos attending to kids that age can be very difficult. You need a clinician that would be patient enough and skilled in handling kids that age. An orthoptist or a pediatric optometrist or ophthalmologist would be best for such

not sure of any i can recommend in Niger state but why don't you share the problem here ? You could get a lead on what might be the issue. you could explore clinics in abuja since it's a neighbouring state to niger state
