We visited an eye doc and after examining and scan, they said her sugar and bp has not been properly controlled over time hence the sight challenges. She was asked to take injection in the eyes. Now she is scared and has refused to take this injection. Pls doctor, what are the alternative ways to treat this as her sight is still deteriorating. Thank you sir

she has probably developed a diabetic retinopathy . She has to stick to the docs recommendation else she could go blind. It isn't what should be taken lightly . The earlier the better for her .

I have been a short sighted person. When I was in school I used to sit on the front row inorder to see the board clearly. I cannot identity people from afar until they get closer to me. When i got to the University I got a glasses and my vision improved. As I begin using computer I noticed that I always observe some object on my vision, when I try to concentrate on the object, they tend to drift away. Some of the objects are inform of rings and others like Lines. But if I put on my glasses the object interference with my vision reduces.
I check it up on Google, I found out it is called floaters. Please doc, does these floaters have negative effect on my sight?

floaters could be indicative of something serious and needing attention but not in all cases . There's actually no satisfying treatment for floaters. you just have to learn to ignore them. Nevertheless, you should go for an eye exam to ascertain there's nothing more to the floaters

How can we have a tyrant in a democratic dispensation?. The national assembly is of no use. Operation flush them all out in 2023. I mean all . Go get your voters card ready ya all

these are symptoms usually associated with uncorrected refractive error. You have to see an eye Dr. You ll most likely be needing corrective lenses

glasses comprises the lense and the frame. The frame is the body holding the lenses. The lenses is the part you look through to see . The frame is is sent to the optical lab for them to fix the lenses .talking about contact lenses , which are lenses fixed directly on the eye ball ( usually less obvious ) unlike in glasses ( which do not make direct contact with the eyeball) where everyone knows you are wearing something on your face

In my secondary school days i always stay at the front row to be able to see the board properly.
I always feel bad when ever i can't recognize sm1 when they are not too far away, and not until when they are closer. And i think its getting worse.
Please doctors in the house, is there any solution to this predicament?? It makes me feel depressed when ever i can't read from the televion or had to bring my phone closer to my face.

Some people are telling me to go and run a test in the lab so that they can prescribe a glass or lense for me. But i don't want to use glasses as it will only make it get worse. There are also some supplements that i have come across but i don't knw how true is it.

no drug or supplement can help you here. You are most likely having a refractive errorand would be needing glasses. U could also opt for contact lenses if your eye doc deems u suitable fr it after examination

might likely be a case of chronic eye allergy . See your eye doc for an examination and possible management ll

lolz sorry about that. I know the economy is biting hard but clinics are businesses as well and prevailing economic circumstances would also reflect on its running cost and apparently that of its goods and services.

You need to buy another camera,probably the one there is bad or not even available there, you just have the camera hole.

I believe you just got it, take it back to the seller unless it was stated that it doesn't have camera.

yes i just bought it. the seller has a bad customer service . He had me blocked on whatsapp. Of a truth , it escaped me asking about the webcam. Even when i chatted asking what could be done he was mute about it and picked offence when i sent him what microsoft sent about the system specs. I'll have to fix it myself. Do you have an idea of the cost implication to change the camera? Thanks

First let's confirm if your laptop have an inbuilt camera or if the camera is working fine.

Go to device manager, locate imaging device, if it is among the list, then your camera is fine and available but if it is not there then its either your camera is bad or it is not available.

Another question, can you see the camera hole at the top of your laptop screen bezel?

no i cannot find imaging device among the list . Yes it has the camera hole

LOL.. Funny you, this are things that can easily be upgraded or downgraded.

Note that some London used laptop don't come with HDD, it's the seller that buy and install them.
Some come with low RAM it's the seller that will upgrade it.

This is not an issue.

Good afternoon doc, since late last year I discovered a yellowish spot/growth on the white part of my right eye, when I discovered it it was kind of hard to spot but now it's really easy to spot I.e it's become more noticeable. I researched online and found out it was a pinguecula.
The problems now is that I'm really scared and I don't want this to progress more I don't know what to do to stop this growth. I also want to know if it's possible for me to remove it because I'm young and I can't have what's meant for old people.

lolz just try reducing exposure of your eyes to harsh environmental conditions . Gettin a uv a nd b protective sun glasses or photochromic lenses fr outdoors is advised.

it's not an emergency. You ll have to be patient until things normalizes . It would only correct it when worn nd when u take off the glasses, your eye returns back to seeing blurrily

It happens that the webcam isnt functioning and i had to go online to sought for self help if i could sort it out . In the course of that, i found out details sent by microsoft on the system specs was different from what was seen when i checked the system properties . Please i am confused. oh ok . The blurry vision is most likely caused by myopia. You ll be needing glasses to help you see better

pick up a news paper or a bible with small prints and cover the good eye. Check if you can read the prints with the blurry eye

any experience of seeing threadlike strands or cobwebs in your field of view? Fashes of light? Are you diabetic? Any trauma to that eye prior that day, any family history of blindness or glaucoma, any noticeable symptom aside the blurriness in that eye?
