ecclize:Smiles... bro, ofcourse there is no monopoly of irresponsibility by any gender... but the discussion is majorly about a WIFE giving her inheritance to the HUSBAND.... if it were to be the other way round, I would have addressed it from that perspective also |
Majority of Yoruba do give their daughters, married or not, part of their inheritance. Infact, from my own side, Ijebu, it is SHARED equally or as the father willed.... Infact, the daughter's children sef have rights in that house.... ...to the question. Such questions arises when marriages are faulty. When greed, distrust and selfishness reign in marriages. Personally, in a functional marriage, such issue doesn't need serious deliberations. Your parents are mine and mine are yours! In my family, except if unmarried, inheritance are given to couple because they are regarded as a whole, so "ogun baba wa ni"... and that is why, the duty to your spouse's parents are non-negotiable. However, in case of concern and cause for fear... a MAN will not put eyes into his wife's inheritance and he isn't expected to claim rights. It is at the discretion of a WISE wife to extend this hand of fellowship to the husband. But with the crop of current irresponsible guys in town... na war o |
I've seen a very similar case before... it turns out the woman is battling with psychiatric issues... it was very late before we know. I suspect your mother is having psychological trauma...her behaviours are not so normal. She needs to visit the psychiatrist. PS: Your mom remains your mom! It is well bro |
jboixxx:Was suprised also... that doesn't include the drugs and co... the 9k+ covers admission, oxygen and d likes |
Odunolumide:It's effective. Last week, a friend who had spent over 1month in FMC Abeokuta got discharged with a bill of 9,700 naira only. We were expecting a bill not less than 100k. |
zeb04:Thanks for the advise |
Octopusssy:Thank you. |
Sterope:I woke up to lots of ravenous mentions from WOMEN...hehehe... Well, I'm never the type that will consider anyone less on the basisbof gender... I deal with women as boss, subordinates and as friends. However, living in a marriage I believe is different from that. And am I working on changing? Definitely, I am! Do you think it pleasures me to do that? No! |
Kweenluchy:Smiles...for someone like me, being aggresive with me only makes me paranoid and super aggresive (Innate also)... a soft action breaks me...and I do tell her to stop "guilt tripping" me... I hate that look ehn |
Wow... you know, I have this tendency also. Mine is that whenever there is an outsider around (even my wife's friend), I want everywhere to be well arranged and all things done prompt and perfectly. Unconsciously, I shout at her and she always voice her displeasure. Infact, I used to have a friend visiting and staying for 4days or so...and she said that "whenever David is around, you misbehave"... Trust me, David had nothing to do with what wàs happening. It's innate to me and it's triggered by my wife's actions or inactions. Now, we are on a visit to her parent's place...and I'm acting up again... |

Good morning Tadeus. How much can I get 2007 volkwagen passat and 2007 volkswagen jetta? Which is best among both (reliability and middle class efficient)? Truthfully, I have a budget between 850k - 1.1m |
tactius:Old man, weldone... Mods aren't as dumb as you think. I won't join words with someone who can't understand the difference between 'I feel like cursing you' and 'I will curse you'... Good night old man and rest well |
tactius:I felt like CURSING you with the gibberish you wrote, but I changed my mind in the spirit of lent. You speak as if you don't live in this country or read about this country. Ofcourse, what you wrote is obtainable in SANE countries... I know how much I currently pay as PAYE and I am currently typing this from a long queue for fuel to power my Generator. Brother, please be guided when you speak next time. The taxes being levied, can you point to projects done by it to improve the masses' lives? Please, let's be guided o |

KENTHAZ:My brother... Your analysis is fallible. By positive popularity, Akinlade stands no chance sir. Akinlade's popularity is a a dented one due to Amosun's antecedents. |
TheFisayo:Fisayo...smiles... The myth behind it is that if a lady in her prime enters the grave site, she will enter menopause asap. The belief is that any female that enters the site cease to be reproductive. I haven't been privileged to confirm this, but my grandfather once told me it has been experimented with a female dog. I once had a privilege to the hardcopy portrait of the said woman. Real or fake, I can't verify. Will check archives if I can get it. I'm interested in how you feel the Government can brand this cultural site because I personally believe there is so little to be attracted to. |
akdjr:There is always an acolyte on standby to light it... Same reason modern parishes go for electric light |
CAPSLOCKED:Too shallow, even for an 'Atheist' |
In Anglican churches, we don't pray with or to candles. However, there is every likelihood that you'll see a BURNING candle in the altar, on the altar table. This is mere SYMBOLISM. It is just to symbolize the light of the gospel. It is mostly common to the conservative anglican congregation. Some modern parishes have adopted Fancy electric Lights. Bottom line: burning candles on Anglican altars symbolizes Presence of LIGHT and the light of the gospel which MUST NOT be quenched. Therefore, during services such as 'High churchmanship', the candle light MUST NOT quench. I think same apply for Catholic. |
